Chapter 17 - Chapter 17

Hana takes Fran to a diner nearby so they can eat lunch. When they enter the ones already eating give them a quick stare which makes Hana feel uneasy but since she's with Fran this time she holds his hand to feel at ease Fran doesn't say anything he just gives her a smile as a way to show that it's alright. Soon enough a waiter comes and gives them a place to sit.

Hana: "Do you need any suggestions on what's good here? I've come here a few times before so I got an idea on what's good."

Fran: "Hmm I'm ok thanks for asking though I think I'll be getting the eggs and a baked potato how about you."

Hana: "I'll be getting the salad and baked potato. I end up gaining weight easily so I'll eat something light or I won't fit in the dress you bought for me anymore."

Fran: "Is that so."

After that the waiter takes their orders and they talk for a while and Hana is having a good time as they are having their conversation but Fran then gets curious as to why she moved here by herself and asks her.

Fran: "Hana I was wondering why you moved here by yourself. I've noticed that this town isn't that accepting of outsiders yet you still live here why's that."

Hana's smile quickly disappeared and she became silent.

Fran: "Was it perhaps a sensitive topic for you? If you don't want to tell me that's fine I don't want you to force yourself. It was my fault for being inconsiderate."

Hana: "Don't blame yourself, it's not your fault it's alright. I— " Do I tell him or do I just say it's not something I want to talk about but what if that makes it look like I'm hiding something and it makes him not trust me as much anymore. But he isn't that type of person though I'm sure he'll understand—. "I'll tell you I don't want to hide anything from you and I'm sure getting it off my chest and telling someone would give me some closure so I can move on."

In the end she gave in not wanting it to ruin their relationship even if it wasn't likely she was afraid of even the possibility of it happening. She was afraid she'd end up alone again.
