Chapter 44 - 27 September 2020

Man, today was the best way to end off a long working streak. Okay, I'll start at the top. Got to wake up late today, starting at 3 pm. Apparently, I forgot to off the aircon, but it showed off. Thank god my landlord wasn't too upset.

Next, arrived at work. It was so crowded to the point that I couldn't even enter. Luckily, the security officer allowed me to pass through since I am going to work. Hell, I got my uniform on. Des complained that it was really too busy.

When I arrived at the outlet, Pau asked me if I'd played Mobile Legends. That reminds of the time when my ex messaged a picture of his loss in ML, with the caption saying; I swear I will nuke indonesia.

But anyways, I replied yes to Pau. He told me that his son was so angry because he got disconnected from the Wifi during a match in Mobile Legends. In the end, his son smashed the phone so bad that it was beyond repair.

Well, the boy is addicted. I hope my brother doesn't end up like that. I received a message from my brother, complaining that school is so stressful, just because they don't let him play computer games. He's 9. I fear for the next generation.

Back to work, I came in with everything as a mess. And later on found out, Yon screamed at Nas for some problem. Haven't found that out yet. Nas wanted to scold me for not sending out the drinks but he saw that I was busy and was slightly lenient in his reprimanding.

Today I couldn't take the staff meal. As what Gan would say; What's new? Then, for some cursed reason, I have a problem with lighters today. More specifically, the lighter not lighting up. Leo say go caveman, use stone.

After my break, I grabbed the sticky date pudding as my lunch. It had collapsed and I couldn't serve it. Hen then asked Des to cook me fried eggs. It was nice. Nas told me about today's problem. He was saying that if he keeps quiet, they are going to be angry.

If he says something, they would be angry as well. I shook my head and just sighed. That's how the place works. The only reason why they are angry when you are quiet is that you start throwing a tantrum. When Pri came to confront, I just stood away from them.

The incident yesterday was that Nas wanted to go home by 4 pm. He then asked Pau if he could cover him until Pri was done with his administrative duties. Pau said he couldn't. Then Nas snapped and asked Pau to get out of the bar if he wasn't going to help.

Today's dinner was so bad, I got slammed again, weird for a Sunday. It was so bad since Mee, being the incompetent human that she is, kept taking orders but not giving settings. The new girl was also making quite a few mistakes but I can't be angry at her for that.

Combine the two problems together and you get a very tired runner. Leo eventually saw me sinking and rushed in to help and remedy the situation. Somehow, at the end, everyone simultaneously went home.

The storeroom had an oil spill so I had a mini skating rink. Closing was great with me grabbing a can of coke, pancakes, and maple syrup. Pri, Leo, and I then went to the smoking area to drink and smoke. But I just went there to chat with them.

We talked about the Singapore government, then I told them I wanted to go to New Zealand. Leo then told me all about going to Australia to stay. How the culture works over there, how laidback the people are. She said to get a working holiday visa/ pass and try out.

One week of working can land you about 2500 dollars. With rent being only 400 per two weeks, I'm set to go. And I've got working experience.

I'm still young so she wanted me to explore. After much talking about Malaysia and Aussie stuff, we switched to roasting Pri about his ego and his pride. About how he was wasting money on going to the gym.

My god, I laughed so hard when Leo roasted Pri to the point of no return. We stayed out until 1 am.

Nights,
