Raghu and Raji stood there without saying anything. They don't have words to describe their feelings.
Maira always made sure to let them understand how much they mean to her. Even after coming back to her parents and getting her royal status back, she never chose to treat them any differently than before.
Raghu and Raji, despite having their love for her, as their own daughter, kept distancing themselves from Maira. Since the war, they had a constant fear in their hearts about treating Maira like they used to, before.
Maira feels awful when she sees her beloved people who raised and pampered her from childhood, standing aside like servants.
"Maira. Sorry, dear. From now on we will always stand by you, always be with you. This is my duty to protect you. Let me assure you, we will look after you like we always did," Raghu promised.
Maira felt happy and nodded her head.
"Dada. Where is Abhi? I want to meet him now. Please Take me there," Maira asked.
"Dear, you just woke up and your condition is not good. How will you go and meet him? Take rest for today Maira." Raji said worriedly.
"No ma. I am perfectly fine. Please let me go" Maira said.
"Ok, dear. But Abhi's condition is not good. He needs to take more rest. He just took medicines and informed the servants not to disturb him until he called. And Abhi also won't feel happy seeing you in this condition. So for now take a rest. I will come and take you to Abhi" Raghu explained.
Maira thought for some time and sighed.
"Ok dada. Please take me to him when he wakes up" Maira said.
"Sure, dear. Now take rest and get well soon" Raghu stated.
Maira nodded and slept on the bed. Her body wasn't tired but her brain was tired from all the thinking. In no time she fell into deep sleep as the couple left.
Outside the room, Raji held Raghu's hand and stopped him.
"Raghu, I know you understand the situation well. He is important to her so we need to protect Maira with all we have" Raji said seriously.
"I understand Raji. We need to talk about this with the Queen. I guess you are also thinking the same as me" Raghu inquired.
"What do you think?" Raji asked with a smirk.
'Gosh. Who said my wife is sweet and innocent. She is not only sweet and innocent but also a Devil' Raghu thought to himself and both of them went to the Queen's chamber.
Meanwhile, in Aaradhya's chamber, the Queen sat on the bed with a worried expression. She is accompanied by Shivraj who's sitting next to her.
"Shiv. What should we do? Our Maira doesn't love us. She is more attached to my servants than me. I don't know what to feel about this situation but I am feeling jealous of them and I am losing my rationality," Aaradhya said sadly.
"Aari, I know how you are feeling about the whole situation. Even though I am feeling the same, we can't do anything about this. We need to think from Maira's perspective. She is just a child and most importantly she grew up with them so she is more attached to them than us" Shivraj tried to explain to Aari and to himself.
They both feel anxious about Maira every time she is near Raghu and Raji. They want Maira to show that kind of love to them but how hard they tried, they couldn't replace their servants in her heart.
This frustrated them to the point where they wanted to do something to break their bond. But their rationality, their education, and their status stopped them from doing this.
"I know Shiv. I know that, but now we came into her life right. We had to leave her because of her own safety and she needs to love us more. I guess those servants of mine will change Maira's minds."
"Yes, they may have changed Maira's mind. Shiv, do something please, I don't know how long I can go further without her loving me more" Aaradhya started crying.
Shivraj went towards Aaradhya and hugged her tightly and consoled her. It breaks his heart when he sees tears in her eyes.
'I will do everything that's even beyond my power to make you happy Aaradhya.' Shivraj promised himself.
Raghu and Raji came to the Queen's chamber and the guards stopped them from entering.
"What makes you stop us? Are you tired of your lives?" Raghu asked coldly which sent shivers to their spine.
"I apologize, master. It's his Majesty's orders. He ordered us to not let anyone in." one guard replied politely.
"His Majesty is here?" Raghu asked.
"Yes, master. He is inside" Guard answered politely.
Raghu and Raji looked at each other and left the place. It seems this is not the right time to discuss this topic with them. The couple left the place in tow.
Meanwhile, in Abhi's room, Abhi woke up and looked outside his windows and it was already dark outside.
Abhi sighed and closed his eyes. He pinched the space between his brows as his head was aching like hell. He asked for medicine and some food for the night.
After he had the food and medicine the servants brought, they cleaned the place up and left the room. Abhi then went near a window and as a cool breeze blew on his head making his hair flutter, his head felt light.
