After pondering for atleast a month, I've decided that for now not to tell Minji about me and continue to pretend that I'm Ho-Jun.
Although, hyungs told me to tell her, but to be honest I've known her only for a few months and in these months we have only met ten to eleven times only.
I couldn't risk to reveal my identity to the public like this, it will not only affect me but also the whole group and our company.
I don't want any kind of unnecessary rumours to start before I get to know her and confess my feelings to her.
As we were in our way back to Seoul, I texted Minji and she was quite excited to see me. I asked her if she could pick me up and she quickly agreed.
It has been twenty minutes since I've been waiting for her infront of the airport, in a shaded corner.
Others have left and I was lucky that media didn't notice that I sneaked away, I've to treat Taehyung later for helping me.
The performance in Seoul will take place after three days from now, so our manager has told us to take a good rest today.
I'm planning to visit my Eomma and Appa after our concert. I haven't visited them for a long time and I miss them very much. I last saw them on New Year and we haven't talk much after that, Eomma have called few times when I was on the tour but maximum time I couldn't pick up her call, as we were busy with rehearsals and attending press conference.
I opened my phone and it was already 4:00pm and our flight landed on 3:30pm. Guess like Minji is busy, being a doctor isn't a easy job though and same goes for a k-pop artist also. Actually, no work is easy, we all have our duties to fulfill in this society.
*Honk**Honk*
I heard a car pressing it's horn continuously and I looked up from my phone and there she was, Minji, waving her hands towards me and calling me.
"So sorry, I got caught in an emergency", she apologized as soon as I came and stood infront of her.
"It's fine, being a doctor isn't easy", I said and she smiled.
"So, let's go then, we can talk inside the car", she suggested and opened the door.
"Mind if I drive??", I asked and she nodded.
We got into the car and I started the engine. Soon we were on the highway.
"How was your trip??", Minji asked.
"Tiring", I sighed.
"Aren't you feeling hot??", she asked looking at my jacket.
"Remember, I've weak immunity power, so I kind of feel cold now and then", I said nervously hoping that Minji believes me. I've also searched about it in Google and it said that few people with low immunity power feel cold as their body heat is weaker than normal people and because of this they are prone to catch cold easily. Atleast I've done my homework properly.
"But don't you feel uneasy even when you are wearing gloves all time", she asked.
"I've got used to it", I was glad she believed me.
"Ok....", she said and turned silent.
"How was your day??", I asked.
"Pretty normal....operations, patients, keeping up with emotional family members of the patients, listening to Minho's nonsense, but there was one great thing though", she said.
"And what was it??".
"Today at lunch there were pork ribs", Minji giggled like a child.
"Good for you", I said.
"Ho-Jun.....this isn't the way to Seoul", Minji suddenly said looking out of the window.
"I know", I said looking ahead.
"Where are we going??", she asked nervously.
"Don't worry and just believe in me", I said looking at her and she calmed down.
It took us almost one and a half hour to reach our destination. The sun has already set and twinkling stars have appeared on the evening sky.
I parked the car at the side of the road and we both got off it at the same time.
"Isn't this place....", Minji said taking in the familiar surroundings.
"Yes, our sunset point", I said locking the door of the car.
I made my way towards her and held her hand, I caught her by surprise.
"Is it ok for you to spend sometime with me here??", I asked looking into her eyes, it was already dark but I would feel her eyes sparkling as she looked into my eyes.
She didn't say anything but just nodded and I could feel her smiling. I held her hand tightly and she didn't shook it off. I kept looking into her eyes and felt myself getting lost in them. I saw her parted lips under the light of the twinkling stars and I wanted to kiss them. At that moment I felt that the time has stopped and we both were standing in the right place in the right time.
We stood like that for a long time before Minji moved back and coughed.
"I guess we should go and sit somewhere", I said looking away.
"Yeah....", she said softly.
We started walking and reached our spot were we sat and talked the last time. We both sat down and looked over at the sea.
"Why did you bring me here suddenly??", Minji asked.
"No specific reason, I just wanted to come here with you", I said.
"Ok".
"I brought something for you", I said and took out the fried chicken and beer from my bag.
"Awe.....my favourite", Minji quickly took one fried chicken and moaned.
"Is it good??", I asked.
"It's delicious", she said and continued eating. I took one piece and it was really good.
"Isn't it peaceful here??", Minji said.
"Yes!", I replied.
"Thank you for bringing me here", she said taking a sip from her beer.
"And thank you for giving me company", I said looking at the view.
"Ho-Jun, do you like the sea??", she asked.
"Yes, I do!", I replied.
"Why do you like it??".
"Because it's calm".
"The sea can never be calm. Calmness of the sea is always the beginning of a storm", she said.
"Then why do you like it??", I asked looking at her.
"Because I'm searching for something", she answered looking at the sky.
"What are you searching??".
"Answers to my questions, the questions which even I don't know but those questions are there", she said.
"Hmmm".
"Ho-Jun, do you believe in love??", she asked.
"Yes obviously, the feeling of love is one of the greatest gift of God for us. Few understand and few don't, many people think that it all illusion because of the hormonal effect in our body but I say that this feeling is something whom not even the most knowledgeable person in the world can describe. What do you think of it??", I asked.
"Love is like God", I couldn't really get her and she understood that I couldn't understand what she meant.
"Anyone who knows God can't describe Him. Anyone who can describe God doesn't know Him. Same goes for love also, anyone who can describe it doesn't really know what it is", she explained and I was stunned with her explanation.
"That was just 'woah'", I said and she smiled.
"Ho-Jun, do you think that sacrificing in love is a good thing??", she asked.
"I don't know about love but our life is all about give and take, sometimes you have to give or sacrifice something for your betterment only. But that decision should be yours only, if you want to give it up or not. Sometimes people sacrifice too much because of what society thinks but they shouldn't do it", I took a sip from my beer.
"What people think shouldn't bother us, it's our life not theirs. Society and people are only there to judge and create obstacles in your path. It's a test for you that only you can overcome and it is also a step for loving yourself", I continued and Minji didn't say anything just stared at me.
"Good answer", Minji said with a smile.
"Do you read books, Ho-Jun??".
"No I don't. What about you??", I asked.
"I'm a bookworm but I don't really get time to read them nowadays", she said with a sad smile.
"Who are your favourite authors??", I asked.
"Paulo Coelho, Cecelia Ahern, Agatha Christie, Stephen King, Nicola Yoon and John Green", she replied.
"I've heard about Paulo Coelho, John Green and Stephen King", I said.
"Paulo Coelho is my all time favourite writer. I've almost read all of his books like Brida, Alchemist, Eleven minutes, Zahir, Aleph, The Winner Stand Alone, By the river Piedra I sat down & Wept, Veronika decides to Die, Witch of Portobello, Fifth Mountain, Like the flowing river", she said in one breath and I was amazed.
"That's really.....amazing!".
"If you want to read his books I have them", she said looking at me with bright eyes.
"I-I would love to", I said and she smiled brightly.
"Great!".
After that, we sat there for another hour. I told her about my 'Business' trip and she listened with great interest. I told her that it was a group business trip and how one of colleague (Jimin) locked himself out of his room at the middle of the night.
"But how did he lock himself outside??", she asked.
"He wanted to play prank on our senior (Namjoon hyung) and in that process forgot to take his room key and he got locked outside. And the others quickly went inside their rooms and he sat on the floor until the manager came and unlocked the door", I said.
Minji started to laugh holding her stomach and I smiled behind my mask looking at her.
I don't know but subconsciously without my knowledge I have started to like her company. After such a tiring month also I'm not feeling bothered spending time here with her.
"I think we should get going now, it's already 8:00pm", I said although I didn't wanted to leave.
"What!? It's already this late. We have been sitting here for two hours??", she asked with wide eyes and I nodded my head.
We got up quickly and collected our things and started heading towards the car.
"Don't throw the chicken bones and empty beer cans here. We will dumb it in a dustbin on our way", Minji said looking at me.
"Don't worry I won't throw them here and pollute the environment", I said smiling behind my mask.
We reached the car and Minji got inside and I followed behind her and got inside.
Soon we were on our way back to Seoul. I was feeling kind of exhausted now and Minji noticed that and told she will drive now. I didn't argue and let her drive while I took a nap.
I didn't knew how long it took but when I woke up we were already in Seoul.
"Minji please, drop me infront of the Hannam the Hill", I said and Minji suddenly kicked on the brakes and we jerked forward.
"YOU. STAY. IN. SEOUL'S. MOST. EXPENSIVE. APARTMENT??", she asked looking stunned.
'Shit', I cursed in my mind. Minji kept looking at my face for an explanation and an idea came in my mind.
"Actually, I'm staying there with my hyung and he's a pretty wealth guy", such a lame excuse I came up with.
"Don't you know who stays there??", she asked with wide eyes.
"No.....", I said.
"BTS!", she nearly shouted.
"Oh.....that, actually we don't stay in the same building as them", I said nervously.
"Have you not seen them once??", she asked looking calm now.
"No", I said quickly.
"Oh", she said and started the car again.
In no time Minji parked infront of the Hannam the Hill and started looking around. I smiled behind my mask.
'Awe Minji, you didn't even know that a BTS member himself in sitting beside you right now and he also likes you', I thought to myself.
"I should get going now", I said interrupting her from her search mission.
"Huh!? Oh yeah....see you later then", she said moving her eyes from the window to look at me.
"Drive safely and take care", I said and got off the car. She started the engine and waved at me and I waved back. In no time she drove off and I was standing there alone.
Today it was really great, I hope we both can visit our sunset point again some other time.
"Minji, I like you more now", I said looking at the empty road where her car stood a few moments earlier.
