"A darkness?"
Avalon shakes her head having been through weirder things than this, but the woman in front of her coming out of her dagger made her have a headache. The woman saw this and placed her on Avalon's head. Avalon felt heat move down her head to her neck and the woman moved her hand away,
"Yes, a darkness,"
She moved next to the king, sitting next to him. the king looked at the angel with a bright smile before she sat next to him,
"And here I thought I was alone," He uttered
"You were never alone, Antony," She told him,
He huffed hearing her say his name in front of Avalon, the woman chuckled before her smile was replaced by a stern stare at Avalon,
"To answer your question, Avalon. There is a darkness in this world, whether it be in wars, scheming behind people's backs, or,"
She took hold of the dagger, watching it shine, before she held the weapon out for Avalon, She looked at it having a comfort wash over her as she took the dagger,
"Mafia's"
Avalon stared back at the woman,
"I knew that it wouldn't hide for long, and it seems that I was right. Avalon,"
Avalon had a feeling she had already seen it,
"The darkness is in the shadows waiting to strike. When good is weak and now I believe that it will strike soon," The woman told her,
"You side it in the Mafia right," Avalon asked
The woman nodded while Antony listened to the waiting to intervene if needed,
"Yes," The woman answered
"Then I have already fought it," Avalon said
"You mean Blake," Antony said
Avalon looked over at him, she felt her eyes becoming heaving until a flash of her fight with Blake went through her mind,
"Yes... I don't believe it will be the last time I fight him… he has gotten stronger than last time and that worries me."
"And why would that be?" The woman inquired
"Did you say that good is weak?" Avalon asked
She took a moment before answering, "Yes, I did. Do you think you're a part of the good in this world,"
"After what I have been taught and what I have done... I hope so,"
Antony found that odd.
"Hope so?" He thought
"Why have self-doubt?" Antony asked
"I wouldn't call it that. I would say being optimistic,"
A bright glow came from the woman beside him, now she had their attention she smiled at Avalon,
"You will wake up soon and for that, we will meet again,"
Avalon's vision starts to turn white with the woman's voice speaking to her,
"The dagger will stay with you, Avalon,"
Avalon opened her eyes, looking up at the ceiling, the room was quiet only air-conditioning could be heard, Avalon felt a weight on her chest having to be in the middle of this unusual fight... warned her. She moved to her side with her hand under her head,
She watched the stars in the sky with the moon now on her, a blood moon.
Furthermore, she falls back to sleep, not hearing the door open to her room.
"How did he come back,"
The Shadow went back to Blake having inner turmoil within it.
"I'm not sure, but he is helping her,"
They went around the trees past the creatures wandering around the wood, the shadow felt his fog burn with anguish as the other part of him simmered with it.
"I thought he was dead in that forsaken place I left him!"
The shadow felt a force from beside him,
"Shadow,"
"Are you still for Blake or are you with me?"
The shadow was never with the other it used... however, he knew since he was young. Even though Blake tried to get rid of him, it stood next to him in deep turmoil in that it wasn't sure it could get rid of the old.
"I haven't had a deep connection to the people I control,"
It flew over the bits of trees with deep thought the old puppet spoke to it with strife and detest.
"You shouldn't have the emotions. You are the darkness, you feel nothing," He told the shadow.
The castle was near Blake sensing them coming the shadow showed the old away,
"I must talk with you later,"
"No, you won't... I was the last one to use you, having my life turned away from me because of it,"
It was at the castle,
"Then you will do well to deal with it," It hissed
It entered the castle, hearing Blake's voice bump off the wall,
"That where you hid them?"
"Yep all the information, money. Blackmail,"
The shadow traveled up the stairs while the continued to talk,
"Where will you find new bodies, Maxine?"
"Whenever you want them boss,"
The shadow was at the door and opened it, Blake glanced over at the shadow having a small fake smile on his face greeting the shadow,
"Shadow? That took you longer than it should,"
"They were some difficulties, master,"
The shadow went to Blake wrapping around his shoulder, Maxine watched glaring at the shadow while Blake looked at Maxine,
"I want them here before tomorrow night with them taking the money and bringing it here," Blake said
"That could be done, boss," Maxine told him,
"I don't want could Maxine," Blake said
He glared over at her,
"I covered that money for a reason they might have what was out in the open but they didn't get the stash from the old heads," Blake seethed
"It will get their boss, I will need to talk with them first, they destroyed most of it. I and Martha have just started to rebuild," Maxine said
"You have done that?"
"Only a month. The other time we attempted, they buried our attempts," Maxine seethed
"My command doesn't change, Maxine," Blake spoke
Maxine huffed knowing she would be up alight with this, however, she would rather do it and not have Blake's wrath on her,
"Yes, boss,"
"Then go, I won't be patient for long,"
He waved her away leaving Maxine to walk past him to the door, closing it behind her, the shadow scoffed inwardly only for Blake to ask,
"What are you planning, shadow?"
"Nothing master, I was just… making a line in the sand just like you told me to do,"
Blake hummed, having been talking with Maxine and how she felt about him, he could see why she was skeptical. But for him, it was only a matter of time before he returned the favor that he gave the shadow,
"If that is so shadow, then what did you do to them?"
"I tried to attack Marcello,"
Blake seethed inwardly having to remember that man... he knew something had happened with him and his light. Having someone he despises fawning over what he wanted. Burned him.
"However, he had a crystal, I was stunned that it affected me,"
Blake was skeptical of this, hearing that it was hurt by the crystal wasn't new, but it should have been stronger than the crystal.
"Why would it affect you? haven't I helped you enough, my shadow?" Blake questioned
"No, my master, I didn't mean anything by it,"
"If that so. Do, then tell me why the crystal affected you,"
"I. I can't," It muttered
Blake heard its answer and was angered, the shadow could sense that Blake was angered by its response, but it had no choice. The past puppet was fighting it to the point of ripping it apart in front of its master,
"I will tell you this once you pass puppet. I will not have you tearing me apart in front of my master,"
A man appears in the shadow, having been locked in there for decades and now having been woken up by Blake's death,
"No, I have been in your control for too long, death,"
He was free from the chains that it put him under now no longer restrained he raised his hand at the shadow demanding,
"I want to free from this right now shadow and then kill off the new master,"
Silence filled the shadow Peter looked around himself concerned until new chains were put on Peter, he tried to pull at them, but they pulled him back causing him to fall onto his knees.
"You forgot who made you powerful in the first place, Peter," It hissed
Peter started to be pulled deeper into the shadow, having it watch him struggle, Peter seethed under the restraints, knowing how hard it was the first time getting them off.
"I will get out of here dead and when I do,"
The shadow only saw his face as he snarled at it,
"I will take what you have taken from me,"
He disappeared into the shadow while the shadow dealt with Peter, Blake watched the shadow twist and turn before a voice came from it,
"Death and when I do,"
The voice went away, Blake stared at the shadow in bewilderment while thinking,
"Why was there"
The shadow has turned to him having been finished with Peter,
"Is something the matter, master?" The shadow asked
Blake had stood there in deep thought wondering if to ask it, but he remembered the warning his mother gave him, don't trust it. This hasn't happened before.
"I have been talking with your shadow, and yet I got nothing in response," Blake said
"I'm sorry master, I was still having the effects of the crystal,"
It crawled up to Blake looping around his arm, the shadow giggled being back by Blake's side and Blake watched it form back to him,
"I didn't think you would miss me that much?" Blake said
The shadow sighed while Blake went back into his chair, having multiple thoughts running through his mind once more.
"Why would he be acting like this unless something had happened with Marcello… maybe that woman could help me figure out my shadow,"
He glanced over at the piece of wood,
"Then maybe I can take back what is rightfully mine,"
