"This is quite the castle," Rhina mumbled
She and Blake stood in front of the castle, looking at it in awe, Blake stared at it stunned. This is his castle. Rhina glanced over at Blake and saw him staring at the castle in apprehension,
"Blake? That's your castle," Rhina asked
"Yes, it is... it's odd," Blake said
Blake walked through the door with Rhina behind him, he saw the three shadows. One of the white shadows had a dark shadow wrapped around it and the other white shadow was near a table with a piece of wood,
"This is what he took,"
Blake looked at the shadow, laughing at the shadow it had wrapped around it,
"You can't defeat me, Angel,"
Blake saw a bright white coming from within the shadow, another sharp light clashed with it and the angel's voice rang out,
"It won't be me defeating you,"
They both saw the other white shadow grabbing the piece of sparkling wood, Rhina felt her heartbeat quicken with the piece of wood in its hands.
"That where it came from," Blake muttered
He glanced over at her and asked, "Was that a part of your staff?"
"Yes it was made into a staff long before I was born, so why have an interest in the wood," Rhina spoke in wonder
"I have a feeling I will find it out for you," Blake told her,
Rhina was about to look at him but a burst of light came from in front of them, they saw the two shadows fighting with the other shadow running towards the front door,
"I can't let this happen,"
The shadow tried to move past the Angel, however, she stopped it by grabbing onto its leg,
"It will happen whether you like it or not shadow,"
She lifts him higher before slamming him on the castle floor, dust is around the air blocking Blake's and Rhina's vision, but a clash of the shadows shined a light and made them see,
"You just had to come down here. Ruining everything I had worked for..." The shadow seethed
"It not yours to have darkness, you know that. you became full of envy for what humans have." The angle said
The angel pushed the shadow back from her and kept her daggers near her, Blake saw this and knew what they were. They are Avalon's now… shining as bright as they were with her. Blake saw the shadow pull a knife from beside him and pointed at the angel,
"You know my light, I can't let you leave after this,"
"Who said I would be the one stuck here?" The angel questioned
He huffed lunging at her making their weapons clash, The shadow swung to her left side only to have the angel block it and send her dagger into the side of his neck, he moved back staring up at her with Peter's eyes showing. it's a bright amber shining thought before they turned black.
"It seems like he is still in their darkness," The angel mocked
"Yes that seems so angel, but it won't matter," He scoffed
He grinned at her. The angel looked at him weary with the shadow making the smoke wrap around her again,
"This is the same thing you have done before," She muttered
The shadow chuckled at her words while he appeared beside her, mocking, "I haven't tried this yet,"
He then threw his knife and was caught by him. He is above her now, staring down at her,
"What?" She muttered
The angel moved back in thought, how could the shadow be from more than one place, she looked above her to find him not there, his laughter rang through the shadow while Blake watched he was stunned.
"I didn't know the shadow could do this,"
The angel looked around her, hearing the shadow's laughter stop, she felt something coming at her side and tried to move away, but she was grabbed on her other side,
"You haven't made it this far in your ability. haven't you angel?"
A knife stabbed into her neck and she tried to pry him off, the shadow looked at her not moving until a hand punched him off of her, the angel held her neck breathing heavily. She glanced at where the shadow was, but he was gone, only to hear footsteps around her,
"You should let me kill you then angel,"
He appears in front of her, but there are two more of him on each side, angel glared at him feeling her breathing get slower, she lifted her dagger in her hand whispering,
"Go storage solas,"
The dagger glows brighter than before, and the shadow is stunned but not surprised. He was taught in those ways as well, his two other shadows started to burn away by her dagger, but he pulled them back and made his little whisper, as he pointed to both of her sides, the angel went to move the dagger, but it was too late. They appeared and grabbed her,
"Cuir an te solas, ann mo Sgail,"
The shadow knife shined and gleamed a dark red, he gave the angel one last smile before throwing the knife. The angel tried to pry the shadows off her, however, it was too late, the knife hit her injured chest and she felt a deep cold hit her chest and spread through her body. She went limp in their hold,
"Let her go,"
They looked over at the shadow and diapered, Blake watched as the shadow walked away from her and saw the shadow not looking back at her, Blake could see the anguish in him but could see the gratification as well.
"Soals,"
The shadow felt the heat hit his back and a throbbing pain traveled in his heart, he bent down on his knee and coughed, the shadow felt blood drip down his chin. He looked over at the angel and saw that she was grinning at him before the shine in her eyes went away,
"Blake?"
Blake watched the shadow look at the angel with conflict in his eyes before he fell as well, Blake felt that he was here before.
"What is this?"
"A way out of dying,"
Blake remembered those words it felt the same here. Blake felt a hand on his shoulders with Rhina shaking him, she stared at him in fright.
"We need to leave immediately. the past is starting to collapse around us," Rhina said
Blake looked around them to see if what she told him was true, the castle was falling away like dust, Rhina held his hand and made her mist manifest. She looked at it and said, "Take us back,"
Rhina's shadow twirled around them making the castle disappear from their site. the shadow had the shine it once had before it appeared again in the castle but in Blake's office, Rhina moves away from Blake to her shadow,
"That was only a bit of your shadow's past," Rhina told him,
Blake was looking at her shadow in thought, "If that was its past then it has the intention of betraying me, but the angel... it has a connection to my... Avalon,"
"It seems like we were always meant to be at odds,"
"Blake?" Rhina asked
Blake looked over at his mother with a glint in his eyes. Rhina saw this and knew what that would mean for him. He walked over to her and said, "Thank you,"
It was faint but stern. Rhina smiled at him and hugged him, Blake was stunned and wounder to push her away, he heard a sniffle come from her with her hold tightening around him, Blake wrapped his arms around her,
"I have done what you have asked my son,"
She let him go and went back to the piece of wood, She grabbed it and looked it over with hums before disappearing, Blake watched that and walked back to his chair looking over the office,
"The shadow was vastly different back then. More cunning and deceitful, but I only know of that part of its past, I must find out the rest." Blake muttered
A knock on the door interrupted his thoughts, he heard it once more and yelled, "Enter,"
Maxine walks in with a bag of money in her hand, and Blake sees her covered in badges with dried blood on the bandage. She looked over at him before pointing her finger at him. There were people from behind her carrying the other bags of money to Blake, placing them in front of his feet. Blake glanced over at Maxine, who placed her bag in front of him,
"You were able to get most of it," Blake said
"Yes boss," Maxine answered
Blake got the bag Maxine placed down and opened it, finding the money as he left it. he smiled at placed it down looking at Maxine,
"What happened to you?"
"We went to the site and one of your clones was there defending the forest," Maxine answered
"A clone? I thought they all died off," Blake muttered,
"Not this one… it's stubborn, to say the least," Maxien said
"Is it stronger than the other ones we made?" Blake inquired
"Yes he is, he has more characteristics of Avalon than you, boss, but he waiting for her in the forest," Maxien said
"Why is he waiting for her?" He asked
"For that, I'm not sure boss, but he will protect that forest until she sees him," Maxine answered
The shadow flew into the room alright to Blake twirling around him, the shadow laughed happily as it felt Blake's energy again, it went to his shoulder and said,
"Master this should be sufficient for the rebuild,"
"Yes that it should," Blake mumbled
"Marcello are you sure this is the place, or did you get lost again,"
Avalon is sitting in the passenger seat watching Marcello check the map on his phone, He huffs seeing that he is going on the right path, he then glances at Avalon,
"Yeah, I think we are on the right path now," Marcello answered
Avalon hummed looking out at the widow reminiscing on her past endeavors in this forest, the drive to her house with Jane, or going with Liz on a mission, Marcello saw a small smile on her face... he felt his heartburn. He turned back to the road, finding a pathway to the house that Salvatore sent for, He turned the car driving on the path,
"Avalon where near the house," Marcello said
They both saw the house come into view with the car still there waiting to be removed. Marcello stopped the car in front of the house, Marcello got out of the with her, Avalon looked up at the house and looked over at the window where she saw the clone, she saw a shadow there in the window with glowing green eyes staring at her.
"Mar," Avalon warned
Avalon glanced over at Marcello pointed at the window and explained, "The window is..."
Marcello looked at the window finding no one. he looked over at Avalon with a serious stare,
"It must still be here. be on guard," Marcello said
He went to Avalon and stood next to her bringing one of his pistols from his holder, He looked over at Avalon and saw that she was walking to the front door, Avalon felt her dagger appear on her tight as she grabbed the doorknob, Avalon glanced over at Marcello before opening the door,
"He left it open?" Marcello questioned
Avalon looked in the house finding it being on its last leg. the wall had deep cuts into it while the old fuernethur was torn apart. what was left of the floor tiles were gone, Avalon walked through the door with Marcello behind her, Avalon saw that there was stair and looked over at Marcello,
"I go upstairs you go downstairs?" Avalon asked
"We go together Avalon," Marcello sternly put it,
"Fine, upstairs it is,"
