Chapter 29 - Dead???

Elsa led Aaradhya towards a secret passage. Oak with his tiny yet fast footsteps, followed them behind. He had so many questions in his head for which he may never know the answers in his life.

"Aaradhya.. From here on, you can just go where this passage leads you to. I assure you that no one will be following you while you escape. My husband made an awful mistake and I want to apologise to you for what he did. As remorseful I am feeling right now, I want to give you something that's a lot precious to me.. please don't reject it", Elsa said when they reached the secret passage.

"Thanks for your help Elsa and whatever all I told you, was not to make you feel bad for nothing you did. So there's no need for you to be sorry and certainly no need to offer me something that's important to you," Aaradhya talked her heart out. 'I don't know whether what I did was right or wrong but she surely has the right to know the truth. God! Please give her strength to endure what she's about to go through,' Aaradhya prayed in her mind.

Elsa took out the pendant that beautifully adorned her neck and came close to Aaradhya. She placed it in Aaradhya's hands and said slowly, "I sincerely want to give this so that it keeps you safe from any evil clutches and protects your baby. So please accept it as a blessing from me to your children."

Aardhya didn't know what to say but before she said anything, Oak shouted to Elsa, "Elsa! What are you thinking at all? How can you give away your blessing to somebody you barely know??"

"Father.. Please let me do what i want. Trust me, I am very sure of what I am doing", Elsa calmly replied to Oak.

"Remember Aaradhya, this is the dearest pendant for me and its power is marvellous. So don't use this recklessly. It gives you the power to summon all the elves around the world at a time and they will help you out in any kind of situation even if it means keeping their life on the line", Elsa explained the power of pendant seriously.

"But..", before Aaradhya said a word Elsa interrupted.

"It's time for you to leave and anytime soon, Surya will reach here. So to avoid complications, you should start going and don't worry at the end of this passage, your husband will be waiting for you", Elsa assured her. Elsa sent a secret message to Shivraj by her trustworthy elf.

Aaradhya hugged Elsa and left through the passage without saying any word. The passage door closed behind and Elsa sealed it with her power making it disappear from there.

Oak looked at Elsa worriedly and asked her, "Elsa what is this all about? Do you know what you are doing?"

"Yes Father!! Don't worry!!", Elsa said. She turned around to leave the place and went closer to Oak. Before she left she leaned towards Oak and said, "Father!! I don't know whether we'll get a chance to speak again or not. So, I want to tell you that knowingly or unknowingly I've made a few mistakes because of which we're in this situation right now. It's the truth. But father, I want you to know that I truly love you and if I get a chance to be your daughter in my next birth, I will make sure not to make these mistakes again and will keep you happy and at peace always", Elsa eyes teared up. "Father please take care of yourself and be careful about Surya. If possible, leave this kingdom", Elsa said seriously.

"Elsa, what are you talking about? What happened?" Oak asked as if he didn't understand anything his daughter was saying and also why she was saying those words like it is the last time they're meeting each other.

Elsa didn't reply. She just walked away leaving Oak all to himself.

Surya came to the palace after getting the news that something happened in the palace. He directly went to the room where he kept Aaradhya only to find it empty. He enquired the guards about this but they didn't remember anything except one guard informed him that he last saw Elsa come towards the room.

Surya understood the situation and his face turned dark red as he began walking towards Elsa's room. The aura around him became cold and dark and he opened the room with a bang. He went to Elsa and held her hand, making her stand.

"Why did you do this?" Surya asked with fuming anger.

Elsa camly looked at Surya but when she saw into his eyes a shiver went through his spine. Those eyes don't have any warmth nor weakness, they are full of bloodlust.

"Because she deserves to be free and take your hand off me right now", Elsa said firmly.

Surya, taken aback by a sudden change of her tone, releases her. Elsa steps back by creating some distance between them.

"Surya.. I know what you did to her and I know why you married me", Elsa camly said but her eyes were full of pain.

"Listen to me carefully, my love. I am telling you.. You will never get what you seek for and trust me this last time", Elsa said by looking directly into his eyes.

"HAHAHAHA.. So you know..!! Alright.. then be clear. What makes you think you can stop me?", Surya laughed with a devilish grin on his face.

Elsa kept silent and continued to stare at him.

"Fine. Let it be, do whatever you can but i'm telling you.. don't blame me for being rough" Surya warned.

Surya left the room after saying that. Elsa sat on the bed by holding her stomach. Her breathing hitched and the next moment her water broke. She screamed with pain and guards sent for the doctor.

Everything went fastly and since doctor elf was not available in the palace, another doctor checked on her. Surya got the news and waited for the birth of the child.

After a long time, the doctor came out and went to the king Surya to inform the birth of the child.

"Your Majesty!!" The doctor bowed in front of Surya.

"Tell me. Boy or a Girl?" Surya asked emotionlessly. He didn't bother to check about Elsa.

"That majesty.. It was a boy,"the Doctor explained.

"Was? What do you mean,'Was'?" Surya asked by clenching his fists.

"Yes majesty. The child is dead even before he's born and if you want, I can arrange to bring the body here", Doctor asked hesitatingly.

Surya kept silent for sometime and said, "No. No need. Just discard the child", Doctor nodded and left.

'Looks like she is not even capable of giving birth. Such a waste', Surya thought to himself.

Tears ran in everyone's eyes in that room, after listening to everything he said. Oak sits silently on the bed and a stream of tears kept falling from his eyes.

"Oak is that true? Did the child...?" Maira asked hesitatingly.

Oak just nodded his head and said, "I went to Elsa and consoled her. Since that day Elsa was kept in prison for her accused crime and none of us were allowed to visit her".

Everyone in the room fell into deep thinking and suddenly Oak fell on the bed with a thud. Yashoda checked on him and informed them that he just ran out of his energy and fell unconscious and that he will be fine after taking some rest.

Everyone silently left the room and left Oak to take rest. Ashmita and Maira looked at each other and went to their rooms.

The sun is setting in the horizon spreading orange colour all over the evening sky. Birds are returning to their homes. Trees just seized to move. Sitting on top of the castle's peak, as the infant winds coming from faraway lands kept playing with Ashmita's flicks hanging onto her face, she started gazing at the sun afar.

"Don't keep looking at him like that. If he doesn't want to set down tonight, I will have another rival to fight", she heard a voice from behind her.
