"Young Master, please wake up..your father wanted to talk to you" The maid bowed her head. Contemplating whether to shake the guy on the bed or call his name for the 10th time. It was her duty to wake up the Young Master every day and now is not a normal one for her to let this slide. Her life was on the line today.
She leaned closer to the bed and said once more, "Young Master, please wake up" she made her voice louder, hoping that Railey will listen to her. Today was the weekend, and she knew that the guy would not buy the reason for waking him up for school. Though, the consequences waiting for the Young Master are much worse than being late on Monday.
The uneasiness on her face lightened up when the guy under the blanket finally moved. Railey, under it groaned when the light from the outside hit his face. It wasn't that hot because it was already afternoon.
Disheveled jet black hair, almost covering his forehead. Under those long lashes were jade brown eyes blinking with gentleness. He groaned, feeling his head turned light. He remembered that he went home late last night because his friends invited him to a karaoke. His thin lips twitched as he lifted his upper torso. The blanket then caressed down his stomach, revealing that he's only wearing boxers.
Railey brushed his hair up, annoyed. "What?" he snorted to the maid, who got stunned for a second upon seeing his woke up look.
The maid jolted from her stance and bowed her head. "Y-Young M-Master, y-your father…" she stammered. "The Chairman o-ordered me to tell you t-that he wanted to t-talk to you," she lowered her head and fidgeted with her fingers.
"Tch!" Railey clicked his tongue, and his gentle fresh eyes turned sharp. "Fine, I will go.." he snorted again, as if it's so hard to do what his old man wanted.
The maid became giddy in an instant while whispering to herself that she was finally saved. She told her Young Master that the food was already served downstairs. Railey agreed to her and ordered her to prepare his bath.
Beside the bed, his phone vibrated. He received a text message from one of his friends saying. 'My dad told me that your father visited the school today and I'm telling you dude, he's not pleased'
Railey's fox-like jade brown eyes became more sharp. He threw the phone on the edge and stood from the bed. He knew that this would happen. He's ready for any punishment, anyway. Railey opened his closet and grabbed something to wear.
Before exiting the room, he shot a quick glance at his window. The sun was indeed setting.

The maids and the butlers all lined up side by side. Everyone showed respect when they saw their Young Master going down on the stairs. Railey didn't mind them, so he walked to the dining room and took some bread. Biting the edge with his grumpy expression. He didn't mind sitting down, he would lose his appetite, anyway.
"Where's father?"
The butler near his table jolted. "He's in the office, Young Master"
Railey's thin lips twitched, putting back the bread on the plate. He turned on his heels and went to the said place. Heavy steps and a suffocating atmosphere behind him.
He didn't knock; he opened the door and as expected, a bottle of wine flew straight to his face. Railey dodged it, but the glass shattered on the wall hit his face, which sliced his cheeks a little.
"YOU SHAMELESS BASTARD!!!!" the roaring voice from the Chairman struck his soul. "I DIDN'T EVEN TOOK YOU IN TO BE LIKE THIS!" This time, he slammed the desk and all the paper flew.
For sure, his father will surely beat him again today. He's always at fault anyway. His old man was the owner of the largest real estate company in the city. Associated with his school, big connections. And based on his father's temper, he already finds out what he did at School.
Railey didn't speak. He remained silent. He had no time to deal with this man. Who cares if he's the bully or the bad kid? His father will never look at him anyway.
As expected, a punch landed on his face. He lifted his chin and met his old man's raging eyes. The chairman clenched Railey's face, "HOW DARE YOU DISOBEY ME!? I TOLD YOU TO MAKE FRIENDS WITH THE SAME LEVEL AS YOU!!! BULLYING A WORTHLESS KID WILL NOT DO YOU A FAVOR!!" He pushed Railey and gave him a kick. "DON'T GIVE ME REASONS TO THREW YOU BACK TO THAT ORPHANAGE!!"
Hearing the threat from his stepfather, Railey stopped. His hands tremble just from hearing that orphanage. He didn't want to go back there. Even if he suffers hell, he will stay here.
"DON'T ACT STUPID AND USE YOUR BRAIN!!" His step father roared. He turned his back and went back to his desk. He yelled at his subordinates, who's standing near the door, watching everything. He ordered them to clean the mess and kicked Railey out.
Before they could even touch him, Railey stood up. He brushed himself and wiped the blood from the corner of his lips. He still bowed his head before turning his heels towards the door.
Railey Evans from class 1-3.Adopted son of the Chairman holding the biggest real estate company in the City. Grew up in an orphanage. The only survivor of the earthquake that happened years ago. His parents died. Leaving him alone.
The chairman only got interested in him because he's a bright and intelligent child. Scared of dying alone, he pushed Railey to the brink. Honing the kid to be a perfect son and successor by not even validating his feelings. Selfish and dominant, Railey grew cold and distant.
Having everything right after losing his parents, Railey didn't have a choice but to obey. Scared of being forgotten, he did everything to get the Chairman's attention. However, even if he completed all the exams and scored higher than his classmates, his father never looked at him with warmth. It was always the eyes of satisfaction. The look of catching a perfect object.
Railey hated it.
