Regardless of the incident that occur the previous day, Gracie went to the diner to work. While she was washing the dishes she got a glimpse of someone familiar from outside the building peeping through the transparent glass.
The small, fragile frame of the old woman was really familiar as she leaned against the glass, pressing her palm on it. Gracie could tell from the white hair and gray cardigan who it was. Her heart leapt in joy and dropped the chinaware in a slow-mo.
"Nana." She muttered.
Grandma Lily's eyes widened as she realized that she had been caught, she spaced back and vamoosed in the mist of the snow.
"Oh my!" she gasped and rubbed her wet soapy hands on her apron and she took a speed, leaving Mrs. Adams to her shout after her and Chloe shocked.
Gracie broke free to the street, looking for her Nana in the empty street covered with white smog that hid the secret of the street and night.
