*GENJI'S POV
My heart raced as I watched the confrontation between Chaoxing and Ying Dou. Although Chaoxing seemed to be trying very hard to control himself, I could see that he was very angry. Ying Dou was right. I had begged him to help me find Wu Ling's murderer. If I abandoned him just like that after the fact that he had abandoned far important things to come help me, I would be seen as ungrateful. The problem is that I was very worried about what Chaoxing would say. We had just reconciled. I didn't want this to cause any major trouble.
Still, I knew that I had to say what was right. Even it meant angering Chaoxing. No. Maybe he will understand. Chaoxing was a man of principle.
"Alright. You are right. You did drop everything to come help me. I cannot abandon you at the last minute" I said.
"Are you serious?" Chaoxing asked in shock while Ying Dou nodded his head in satisfaction leaving.
