Chapter 36 - 19 September 2020

Today was super busy, I came in with no cakes topped up and had to run downstairs the moment I entered work. I can't blame the opening team, Ver didn't know that the floor staff had to take the cakes in the morning now.

Yon told me Nas broke the hot water pot. He said it was just jammed. Uhh, not gonna take sides but it was quite easy to jam anyways. Nas was angry, no surprise, at the company. They owed hin hours but now he owes them hours. Same crap that I had to deal with.

My answer, submit a resignation and find a new job. because I don't have the mental power to deal with your incompetence of not being able to do my schedule as promised in my contract. OT is OT, pay up via that, I don't care about owing hours or they owe me.

Lunch was three giant drumsticks. I talked to Ver about random personal stuff and work life. She told me about her crap work experience in KOI. She worked for two days and got a hygiene certificate for free.

Nas confined to me that when I was having issues, he tried his best to stick by my side as Ash did. But in a different manner like not throwing his anger at me and being more patient towards me. Ash took care of me by trying to help me find a good place to rent and guided me through.

But Nas was there as a silent partner, constantly trying to give me extra drinks, my rootbeers and just listening in. He mentioned that he knew the feeling of being lost.

Someone managed to forget their MacBook. This feat made Leo very impressed; how can you forget such a giant of a device? The confused manager looks at me for confirmation. I just shook my head.

During dinner service, table 212 saw me being stressed and attending to their needs most of the time. The Indian lady addressed me by my name and quickly handed me a $10 note so that the rest couldn't see. I was so happy. Recharged me by a few hours. So, shout out to her.

In the evening, I messed up and got reprimanded by Leo. I wasn't upset, just tired, and in pain since my foot kept cramping up. Time for a gallon of water, as Gab would suggest. Leo called Pau a 'lazy bug' in Chinese since did not have the habit of clearing table tables. I laughed.

Hen said the Double Blackout cake was not sold out yet but I begged to differ. Please, I've checked the cakes since morning. Your order invoices are there for me to check, so you best not piss me off on this mundane problem.

When he tried to prove me wrong, he could only come back with more brownies, which I had a stockpile in my fridge. The innocent smile that he gave when I confronted him about it caused Leo to burst out in laughter.

Ver returned with the customer's cake. The extra thing on it was a little snail that was on a leaf. Pri made Sticky Date but used the Earl Grey sauce instead. He managed to burn it too. I had to stay until 2230. But it's okay, I got pork sausages anyways.

GG,
