Lucian smirked slightly as he placed his glass back on the table, "We have the whole evening to ourselves, I believe that's more than enough time," He had set aside tonight solely for that purpose.
Katherine smiled faintly as she looked down at her plate to avoid having to maintain Lucian's heavy gaze on her. "I suppose," She murmured just before taking a sip of the finely squeezed grape juice.
She stayed silent for a moment because she was hesitant about what to say to him. "I enjoyed living in the countryside," She subtly began to compare it to life in the castle, "It was serene," she added.
Katherine's soft tender nature was not something that had gone unnoticed by him. She seemed to find pleasure in the simplest things. Everything about her was tame, even her feline features.
