Chapter 25 - The young master needs...ME?!

"WHAT?!!!!"

Amy's jaw almost dropped when Justin told her about the registration form. He told Amy everything and how he and Shaun ended up going to the student council's office. The girl leaned closer to him and whispered, "Are you sure about that?"

Justin jolted from her breath. "Lower your voice," he replied. He looked from left to right and then back to Amy. "I did a favor to S-S-Shaun," he lowered his head as soon as he realized that he called the school prince by his name. It's not a big deal for Shaun, so he told Justin to call him by the name, but for Justin, an ordinary and powerless student, that thing is a bit overboard.

"That's it? Just because he helped you, you returned the favor by joining the art class?" Amy brushed her face. "Hopeless,"

Well, the truth is, it did not scare Justin since he knew that Alaena was also there. But the girl never mentioned this recruitment. Then he shrugged when he remembered that the young master of the Ross Family and Alaena had a small misunderstanding.

"Why are you guys so serious early in the morning?"

Alaena pulled the chair and sat down. She cupped her cheeks and smiled. "Why so secretive? You guys have something going on?"

"Ehh!!?? W-What are you talking about?! We were just talking about art class!!" Amy's voice became slower and she slowly sunken down again on her seat the moment she realized what she just said. She averted her gaze and looked at Justin with a 'Crap! I spilled it' expression.

Alaena tilted her head. "Art class? What's with the art class?"

"Justin joined the art class," Amy exclaimed to her.

Alaena parted her chin from his hands. "Eh? Why didn't you tell me?" she eyed Justin with a puzzle face. Then she recalled that Miss Carrein already told her that Liechael Ross will be in charge of getting some new members. At first, she wanted to be in charge, but Liechael was popular and the school owner's son, so Alaena gave up.

"Why didn't you tell me that the art class is also recruiting new members?" Justin said it with a bit of dismay in his tone.

"I thought you didn't like arts?" Alaena lowered her head and turned to the window. There she saw the morning rays of the sun hitting the trees and the garden from the wide grassy field of the school. Nature is indeed captivating.

From that window, she saw some students walking on the pathway. Alaena leaned closer. 'Is this how he sees me?' She thought, remembering the day she saw those deep blue eyes gazing down on her.

"Nana?"

"Hey, Nana?"

Alaena jolted from her seat. She saw all of her classmates were already seated properly, all eyes in front.

"Miss Collins, are you okay?" Her professor asked, while adjusting his glasses.

"Y-Yes, Mr. Max! I'm sorry," she quickly bowed her head and scolded herself in her thoughts.

Mr. Max, their first period professor, scratched the back of his head. He's worried because Alaena is a top student and he didn't want the girl to be downgraded because of this. "Miss Collins, the art class professor, is calling you. She said that Mr. Ross, the young master, wanted to see you in the art room…" he pointed to the door. "You'll excuse me now. Go to my office this lunchtime, I'm going to hand the lessons we were going to tackle today,"

Alaena blinked her eyes a few times before totally processing what she just heard. 'The young master of the Ross Family wants to see me?' she thought.

Then the murmuring whispers from her classmates invaded her ears.

"Did you hear that? The young master wants to see her"

"She's so lucky"

"She's a top student after all"

"I envy her"

Little did they know that Alaena is not lucky at all. She felt her body stiffened just by hearing Liechael's name. Alaena bowed her head and exited the classroom with her heavy footsteps. She's trailing the corridors quietly, like she didn't want anyone to hear her steps.

'What would I do if he already told Miss Carrein?' She thought, biting her nails. The girl was doing everything to avoid the young master after that day, but it seemed like destiny wanted to play with her. She admitted that it was her fault, but the school will punish her if they find out that she kicked the young master on the balls.

Just by recalling their encounter that day made Alaena nervous as she felt her forehead sweating. 'I shouldn't have done that, but I have no choice' she's blabbering some words that she didn't even notice that she's in front of-the-art class door.

"Alaena? Are you okay?"

The girl jolted. "M-Miss Carrein?!" she exclaimed.

The lady gazed at Alaena with her puzzled face. She adjusted her glasses. "I went to the faculty for a while because I forgot the other records there," she bent and tapped the girl's shoulders. "Are you okay?"

Alaena quickly straightened her posture and smiled. "Y-Yes, Miss C-Carrein! I'm fine! Good morning!" she averted her gaze, hiding the nervousness in her eyes.

Miss Carrein also greeted her and smiled back. She lifted the folders in her arms and held the door handle. "I'm sorry for calling you so suddenly while in the middle of the class, the young master needed you. He said that he wants to talk to you about some matters"

Alaena gulped. She's a bit relieved and sighed secretly at the same time. At least, from Miss Carrein's expression and gestures, she can tell that the guy didn't tell her anything about them. Alaena reached out her hand and asked the lady to let her help with the folders.

She pushed the door confidently. The nervousness she had earlier vanished from her system. Liechael wasn't that kind of student who'll embarrass someone in front of a professor after all.

But then again, Alaena stiffened and cracked like a stone as soon as she saw the back of the male standing in front of the medium size canvas from the corner of the room. The folders fell from her.

"Eh?" That's the one she painted the other day.
