From the deductions that sir Rosé has made, it was made known to me that there will be the next murder using the Sleeping Beauty method.
I was there when he briefed me about it. He had of course- teased of my mental stamina for reading the mountains of cases that left unrecorded in history due to the influence of the Underground. But he was somewhat happy- a little bit of joy is there in his voice when he told me his deductions of the victims, the case's overall progress and so on.
"He's like a child," I told to myself. "A child born with an ancient blood."
And so- currently, he proposed that all the victims were poisoned by the same perpetrator behind the killings. "Because if it is the infamous Jack the Ripper, then surely we will see a much more gruesome pattern of murders," He said. "But instead; the trail of the murders were never really seen or investigated- and from what we have known; all victims were very much in a sleep like death."
A death sleep. They died in their sleep.
"Usually, in my world, this is easily reversed using magic," He nods. "But such things are not completely seen in this world, so I won't be using it that much."
"What about the Scotland Yard? Do they not partake themselves in the investigation?" I saw him, shaking his head. "It seems like they too are in the grasp of the Underground. Consider ourselves lucky to be able to grab at this; because if not; then-"
I was cut off with the sounds of flipping pages.
"From the case files, we knew that this Sleeping Beauty targets women that are stressed beyond the limitations of mental exhaustions," He said. "These women are usually the ones we see as prostitutes- or workers; that usually are in need of a medication to help them sleep."
"The ones we usually see on the East End," I snapped my fingers. He clapped. "Bravo! Finally, you're a second faster than I am."
Thanks. I like to try. E for Effort you know?
I saw his smile. "So we'll investigate the East End first." He said. "We have to get there faster than the demons can see. They say demons have senses better than humans!"
"Are there demons in your world, though?" I asked. And he laughed.
"No demon can ever defeat the might of Fae blood!" He claimed proudly; cape swooshing as he turned. I sighed- as he made a grab for his cane; and on his face, carved a mischievous smirk.
"Now off we go!"
