Chapter 120 - It's Okay

"Indrajit was dead," Maira revealed.

Shivraj furrowed his brow, he felt bad for making his daughters hands dirty by doing all these deeds. As a royal family they have to get used to this but he wants to raise them away from all these.

But fate has other plans. Shivraj only needs to accept the truth and move on. He knows he didn't become a good king but at least he wants to become a good father.

But it seems he doesn't have that choice too. At least from now on he wants to do something for his daughters.

Maira looked at shivraj who was in deep thoughts. She thought he would feel happy after knowing this news. But it seems he is thinking about another thing.

"Father, don't blame yourself" Maira's voice brings shivraj out from his thoughts.

Shivraj looked at maira with surprise.

Maira smiled and said "Don't blame yourself for things which are already over. I know you did your best in that war. I understand something terrible is happened there, but you are the best king and best father too"

Shivraj's eyes turned red after listening to maira words. He never said any word out about how he feel to aaradhya also. He doesn't want to worry her more than she is going through now.

But he also needs some comfort and now his daughter understands him well and comforts him. Maira came towards him and hugged him.

"It's okay father. You can cry" Maira said and shivraj bawled like a child.

'How long has it been since I endured this pain? How long have I blamed myself for being in competent?'

All those questions and doubts are washing away along with his tears. From his birth he was trained to become stronger and hide his pain well.

He did his best to excel in everything and he crossed every obstacle to reach this place. After enduring the pains, hurts, insults, self loathing's he is still trying to become a better person.

But at the end of the day he is a human with emotions and feelings. He needs someone to lean on and say it's ok.

Shivraj's heart felt light after crying for quite some time. Maira passed the water to shivraj and he gulped the water in one go.

"It is embarrassing," Shivraj said while placing the glass down.

"No father," Maira said with a smile.

"Okay, what is the progress on the task for farmers?" Shivraj changed the subject.

"Yes, I formed a group with the young people in the towns and informed them about the things I want to do."

"They are very enthusiastic and do the work effortlessly. Soon we will get good results" Maira informed.

Shivraj felt happy for her thoughts and the way she is looking after the people. He felt proud in his heart.

Just like that the father and daughter forgot about Indrajit matters and moved to the kingdom affairs.

Shanka and his disciples entered the palace within a day for the second time. Shanka knows that his method worked and felt elated.

"Greetings to the General Kala" Shanka and his disciples greeted Kala who was sitting on the chair with his cold and stoic face.

Kala nodded his head and directed them to sit down. After settling down, Shanka started speaking.

"What is the purpose of this invitation General? Do I need to examine anyone?" Shanka asked.

Kala looked at him for quite sometime and replied "Yes"

Shanka was surprised by his straightforwardness, he thought he needed to go around to make him speak about the matter.

"Do we have the pleasure of knowing the person?" Shanka probed.

"I want you only to treat him and none of your disciples. Understand" Kala said and he spoke with authority.

Shanka thought for quite sometime and replied "If you want to keep that secret, I will oblige but I have a condition"

Kala smirked before asking "What is it?"

"I would require my disciples here to prepare the medicine, if the person's condition is serious or else if it is something simple then i won't trouble with this" Shanka stated his request.

Kala thought for sometime and replied "First, examine him, if you are capable of treating him then i will think about your condition. If not.."

Kala trails off leaving Shanka to give a warning that the consequences will not be good.

Kala already thought of this one, if these people are not able to cure his king then they won't leave the palace tonight alive. He also wants to know whether that old man's Taika words are true or not.

He said only he will cure his king but now he wants to test whether that is true or not.

With that thought in mind he took Shanka with him and his disciples were ordered to stay in the courtroom.

Meanwhile, Maira went to Ashmita's room to check about the progress after talking with his father. She felt happy after talking with her father.

When she enters the room, Abhi is preparing to treat Ashmita. Abhi saw maira and smiled before going to treat Ashmita.

He closed his eyes and placed his two fingers on Ashmita's head. A small white light engulfed from his hand.

After transferring his mana to Ashmita abhi retrieved his hand and went near maira who was looking at them for quite some time.

"How is it going?" Maira asked with concern.

"Don't worry, she will be alright," Abhi said with a smile.

Maira felt relieved and looked at Ashmita longingly. They met after a long struggle and again another one happened.

Maira is missing her a lot. Abhi patted her shoulder assuring her everything will be alright and both of them turned around to leave.

*Cough Cough*

Abhi, Maira startled by the sudden voice. They turned around slowly and their eyes widened with shock.

"Ash.. Ashmita" Maira's voice shook and tears welled up in her eyes.
