Chapter 11 - Walking in the clouds

"Yow! Chael!"

A tight arm enveloped his shoulders while he was walking in the hallways. Shaun appeared from behind him with his Nintendo. He's been playing in the classroom for almost half an hour because their professor was absent. He had just finished washing his face in the bathroom as he saw Liechael from the farthest classroom, which is the art room.

Liechael didn't mind the heavy arms holding onto him. Though he's in the right height for a 16-year-old boy, Shaun is taller than him. He didn't even spare the guy a glance, his eyes are still fixated on the registration form he's been holding.

Shaun wanted to brag about his new game, but after taking a glimpse into the registration form, he froze. "Wait, that's Alaena, right?" he said, leaning his head closer to the paper under Liechael's chest.

Hearing that the guy beside him seemed to have a little information about the girl, Liechael moved his hands and grip Shaun's collar. "Do you know her?" He's not aggressive at all. More like a startle expression.

It surprised Shaun, but he's used to Liechael being like this. There's this one time when he defeated Liechael in the game and got hit back with a notebook. Compared to it, this action was unbothered. Shaun backed his head away, because he's taller than him and he can almost feel his breath. "Chael, you are too close." Who would have thought that the most handsome student in the E University will blush in front of Liechael? As expected from the young master of the Ross Clan, a powerful charm.

Liechael let his collar go and went back to his slight gestures as he mumbled. "Sorry,"

Shaun scratched the back of his head. "Why are you asking me so suddenly about her? Did you also walk in the clouds today, just like our professor?" Because their professor wasn't around and sick, so he compared the lad to the man.

'So he already knew Alaena back then' This time, Liechael was referring to the 16-year-old Liechael. They walked in the hallways until they reached their classroom. Since they were classmates and in the same seats, he waited for Shaun to take the first move.

And, as expected, Shaun twirled his chair in front of Liechael's desk with a cunning grin. "Say Liechael, do you want to be kicked again?" he asked in a very emphasizing tone like it was a threat.

Liechael tilted his head on the other side, showing the question marks floating above his head. He repeated only one word. "Kicked?"

"Aishh!!!" Shaun blurted out after brushing his entire face down to his jaw. "You really are walking above the clouds, are you?" He leaned closer and whispered. "Alaena kicked you in the balls,"

The other guy jolted. Remaining on his composure. "Why did she kick me?" he asked.

THUD!!

Before Shaun could give his word, a stockpile of folders was thrown on the desk. He almost sprang up, scared to be hit by the thick documents. Both their eyes lifted and traced the slim hands from the folders up to its owner.

"Humph!" Lilith snorted. "You guys think you can slack off while your professor's not around," she said in a mighty voice. She looked at Liechael, "Since our student council president here is in the clouds, I, the vice president, will deliver the works to both of you," then she quickly divided their parts.

Shaun felt dried just by looking at the piles of folders. "Why are you giving me some?" He complained.

BOING!

A small ball of fist landed on his head. "You moron! We will never get anything from your handsome face!" she snorted, returning to her grumpy expression.

Shaun rubbed his head with one eye closed. He stopped halfway and scanned the girl next to Lilith. His eyes completely beamed, dashing to the girl while screaming. "My sweet Adiee!! You've finally come back to daddy Shaun!!" he rubbed his cheeks to the girl's face while smiling so brightly.

The girl named Adiee jolted and tried to yank away as her cheeks turned very red. She's here because she just helped Lilith to carry the documents. "M-Master S-Shaun, please don't s-say t-that…'' Her voice was small and high pitched.

Shaun let go and grasped her shoulders, then he tapped the girl's forehead. "How are you, my dear sweet Adiee?" He's checking on her because she's been absent for a few days because of a light fever.

Adie averted her gaze, "I-I'm fine, master Shaun" she said.

Her true name is Addison Miller. A typical small girl with thick glasses and braided dark brown hair. His father owned the coffee shop outside the school. She's calling Shaun 'master' because their parents are business partners. With the help of Shaun's family, their coffee shop got the opportunity to spread worldwide. She's 15 years old and very shy, it's very rare to hear her talk. She loves cute things.

Shaun was always complaining that her name was too long, so he made it ADIEE.

A glimpse of coldness escaped from the side of Lilith's eyes as she turned her head to Liechael. "I told you to visit the council office when you have free time," she opened the folder from the very top. "This is the application form from last year, as you can see... there are no changes," she rubbed her temples. "Gathering students for the art exhibit is quite hard,"

Liechael remained in his seat and read the papers thoroughly. "But Miss Carrein told me about this one student," he closed the folders and pushed it to make a small space. He rummaged through his bag and slipped out a brown folder. "This is her registration form,"

Lilith got intrigued, so she opened the brown folder and read it. She almost widened her eyes, but quickly returned to her grumpy expression. "Chael," she sighed, hopeless. "What can she do? We needed more students here,"

"It doesn't matter," Liechael cut the chase. "As long as you have someone supporting you wholeheartedly, millions aren't important," he said.
