"His soul,"
Chulain let out, he took Lugh's other half. He'll be gone if they don't free him. Chulian didn't notice that Avalon placed a hand on his arm. He looked at her distraught.
"If Lugh doesn't get you back, it's his to do with,"
The angels fire dimes. It happened so many times before, and she couldn't do anything about it. This time, there would be a change. The angel turned to Avalon, Chulain tried to grab Avalon's arm but couldn't,
"You have to let him take me,"
Avalon heard the desperation in his voice even if Chulain tried to hide it. Chulain pulled at the restraints again, and Damien pointed his gun at Chulain. But Avalon placed her hand on it, stopping him,
"You know that I can't, Chulain," Avalon told him
"You can't."
Chulain started to laugh, Avalon observed him, the pain that made you want to laugh at how absurd it was, but the pain of it was excruciating. Chulain stopped staring at her, astonished,
"Then why are you still here? Working for Shepherd?"
"What do you mean,"
"You are supposed to help the one who can't help themselves and look at what you're doing now. You can't help him when he can't help himself,"
He grabbed onto Avalon's arm breaking the restraint, Damien went to intervene taking Avalon's other arm, Avalon glanced at Damien, but he stopped at her stare, she didn't want him to intervene at all, Damien moved back and Avalon watched Chulain glared at her, his dug his nails into her skin, if she didn't want to help Lugh from his angel. Then Chulain will do it for them, he tried to ripe the other restraint off,
"Lugh made his choice, Chulain,"
Avalon grabbed onto his arm, pulling it to his side, Chulain turned his head and saw her soft gaze filled with compassion. Chulain didn't think of her in this light. All the surrounding talk is an angelic woman who had killed off Blake, but this was different. Avalon let go of his arm staring at him. She used to be in that position.
"You say that my job is to protect the ones that can't protect themselves, but Lugh can protect himself. Not by the angel but from me,"
"You're a fraud,"
"I'm a fraud? Can't he not protect himself, Chulain?"
"He can, but not from that demon!"
"Then he can try to reason with it,"
Chulain glared at her and wanted to grab her shirt, but the room shook, and some of the furniture fell onto the floor broken. Chulain grabbed onto Avalon with the roof in bits falling from the ceiling. Damien felt a heat move from his leg to his arm, the angel moved to his shoulder whispering,
"They have gotten closer. You must stop them,"
Damien glanced at the angel, she was staring at Avalon holding onto Chulain, he held her tight glaring at her, Avalon stared into his eyes, he knew what she was about to do and that made him irate. But his eyes betray him. The shaking didn't stop, but it lessened. Avalon let go of him and looked to Damien,
"We are the last?"
"Seems so,"
Damien walked to her, glancing at Chulian, he had his head down so that he couldn't see Chulain's eyes, Damien felt the angel move off him to Avalon sitting in her hand, the angel stared at them and said,
"They are very close. You must be vigilant,"
The angel stares at them and said,
"You have to stop him..."
She said something else but they couldn't hear it, the angel was gone as fast as she appeared. Avalon grabs her sword, heading to the door with Damien following her, Chulain watches them. Avalon opened the door, looked back at Chulain, and saw him staring back at her,
"Angel still has a hand on this room. She will keep an eye on you,"
Chulain eyes widened and yelled out for Avalon, but she walked out of the room with Damien, he looked at Chulain before closing the door behind him and locking it, they could hear Chulain yell from the room, Avalon looked at the hallway finding the wall broken on one side, the remains on the ground, Damien stood next to her looking at her,
"Well, what do we do now?"
"We can't wait for him now, can't we?"
They walked through the hallway into the next, and they saw bodies in the hallway stuck to the walls, Damien moved past Avalon to one of the men, Damien saw his breathing it was faint but there, Damien shook him but nothing,
"Dammit, they were already here," Damien muttered
Damien went to look at Avalon, he felt a burn on his right side, he felt it cut through his arm like a hot knife, he held his arm and dropped his gun, a great flash of light came into the room, he covered his eyes, hearing clash of metakx and a chuckle, it wasn't hers. he moved his arm, looking above him,
"You are the light of ninianne,"
Damien witnessed Lugh holding back Avalon's sword with his hand. It burned his hand, but that didn't matter to him. Avalon pushed the sword into his hand, staring intensely at Lugh. He didn't look like he did before. He stared down at her curious, she has a better handle of them than he did, and then they all did. Lugh pushed her back, but Avalon didn't move. She broke the concrete under her, jumped out of the duvet, and swung her sword at him, Lugh moved away faster than she could see.
"You have better control over the angel?"
Avalon turned to him, Lugh stared down at her, his eyes white, but she could see the color of his eyes through it. Is this what she meant by taking his soul? Lugh scoffed at her diapering, Avalon looked around her, Damien still lay on the ground trying to reach his gun, Avalon heard the rubble move from beside her, she lifted the sword above her head stopping him from cutting her in two, their swords clash with Avalon holding Lugh back, he stared down at her with a suave smile, he pushed her making her slipped backing away from him, Lugh observed her, how her eyes glowed like he has, as strong as he is, as aware as he is now, Lugh lunged at her and Avalon held her sword stopping him, she ducked under his sword sliced his stomach, he felt the burn from her sword and the strength from it, Avalon sent him through the wall into the next room,
"He's fast,"
Avalon stared into the room and saw Lugh lying on a broken couch, staring back at her. She saw more amber the white. She held her sword to him but grabbed a dagger from her hip, Avalon watched Lugh tilts his head and then run at her, Avalon threw her dagger at him and evades its moved to the side, Lugh got faster, he made his dagger and went for her throat swinging the dagger at her, Avalon held her hand out for it and caught it in her hand, she twisted Lugh's arm and kicked his legs, Avalon and Lugh stared at each other, he still had composer. Avalon kicked his stomach, sending him out of the room, Lugh hit the wall with a pained grunt, but he still looked at her. He's enchanted by her strength. How she was able to think ahead of what he would do. It was fascinating to him, Avalon felt the heat in her hand, and the sword shined ,
"You are an enigma, Avalon,"
Lugh smiled at her, adoring her power, Lugh got off the couch, Avalon threw another dagger at him and it went into his arm, Lugh stared at this undeterred, he grabbed the dagger staring at it, he heard his angel next to his head,
"That's her,"
Lugh watched the dagger glow with color, but the burn of his hand got worse with how long he held it. He heard the angel beside him warning him,
"Lugh she moved,"
Avalon rushed at him with her sword to her right side, Avalon slashed through his midsection, there was blood, but it was healed quickly, only a drop of blood landed on the ground with it an off red, Avalon felt him grab the back of her shirt, Avalon twist cutting off his hand. Avalon stabbed his chest, Lugh stared at her unimpressed, bu the heat from the blade went through his body. He coughed out blood. Nore than he did before. Me glared at her, grabbing the sword and burning his hand,
"You are using it, as if she let you have it," Lugh uttered
Avalon pushed the blade deeper into his chest and glared at him. She saw his eyes change back to his but came back a pale white. He was struggling to keep the angel influence?
"You're angel, it's fighting you, isn't it?"
Lugh pushed back against her, sinking his hand into the blade. Avalon dogged her feet into the ground, pushing against him, and Lugh stopped. He saw the angel on her shoulder staring at him, no his shoulder. Lughs stared at the angel, awed,
"Why like this?"
It turned again, as if time had stopped. Avalon's angel spoke, looking at the other angel, Lughs angel let out a chuckle,
"Still the same optimism, Sandel,"
Sandel huffed, staring at Lugh his eyes still flickered with his influence, Sandel looked at his angel, he's staring at Avalon, and he saw what she had seen in here for years. She's more compatible with them.
"She has your strength. She shouldn't be able to do that," He said
"I know, that is why I have decided to help her,"
"Then why stay with her like this and not watch from above?"
Sandel didn't want to tell him, he would go after her more than he is now, Sandel glanced at Avalon watching her eyes change with color, she didn't want him to change her for his benefit, for his control. Sandel gaze went back to him telling him,
"Because I wouldn't risk you controlling her. Like you have done with him,"
"This is what I do, Sandel, for my benefit. Do you think these bags of flesh would do this one there own,"
He went down Lugh's arm, and he shook in his form, scattering feathers in the room, it turned gold laying on the ground, Sandels fire was extinguished leaving Lugh's angel on his arm, time resumed. Avalon felt a feather land on her arm looking down at it. She noticed a bird on Lugh's arm, Lugh coughed out blood seeing his angel on him and staring at Avalon.
"What are you?"
Avalon glared down at the angel. She knew not to trust him, seeing how he could control Lugh by offering the angles strength for his wants. Avalon ripped her sword out of Lugh, and he fell onto his knee, holding his chest. Breathing heavily. Lugh stared at his angel on the ground in front of him staring up at Avalon. She pointed her sword at the angel glaring down at it,
"You can control it on your own," the angel uttered
Avalon struck the angel with her sword, and it moved away from her to Lugh on his leg. The angel tilted his head. She had Sandels strength, and it didn't harm her. The angel stared at Lugh, and he glared down at the angel, pissed off.
"You have my strength. If you get him back from her," the angel said
The angel jumped onto Lugh's shoulder and leaned to his ear, whispering. Avalon kept her sword to them watching them talk. The angel glanced at her then disappeared into Lugh's shoulder, Lugh glared at her, his eyes now a full white. He stood up staring at her strictly, filled with determination,
"You're in my way,"
Lugh rushed at Avalon, making a copy of her sword, Avalon moved back and blocked his sword. It started to melt.
