" Empress, letter just arrived from Wei." Ruyi said.
Opening the letter, I read through it and burn it. Genji had reunited with Chaoxing. That is not what I wanted. I had done my best to drive a wall between them. Looks like she was going to be a tough opponent.
"My lady, looks like Duchess Huang is no small opponent. You did your best convincing Queen Mother to deal with her yet she escaped" Ruyi said
"Yes. I made a deal with Queen Mother to call truce. We had a common enemy. But Genji is proving to be a sly fox. Its not going to be easy" I said standing up.
"Why don't you tell Queen Mother the truth?" Ruyi asked and I immediately understand her.
"Don't be stupid. If Queen Mother finds out the real Lijuan is dead, she will stop attacking Genji. Genji will pose no threat to her. No. Queen Mother must never find out" I said
"What if the emperor tells her?" Ruyi asked
