Gracie cried.
She cried till she fell asleep in the library, forgetting her purpose for being there in the first place was to read for her tests that was coming up the next week. Majority of her teachers had demanded a test to replace the periods she missed for four weeks.
It wasn't until the dark, tall librarian knocked her table to wake her up. Her eyes were swollen when she woke up, a little dry drool at the tip of her mouth. The first thing that came out of her mouth was, "What's the time?" she pulled some strands of her bright hair from her mouth and spat the invisible.
Slowly, the librarian had to look at his wristwatch again to confirm the time, "3:10."
He angled his head up and gave Gracie a sicken look. She was no sleeping beauty, so the fact that she looked like a bird mess didn't add a drop of profit to another's issue.
