I cooked some chicken soup for Minji, as it was easy to feed in her current condition and chicken soup is very nutritious to fight against fever and cold.
After placing the soup on a tray, I entered Minji's room carrying the steaming hot soup.
I placed the chicken soup on the night stand beside her bed.
When I came near her, I noticed that she was shivering and forehead was still burning. Such a silly girl, even after being a doctor she didn't take of her health and caught a cold.
After taking off her shoes and socks, I bend down to make her sit properly in bed. I took off her coat and placed it on the chair and covered her with the blanket properly.
I undid her ponytail to make her relax a bit.
She was still unconscious and she looked very pale also.
I took the soup from the night stand and started to feed her. It was really tiring to feed her in her current state. It took me nearly half an hour to completely feed her the soup.
After that I searched her drawers for the cold medicine, but there was none.
I knew it was bad to look around in Minji's house when she's like this, but I've to find the medicine to get rid of her fever.
After searching for nearly 15 minutes, I still couldn't find the medicine. So, I decided to head out to buy some.
I put on my coat and shoes, locked the door properly and headed out.
It didn't took me long to bring the medicine, as the pharmacy was just infront of Minji's apartment and I was back in nearly 10 minutes.
After pouring a glass of water for Minji in the kitchen and I went off to give her the medicine.
Feeding her the medicine was easy, then I went inside the bathroom and came out with a wet towel and to wipe her face, hands and feet with it.
After that she seemed quite relaxed, so I stared at her sleeping face in a daze which was calm and peaceful. After sometime, I came back from my daze and decided to take some rest.
I took a chair and sat beside her bed looking at her. I turned off the lights, so that she could take a good rest.
I decided to take a quick nap, as I was also exhausted from today's work.
BTS are going to held a concert here and today we were doing our stage practice.
We all were messing around. Jin hyung was doing his part and me, Taehyung and Jimin hyung kept on disturbing him and at last we were scolded by Jin hyung.
But as soon as we stopped Namjoon hyung started to disturb him. Jin hyung's face was one to look at.
And then suddenly, Suga hyung found a guitar and started to play it, so all of us sat there listening to him for a long time. With that, we successfully wasted half of our practice day.
And among all of us, Hoseok hyung was the one who didn't do anything, he just kept watching and laughing at us.
As I thought about it, I feel asleep. It was not until 7pm that I woke up.
I opened by drowsy eyes and saw that Minji was still fast asleep.
It was very dark inside the room and I couldn't see her face, so I turned on the bed side lamp.
As soon as I turned on the lamp, the first thing I saw was Minji's face.
Her brows were furrowed and droplets of sweat were clearly visible on her forehead. She seemed to be in pain. She clenched the bedsheets tiredly in her hand and her breathing was fast.
I suddenly started to panic.
"Minji, are you alright?? Is it hurting anywhere?? Should we go to the hospital??", I asked anxiously, but she didn't give me any answer.
I didn't knew what to do, so I stretched out my hand and started patting her head gently.
After sometime she face started to relax and she let go of the bedsheets. I let out a sigh of relief and thought maybe she was seeing a bad dream or something.
Her fever have gone down also and she'll probably wake up any moment now, so I decided to make dinner for her, as she may feel hungry when she wakes up.
So, I took a last glance at her and headed towards the kitchen to make dinner.
********
I didn't knew for how long I had been sleeping, but it seemed like a long time.
In my dreams, I saw that I was in a very dark place , there was no light, no sound or not even a person was there.
I didn't knew but I was feeling suffocating in that place, I started to run but there was no end, I kept on running and running, I didn't knew for how long but it seemed liked I've been running for years.
Then suddenly, I started to feel pain in all over my body, I lay on the ground, as the pain was getting stronger and stronger.
As I was suffering from the pain, I suddenly felt that someone was caressing my head and my body started to relax and the pain subsided slowly.
I got up and again started to run and soon I saw a ray of light and when I looked carefully, I saw that I was in my room, laying on my bed.
My vision was blurry, so I couldn't make out the figure standing infront of me.
I rubbed my eyes and after sometime I saw that it was Ho-Jun who was standing infront of me.
I was so shocked that I forgot how to speak.
'What is he doing in my apartment?? How come I'm in my bed?? Who took me here?? How did Ho-Jun got inside my apartment?? And why the hell is he standing inside my room, right infront of me??', as a thousand questions bombarded my mind, Ho-Jun soft voice came in my ears.
"Thank Goodness Minji, you're ok!", he said.
"W-what are y-you doing here!?", I asked in a hoarse voice, my throat was still sore and I couldn't speak properly.
"Well.....it's a long story", he replied stretching the back of his neck.
After that he helped me get up and made in sit properly on the bed. He stuffed a pillow behind me to make me sit comfortably.
After making sure I was comfortable, he placed a tray on the bed.
"I made chicken and rice porridge for you. It'll help you with your fever too", he said and I just looked at him.
"But why are you here?? And how did you knew that I had a fever??", I asked again.
"Umm well, Minho called me and said that you're not well and asked me to go and check up on you, but when I arrived I saw you fainted on the floor, so I lifted you up and took you in your room! After that I made some chicken soup and feed you that, so that I could give you some medicine. I wiped your face, hand and feet with a wet towel to make you feel better and after sometime your temperature became normal, so I decided to make dinner for you because I thought that you may feel hungry when you wake up", he said without taking a breath.
After he finished talking, I was dumbfounded. I couldn't utter any word and kept staring at him with wide eyes.
"Y-you wiped my feet also-----", I asked still staring at him with wide eyes.
"Ummm yes....", he said in soft voice.
'Can I dug up a hole and bury myself in it??', I asked in my mind.
Gosh!! It's so much embarassing. As I was thinking about it Ho-Jun suddenly spoke.
"Minji, you should quickly eat the porridge while it's still hot or else it won't taste good after it cools down", he said.
"Okk", I said and took a quick taste of the hot porridge.
As soon as I put the hot porridge inside my mouth, I felt my mouth burning.
"Ahh....oh my God! My mouth.... It's so hot!", I said, as I covered my mouth.
"Silly girl, why did you quickly put it inside your mouth like that. You should have blown on it first", Ho-Jun said and took the spoon from my hand.
He took the porridge bowl in his other hand and took a spoonful of porridge and started to blow on it.
After that he stretched his hand infront of my mouth, telling me to eat.
"C'mon its not that hot now, have a taste", he said.
I slowly tasted it and it was not that hot like before and the porridge was really nice.
After that he started feeding me, although it was embarassing but it felt nice to be taken care of.
When I moved in college, there was no one who would take care of me like this even if I had a fever and I didn't even used to inform my mom also. The thing is that I didn't like to bother anyone if I didn't feel well.
It has been eight years, I've been staying like this and I've become quite habituated with it now.
After quickly finishing up the porridge, Ho-Jun went inside the kitchen to wash the bowl and dishes.
I told him that I can do it by myself, but he didn't listened and went off inside the kitchen.
I let out a sigh and decided to go inside the bathroom to freshen up a bit. I was still wearing my white shirt and jeans from my work and I was feeling quite uncomfortable in it.
I took out some clothes from my cupboard and went inside the bathroom to get changed.
I washed my face and tied up my hairs in a loose bun. I wore an oversized t-shirt and full pants. I liked to wear oversized clothes in home, they make me feel so comfortable.
When I came out of the bathroom, I noticed Ho-Jun sitting on a chair inside my room and was surfing through his phone.
"Hey Ho-Jun, what are you doing??", I asked as I made my way towards him.
"Umm nothing", he replied and placed his phone inside his pocket.
"Oh okay", I said and went to sit on my bed.
Silence fell inside the room and it was quite awkward, then only I noticed Ho-Jun looking at me.
"Is there something wrong??", I asked.
"No actually, but do you often wear oversized clothes in home??", he asked.
"Well yes", I replied.
"Oh nice, they look good on you", he said.
"Thanks", I replied.
Then again, the room fell into silence.
"Well.....", we both said in unison and look at each other in surprise.
"Well then, I should get going now. It's pretty late and I've some important things to do tomorrow", he said in a soft voice.
"Oh okay, sorry for troubling you so much", I said.
"It's no problem Minji! I told you remember, that we're friends, so you can rely on me sometimes", he replied as he got up to leave.
"Still thank you Ho-Jun for taking care of me", I said.
"It's fine", he said.
"Let me walk you up to the gate", I suggested.
"Okay", he replied.
"Take care of yourself Minji and don't forget to take rest and take your medicine on time. Minho had called earlier and I've told him about it, so he have asked for a leave from the hospital on your behalf and he said he'll visit you tomorrow", Ho-Jun said as he made his way out of the door.
"Ok, I understand! Drive safely on road", I replied.
"Yeah I got it! Bye".
"Bye".
After biding him goodbye, I locked the door and went inside my room.
Before going to bed, I took my medicine and started thinking what happened all day long.
'It was really a day full of surprises. And I guess, Ho-Jun is really a trustworthy guy', I thought and smiled to myself.
