There was a noticeable pause on the other line, seemingly surprised upon hearing my voice. The breath of anticipation I was holding in came out shaky, showing just how nervous I really was.
"Wynter…" Keith murmured through the phone.
Just from that word alone, just from the sound of my name uttered by his lips, just from hearing his honey-like voice, my eyes welled up with tears.
'Oh, God. I missed him… I missed him so much.'
"Are you alright?" He asked after I didn't answer right away, worry in his tone.
I couldn't open my mouth to answer because my throat was clogged with so much emotion, that I was so afraid I would immediately burst out into a sob if I did speak. That is why I covered my mouth, as to not let a single cry out, or tried to. And also because I don't want to pathetically bawl out of the blue and alarm him more.
If anything, he would surely do something impulsive again if he heard me. Better not do that.
