Both of us turn to the door in shock as Fengwu enters. Fengwu must not see her. He would certainly recognize Suyin. By the time Fengwu reaches us, I stand up to block him while Suyin bends her head.
"Greetings Your Majesty." I said and Suyin follows suit.
Fengwu walks past me and I follow him leaving Suyin alone. By the time Fengwu sits down, Suyin is no where to be seen though she has not left the room.
"I came to see you immediately Noble Consort Shufei left. Juan'er, I know you must have heard about the rumors going in the inner palace." Fengwu said
"I have heard. Noble Consort Shufei is the least favored concubine. Fengwu, she is the daughter of the head of your fraction. Jingguo has been loyal to you for many years. You must not bite the hand that feeds you" I said
