Wynter blinked when she heard his assurance and searched Keith's eyes if what he said was true. She wanted to know if he is not lying and that her child really is okay. She wanted confirmation.
Keith looked at her tenderly, all the while caressing her face to calm her down, and Wynter found not a trace of deception hidden within the depths of his onyx eyes. It only mirrored her, her face, nothing else. Like she's the only one he could see at that moment.
Fresh tears welled and spilled off the sides of her temples as relief settled down. There's like a big weight that had been pulled off of her, putting her heart at ease. She felt light, liberated, and appeased.
Her baby is fine… He's still within her… Alive and well…
She didn't lose him... She didn't lose both of them… They are both here with her…
