"That's right. You have done so much for us already. We're fine now," Nicole seconded.
"Thank you for the offer though. Very much appreciated," said Este with a full-blown smile. The only leeway is that it looked rather off-putting, showing her real feelings.
Rachel glanced at the three women who were outright declining her offer with a raised brow.
"Are you sure? You really don't want me to take you all back to the apartment?" She pressed further. "You three still live there, right?" She then added.
Her tone might have made it seem like she's asking them but in actuality, she was basically certain of their circumstances.
The three caught up with it. Noticed it. Thus why there was a short pause before one of them answered half-heartedly.
"...Yes, we do. And we're good… we're good…" Este answered while nodding, her smile lacking the luster it should have.
