Jaden's pov
I love this coffee.
Ivy had just made me a coffee with a heart art design. She knew exactly how I liked it. Thank God she was back. She had gone out of the hospital two weeks ago then, I gave her a week off the next week to get ready for work. My files were already on my desk before I came for work. Yes, she's very punctual, hard-working and...nice. I liked her. As my personal assistant, she always made sure my things were ready for the day's business and always scheduled my appointments. I don't regret employing her.
"Good morning sir" Ivy said as she entered my office.
"You have a meeting in five minutes sir" she added looking at me with the 'hurry-up-and-get-ready' eyes
"I almost forgot... are my files ready?" I asked pretending not to have seen them earlier.
"They're right in front of you sir" she replied pointing at them.
"Good...you can go now. I'd like to go through them first" I said, dismissing her.
"The usual" I said to the waiter standing in front of me. He gave me a nod and left. I had left the office immediately after the meeting. I picked up my phone from the table and texted Ivy telling her that I wasn't going back to the office and she could go to, if she wanted.
"Here's your coffee sir, enjoy" he said and left. The coffee was good but Ivy's was better.
I've worked with Ivy for seven years now. First, I had seen her as a normal employee but now I don't understand what I feel for her. She's nice, obedient, humble, hard-working... name it and she had a nice body too. She always puts up her hair in a tight ponytail. I wonder how she manages that tight skin-peeling hair style. I've always wanted to tell her to leave it flowing because I liked it that way, but no...I won't.
Noticing that I had finished my coffee, I placed a ten dollar bill on the table and left.
Ivy's pov
"Ahhh" I let out a sigh of relief when I plopped down on my couch. I felt like sleeping away but no, my stomach needed a little bit of my attention.
I made my way to the kitchen and quickly made myself a pancake and a cup of coffee.
Yeah, sue me ...I love coffee.
I ate my meal silently and then looked at my wrist watch. It was still two in the afternoon, so I still had enough time to go to the grocery store.
I went to my bathroom and took a cold shower then, changed to a pink blouse and blue jeans. I let my hair down from its ponytail style and applied a little makeup, then left my apartment. The grocery store wasn't far, so I decided to walk.
"Ivy?" I turned around to see who had just called me.
"Dr. Bryan!" I almost shouted with excitement and went into his outstretched arms for a hug.
"Call me Bryan. How're you doing?"he asked with a smile plastered on his face. His blue eyes sparkle with happiness and his hair looked like he ran his fingers throw it. He was wearing a blue polo and faded jeans.
"I'm good and I'm so happy to see you" I said grinning from ear to ear like a high school teenager.
"Me too. Are you done shopping? We could go grab a coffee" he said
"I'd love to, but I really need to get going ...maybe some other time." I replied
"No problem, can I have your number?" He asked holding out his phone. I took it and saved my number in it with my full name and gave it back to him. He looked at it and smiled .
"Thanks..I'll call you" he said with a nod. I gave him a smile and waved him bye.
I entered my apartment and put out the groceries before making dinner. I liked having my dinner early. I settled down on my couch after eating to watch a movie or two. I decided to rewatch badboys 2. Will Smith is a total hot tie. I need to start going to the gym, I feel like I'm adding unnecessary weight. I felt my phone vibrate beside me. it was an unknown number.
"Hello"
" Ivy. It's Bryan"
" Oh. Hi"
" Yeah. So how're you doing?"
"I'm okay. Thanks for asking"
"So about that coffee..."
