"Boss, I checked his medical records. There are no recoveries. Only treatment records," a guy said, standing in front of his boss.
"As expected," the boss said as he is sitting down comfortably on his chair holding a bottle of champagne in his hand.
"And here," the assistant handed his boss a birth certificate. "That guy Prince Chihoon Chu really made a fake certificate, just as you thought. But, Boss, how did you know that he mde a fake birth certificate?"
The boss read the certificate. "I was just holding a guess. If a person wants to live in the modern world, that person would make a legitimate identity. That person is really smart. I didn't think that he would live. I guess he really didn't want to give up his life. He actually didn't die?" He crumpled the paper he's holding tht made his assistant lower his head.
Until now, he is still feel scared everytime he face his boss. He didn't know what he'll do to him once he made an unnecessary move.
"Besides going to the library, did Chihoon meet anyone else?" The boss asked again.
"We didn't see him searching for someone. Here is the list of books that Prince Chihoon checked and his browsing history," he handed a paper to his boss again.
The boss reads it. "Social Science. Biology. Stem Cell Institute. He lost mostly of his memories, so he forgot already about me. This time, I won't miss out," he grips the paper he's holding tightly.
The assistant's phone suddenly rang so the boss looked at him. "Hello?" His assistant answered his phone. "I got it," he said and puts down his phone. "Boss, one of my men told me that Prince Chihoon is staying at Miss Shanelle Park's house."
The boss raised an eyebrow. "Shanelle Park?"
__________
"Hatching!" Shanelle scratched her nose to her suddenly sneezing. "Who dare mentioned my name?" She shrugged her shoulder. She is currently lying down the couch while holding her phone. She just finished cleaning the other room where Chihoon will stay so that he won't sleep on her room again.
When Chihoon got home, she dragged him to the other room. "This will be your room from now on. You can't go into my room without permission," she said after opening the door. The room is very cozy and clean with complete appliances really intended for a guest to stay.
"Okay. Because you already gave me a room, give me a laptop then also. I want it to be touch screen and the latest model at that. Thank you," Chihoon said and walks to the bed.
Shanelle's mouth agapes. The heck? He's demanding her? Am I his sugar mommy or something? No, he's hundred older than her, she thought.
She annoyingly walks to his direction. "Wait, you are living for 700 years and you slept for 100 years and you just woke up because of my talent and blood, when did you ever learn how to use a computer huh?" She said with her hands on her waist.
"One month is enough for me to learn all the skilss I need to survive in this modern society," he said with his eyes closed. Then he opened them and looks at her. "Leaning the development of the latest century from reading old newsapers is maybe more than what you've learn in the past 21 years."
She scoffed at what he said. Very arrogant monster, she thought again. "Yes, yes, yes. You're an ageless monster. Of course I can't compare myself to you. But didn't your mother taught you not to reveal a woman's age?" She pointed her finger at his face.
Chihoon sits down and leaned his back on the headrest of the bed. "First, I am a human. Just that I have special abilities. Second, of course, my mother passed away more then 500 years ago."
Shanelle swallowed hard then puts down her hand. "Sounds pretty scary," she said in a slow voice but the guy heard her because one of his abilities is to hear even the slightest scratch. Shanelle suddenly remembered something. "Oh right. There are two idiots whom I know. Idiot no. 1 is helping his detective brother in investigating my accident. Idiot no. 2 which is a scientist, asked me about things regarding my recovery. And...they both are looking for that dormant corpse who they thought was stolen." She is walking back and forth while her hand is holding her chin. Chihoon is just listening at her while his gaze is following her. "They don't know that the greatest clue about this is..." She stopped walking and looked at Chihoon who is looking at her confusedly.
"Hahahahahahahaha," Shanelle suddenly burst into laughter. But she stopped when she realized that Chihoon didn't have a slightest reaction. "Ah?" She clears her throat and stands properly.
Chihoon stands and walks in front of Shanelle. "The two idiots that you're talking about are your numbers six and seven, right?" He said referring to the girl's sixth and seventh ex-boyfruend whis is Nicolai Troy Jung, a scientist, and Gabrielle Lee, an ex artist and now, a playing police detective.
Yes, he researched not only his past, but also the people related to Shanelle. Until now, the rumor of Gabrielle leaving Touch5 is still on top searches.
"Psh, such a gossip monster. He knew even that?" Shanelle said to hersef in a whispering voice. "Wait, don't tell me in your monster world, I am also famous?"
"I told you many times that I am a human, idiot," he flicks Shanelle's forehead lightly and sits down the bed again.
Shanelle is frowning while she massaged her forehead. She walks towards the door of the room, but stops halfway when she remembered something. She looks at him again. "By the way, I know that you come and go like a shadow, but don't do that often ok? Don't suddenly show yourself to me, especially to my room. And don't suddenly dissapear. I don't want to die with heart attack, understand?" She said and left the room.
