Atlas Tower Settlement - Weiss Schnee
Sitting on a bed inside a small stone house was a white haired girl, she had piercing blue eyes aswell as a scar on the left side of her forehead. She was Weiss Schnee, the heiress of the Schnee Dust Company.
Or rather the former heiress of the now destroyed Schnee Dust Company.
Back then people used the dust her family mined but now with the appearance of the Tower and it's creatures, people relied on dust less. The Tower, although dangerous, brought new resources that never existed on Remant before. With that the company's income slowly dwindled until her father was forced to shut it down, ofcourse her father had tried making appliances that are not used for combat but with the company's reputation many didn't even bother to buy their products.
Now she and her mother is staying in the Atlas Tower Settlement while her father took Whitley and disappeared. No one knew where they went but it wasn't her problem anymore, it was hard at first to get used to her current lifestyle because of her pampered past but after years of living in the settlement she slowly got used to it. In fact she was glad she was happier here than she was at her former home.
She had friends aswell as a caring mother to support her, Weiss looked at her scroll and saw it was almost lunch time. She got up and fixed herself before going out of her room, inside the kitchen was her mother, Willow Schner. She had long curvy hair hair that reached her shoulder aswell as light blue eyes, she was humming a tune while cooking their food.
"Hi mom," She said with a smile, without her father around to complain about her way of speaking she became more casual with her talking. Willow looked at her and smiled back, "Hello Weiss, you're just in time for lunch. Can you get the plates ready?" Weiss nodded and grabbed two plates with the spoons and forks, she then set them on the table as she waited for her mother.
A few minutes later her mother came out of the kitchen holding a bowl of warm chicken soup, Willow placed it on the table and looked at Weiss, "Come now Weiss, let us eat" They ate silently enjoying the food that they were eating.
"So Weiss, what are you going to do today?" Her mother asked curiously, Weiss swallowed the food that was in her mouth and hummed, "I'm planning to go Tower Diving today, I need some money for the project I am currently doing." Willow didn't ask what the project was and only nodded. She trusts that whatever Weiss is doing is not harmful, "Okay dear, be careful in there. I heard from my friend in the Association that there had been sightings of a mutated creature in the fifth floor."
Weiss noted the information and nodded to her mother.
A few minutes later she is already in the streets, walking towards the Tower. She looked at her scroll and opened a file named [Team Rotations], Compared to the other settlements Atlas' doesn't want people going solo inside the Towers. When the Towers first opened half of the population was killed and a large amount of those deaths were Huntsmen, so because of that Huntsmen are now protected by the government because without them nobody can teach the younger generation.
The rotation system was made so that when they encounter a creature stronger than them they can easily merge with another team to take it out. Weiss' team for the day is a newbie team with one Hunter being the leader of the group. She had been assigned to this group because they had lacked someone who can deal ranged attacks, with her semblance and skill with the bow she was picked out of the many archers in the Association.
She tucked in her scroll and continued walking towards the tower. Once arriving in the entrance she saw her team and greeted them, "Hello my name is Weiss Schnee, you can call me by my codename Glyph, it's a pleasure working with you for today," The others did the same.
Her team's leader came forward and shook her hand, "Hello, my name is Matt Davin, you can call me Mismatch, we welcome you to the team" Matt smiled and introduced her to the others.
"Starting from the left we have Guardian-" Matt points at a black haired male who has a sword strapped on his hip aswell as a shield on his back. Guardian bowed his head in greeting to which she returned.
"Next we have Slyphid-" He points to a light blue haired panther faunus as Slyphid harrumph at her, She had halberd as a weapon and it looked too big for her. She probably knew her former identity as the Schnee heiress but that's okay. She gets why Slyphid reacted that way.
"And lastly we have Gnome," Gnome was a short teen around sixteen years of age, he had brown hair and black eyes. Strapped on hip was five packs of cards from different brands,He looked very nervous.
That's very bad for a mission so she walked towards Gnome, "Hey, can you clasp your hands like this for a moment?" She pressed her hands together as Gnome followed, the moment he did so Weiss slapped both of his hands as he yelped in surprise and pain.
"Ow! What was that for?!" He asked loudly, Weiss put her hand to her hip and looked at Gnome with a smile, "You aren't shaking anymore right?" Gnome blinked and looked at his hands, she was right he wasn't shaking anymore.
"Can't let you be nervous inside the Tower, a single mistake means we die, you got it?" Gnome nodded and thanked her, She looked back at Matt and saw him smiling at her, "Okay since everyone had been introduced let's talk about our battle positions before diving."
