*This is an average day at the temple. It follows the story but it's just a random day; sometime between 'Something Familiar' and 'Mission; Send Off'*
Everyone within the Temple and surrounding living quarters, went to complete their duties and/or training requirements as usual. There is an unofficial schedule that the majority of the temples inhabitants abide by. Most days begin and end without much conflict within the temple and surrounding residents.
...(Kitchen)Jirobo along with the other cooks, woke up slightly earlier than the others to prepare a simple breakfast for the Temple Workers and Guard Units. Many are on missions or training well into the night and don't keep up with healthy eating habits, making them stumble in throughout the morning. For those who do not show, Jirobo sends his right hand man out with a delivery cart of warm and fresh breakfast foods. "Oi, take that off the stove before you burn it!" Jirobo demanded from one of the other cooks. "I-sorry Sir," a nervous young man stammered as he did as he was told. "You don't have to be sorry kid, just pay attention next time," he said with a bright smile as he patted the young man's head; who smiled and nodded as he got back to cooking.
...(Temple) Amber, Hanako, and the other maids, began tidying their specific areas around the Temple around the same hours as the cooks. Gently dusting the ornate areas of the temple as well as vigorously scrubbing the blood stained towels and other gear from the sparring arenas. Hanako is the head maid and divies out the days tasks to the maids who are on staff. "Amber, take this laundry to Madame Priestess' living quarters." Amber nodded to Hanako, and quickly made her way to Wren's room, hoping she was already back from her mission. She hesitated then cautiously knocked on the door. *Knock knock* "M-Madame?" There was a short paused before Wren answered, "Come in Amber," she heard her say in a raspy tone. As she entered the room she was startled and dropped the laundry. "M-M-Madame! H-how did that-" "Shh! keep your voice down and come help me" Amber quickly shut the door and ran over to Wren's side to help in anyway she could.
...(Temple grounds) Jasper and the others who worked on the temple grounds, began trimming trees and shrubs, and taking care of anything else needed around the temple grounds. "Stop slacking off. I know you are new, but we keep a tight schedule here, be mindful." Jasper said in a stern tone. He had a tired look on his face as he instructed the others, all the while grabbing tools he needed to complete certain repairs. "Man, I know it's still early, but how long until we are..able to.." He trailed off and the lady who he was speaking with, looked concerned. "Stephan? What's wrong?" She gently shook him but she could get his focus back on her. "Leave him, get back to your duties Anya," she looked up from her seated position and saw Jasper's bright red eyes staring intently into her own. "Y-yessir.." she scurried away to catch up with the others. Jasper sighed and looked down at Stephan, 'You can snap out of it already..' he projected..
...(Fire Unit) Ari, Mav, and Thaddeus left before sunrise to complete a mission regarding a high ranking Fire Unit general. Missions are normally assigned based on an individual's strengths and if a team is needed, there will be members that compliment one another to be most effective. Although Ari is still relatively new to the Fire Unit, she exhibits a high level of skill that has moved her relatively quickly through the rankings. Due to the importance of the mission, Thaddeus, who has been a high ranking officer for many years, was accompanying Mav and Ari to provide support and act as the mediator between officials. "*sigh* "Mav, enough. At the rate you are going your horse will surely fall asleep on its feet." Mav's face showed his distain for Thaddeus, but when he turned to face him directly, he plastered a smile on his face. "Yes yes, as you wish Sir Thaddy!" He said in a sarcastic tone, then clicked his tongue and pulled the reins, causing his horse to whiney and start running towards their direction.
...Around lunch time; "Madame Wren I am so glad we were able to have lunch today," Aster said as he was grinning ear to ear, while walking over to the table where Wren was sitting. "I'm glad as well. It has been quite some time since we have been able to relax and talk. I also had been trying to find the time to thank you properly for getting medical attention for Naya, Michael, and I." Wren said with a smile as she picked up her sandwich and took a bite. Aster's cheeks turned a slight shade of red as he picked up his food which was *Souvlaki, one of his favorites. "Whoa, this food is soo good!" Aster was happily munching on his food while Wren chuckled and continued eating. For the remainder of their lunch, the two discussed a variety of different topics. After both of them finished their food, knowing they both had a sweet tooth, Jirobo came in with dessert and both of them ate it happily. "You make amazing desserts Jirobo! They are soo..mm!" Aster couldn't contain his excitement, which caused both Wren and Jirobo to laugh.
Elsewhere in the temple..."Michael, I don't like keeping secrets, especially not from someone who can so easily brush against me and learn the truth. I don't remember what happened that day at Takeda's..*sigh* I feel like-" "Stop Cole. Some things are better left unsaid..I don't like keeping things from her either but, just drop it, please. I want to involve you as little as possible but I also need someone I can trust. For the time being, just keep your distance and if she thinks something is off, let me know." Cole gave Michael a skeptical glare and sighed once more. "I have a bad feeling.. things are going to change. You know how I have always been fairly sensitive to these matters. Watch your back and, watch hers." Cole said before briefly patting Michael's shoulder and walking away. 'He's right..why did I have to go dig through the old records that day..I've regretted it ever since,' he thought to himself as he sighed heavily and stood up. "I still don't get why Valen never-" "Why I never what?" Michael gasped slightly as he heard Valen's voice suddenly. He hesitated, "..Well, why you never told her about her real parents?"
