Chapter 61 - SAVIOR

NARRATOR'S POV 

        The test has officially begun as Rachelle was thrown over the water. On the other hand, Alexander tightly gripped the clock he has in his hand, he remembered his instructions well- therefore, he will not allow his emotions to control him.

 While Rachelle's body sunk deeper into the lake, the people started whispering again.

'What happened?' a few asked curiously, this was supposed to be fun- a witch was supposed to float above the water for them to capture and burn at the stake. Such an event could entertain the people for years, imagine gossiping about the same story over and over until a new witch was declared- a sight to see.

'Mama does that mean she was not a witch' a child spoke with innocent round eyes and soft voice, his words echoed into the crowd. Gasps started to emit from the people's filthy mouth- the very same mouths that condemned Rachelle, same mouths that cursed and abused her.
