I had woken up early wanting to deal with the poison case of Concubine Xuyi. Concubine Xuyi was the daughter of one of Fengwu's fraction members. She was very spoilt in her own right and would often cause trouble in the palace.
Fengwu was finally getting better. I didn't want him to have a relapse because of the problems in the inner palace. I urge my maids to hurry up as they try their best to do my hair.
"Empress, Consort Zhaoyi is requesting to see you" A maid said
"Tell her to come in." I said although I wasn't fully dressed. On a normal day, it took almost two hours to have my hair done. Since I had woken up early, I was happy to see they were almost done.
Consort Zhaoyi enters and I can see her hair was done in a rush. I wish I could be that careless. She was just a concubine while I was the Empress.
