Chapter 1 - The Billion Words World Book.

Eons ago, there was a civilization that accomplished as none did before.

The everything was at their grasp, The Humans!

The legend says they were gods among every other living being, completely powerful and with limitless potential, and exactly this was what made the everything fall apart.

Masters of technology, humans created machines that in return created even more possibilities for them to develop and grow.

Millions of conflicts draw advances in technology back uncountable times.

Humans blinded by their achievements toyed with The Natural Laws and broke the universe apart.

Killing themselves in the process...

As natural laws were abolished new unlawful things were born, and thus the last and best human creation came to existence...

Or maybe this wasn't the end yet?

~~~
Nick, a kid from who knows where in who knows which planet found himself in the ground, bleeding from his nose and mouth, as the responsible left him to die alone like a dog...
He slowly closed his eyes accepting his fate.
Darkness swallowed his mind as his brain rapidly tested any hypothetic result without avail, his brain slowly turned off as with his last breath battled for staying in and staying alive.
"Wa... wake up..."
a hoarse voice echoed in his mind as his eyelids twitched.
"Am I dead?" Nick said out of breath...
"Depends on your definition of death, but technically yes..."
That weird voice responded
"Then what's the point of this?"
"Don't you want... revenge? Vengeance? Control your destiny? "
Nick grew startled as the voice told him something really appealing
"What's the catch?"
The formless voice grinned, it wasn't visible since it lacked a physical body but it gave Nick goosebumps.
"Hear me kiddo, you lack what makes the world go around... Power!"
"I'm here to bring it to you, but it ain't free, you will need to learn how to use it by yourself because that's the only way it will be truly yours..."
"I'm what it's left from the true rulers of this universe, a race that lacked any kind of possibility and pushed the sky up by themselves... I can see your expression, that's right... Humans."
Nick looked puzzled to the void and found nothing, he was almost laughing since he couldn't believe that this all-powerful sounding voice got something wrong?
"Now all those Yumans forgot who was their creators..."
Nick erased that dumb look of his face as he felt he was slapped without mercy.
"Nick Mortiz, as the last real human alive in this universe, is your duty to keep the face of our race up, you may have stayed safe since Yumans and Humans are practically identical in looks, but the end of our legacy is near so I will bestow to you our race last cry for help and one of our greatest inventions in all time..."
As the voice faded out Nick slowly faded into the world again.
A sharp pain attacked his senses as he recovered conscience almost making himself want to fall asleep again, looking his hands seeing them bashed he stood up and searched for water.
after walking several hours at a slow pace he finally reached a small pond and submerged his hands in it...
The reassuring coldness made him smile a little and made him grateful for staying alive, he grabbed a bit of water with his hands and drank.
At that moment he could feel something in his head, as a ginormous amount of information invaded his mind and broke his senses...
[Water]
[Colorless, transparent, odorless liquid that forms the seas, lakes, rivers, and rain. The basis of the fluids of all known living organisms...]
Thousands of worlds defining and explaining water and its uses filled Nick's head as a book slowly formed in his consciousness with a title that could be read as...
The Billion Words World Book.
