Hey guys so this is the last chapter, hope you enjoy it
* Two months later
We were at the apartment, dad was baking a cake for a birthday girl down the hall, and I was doing a survey, I had filled out many forms and been to many job interviews, but I still hadn't found a job and I was quickly losing hope, we hardly had any money to eat and we couldn't even pay rent, the landlord was, thankfully, very understanding and he helped us get word out of dad's baking skills, getting him more orders, it wasn't much but every bit helped.
There was a knock on the door and dad shouted he would get it, he answered the door,
"Derrik?" He questioned I put the laptop down and turned to see an apologetic looking Derrik I raised an eyebrow as he scratched the back of his head, I was about to ask him what the matter was, but I didn't need to as I saw Kim and Andrew behind him I was horrified, our apartment was the size of her kitchen, but Kim just squealed when she saw me and hugged me tightly, Andrew joined in as well.
After greetings we sat down with mugs of tea we were laughing and joking then Andrew spoke up
"Wait, wait, wait, I have a joke, a really funny joke" we listened as he sobered up "So someone in this room, thought I kidnapped my sister, and held her captive against her will, in a shelter I never even knew about" he spoke quickly whilst laughing
"I'm so sorry about that" I said sheepishly, I was just amazed that Kim told him, about that
"Nah, it's cool" Andrew assured "I'm just joking with you" I smiled brightly "I forgave you because you found my sister" he finished as he hugged Kim sideways, she had a smile on her face.
Kim asked me how my job hunting was going, to which I explained I was still looking
"Oh thank god" Kim said hand on chest, she was happy I hadn't found a job? but before I could ask why that was good news she went on to explain " I have a proposition for you, how would you like to come and work with me?" She explained how she had time to think down in the shelter and had decided she didn't want to sell the house but turn it into a b&b and we could be partners, of course that would mean I move to London, I proposed that dad could be in the partnership as well and he would be the chef, dad was a great cook.
Within a month we moved to London Kim had said we could live in the same rooms we had lived in previously but then that would mean having only five rooms to rent out so I suggested I would live in the living room, there was also another living room, adjoining the dining room and dad said he'd sleep there. So that meant there were now seven rooms to rent out. We now got a run down of what would happen, Kim explained that the shelter would be turned into another room to rent out and work was already being done, the stone walls had been painted, the bunk beds were gone, the stairs were gone instead there was now a door downstairs near the theatre room the wardrobe in Kim's room had completely been sealed so now it was just a wardrobe, it was kind of a loss to see it go, the next six months were spent cleaning, planning, and sorting.
We decided that each room would cost £50 per night for a single room and £75 per night for a double, breakfast was included in this price, if residents wanted lunch or dinner these could be ordered as if ordering in a restraunt, dad was given the job of writing up a list of dishes he could cook, then to write how much the ingredients for each dish would cost then the menus could be made, we still needed a name for our b&b, after much debate we came up with 'hideout b&b' as the house itself was pretty secluded and because Kim had 'hidden' out for three weeks, outside there was room for at least twenty cars, we bought white water proof spray paint to draw the parking bays outside, it helped that Andrew was a man of the law as he could tell us what was legal and what wasn't, if something was illegal we wouldn't do it, it took about a year to get up and running, as neither of us had any money so we couldn't really put our plan into action so we had to rent out rooms that weren't really furnished properly, we had to wait for money to spend the money, and for the first year any money we made went back into the hotel, so we kept no money, after the first year we were able to spend money on advertising but we mainly relyed on word of mouth.
All in all we're doing pretty well, I still helped the police whenever they needed me only I helped the police in London now not Manchester, it was good, life was good.
Hey guys, so that's the end, I hope you enjoyed this book, see you next time with another.
