"It's a war zone" said Lucas as he stared at port Ikhoboka. "Not only with the invasion, but this port has a lot of slaves coming in and out of it" Ponto added. Waateef looked in disappointment as he saw slave ships heading out to Tristam as well as other countries around the world. But he actually did not feel scared, but rather safe with Rael and Lucas.
As Lucas stood at the edge of the ship, a bird came flying towards him. As the bird got near the ship, it transformed back into Rael. Rael landed on the ship with a map of town and began drawing the Coronia's position on the map. "So you can change into birds" asked Lucas. "Along with scorpions, lizards, humans, and any other animal that he sees" followed Waateef. "Boom" shouted Rael as he held up the map with his drawings. "Wow, this is amazing" said Lucas as he looked at the map. "This is amazingly crappy. Even a 2 year old draws better than this" Lucas said as he crumbled the map and threw it at Rael's head. "I put my soul into it" yelled Rael as he threw a tantrum on the ground.
Lucas was then faced with the challenge of walking through town while avoiding Coronian forces. Coronia was from a different continent and as attempting to colonize this one. They are however at war with the super power country on the continent known as Katanga. Lucas knew that traveling with an orc could lead to problems with the slave traders as well.
Rael transformed into a bird once more and flew out as the ship had hit port. Lucas threw a cloak over Waateef which did not cover him up much. Using what he remembered from Rael's map, Lucas led his team throughout town without any interaction from Coronian forces. The team made it out of town without any harm and continued to follow a dirt road leading out. The team came to a stop when a truck full of Coronian forces came. "Stop" yelled the troops. Two more trucks came in behind them. Coronian forces came out of their trucks in a line with their guns aimed at Lucas and his team. Rael then flew by as a giant bird. He swooped by and shot down a long continuous lightning blast and rammed it through all of the Coronian forces. It's is still a good day today" noted Vegron. "More troops are coming" said Waateef. "Still a good day" added David as Lucas led the team off the trail and into the woods.
Next Day
Kilkyl was sitting down chewing tobacco. Vegron, Ponto and David were sitting sad from their horrible rainy night in the woods. Lucas was stressed on how to enter Katanga which was heavily guarded. Zarz was reading. Rael was stacking rocks even though Lucas told him not to. Waateef however, was happy. "Why is Waateef happy all of a sudden" asked David. Ponto explained that Waateef is from this continent and that here the Katanga Empire is held with the highest regards. The queen is especially known as the most beautiful throughout the land. "Damn. So this is his dream come true" David noted.
Waateef continued to lollygag dancing around and brushing his dread locks back to then shake them out and brush them back again. "Vegron" yelled Lucas for the umpteenth time, "Are you sure you can't figure out a way in. Rael! Quit stacking rocks"! Rael kicked down his stack of rocks, crossed his arms and laid on his back. Vagron then stated the facts. Katanga has a wall, tremor detectors, guards, and troops that keep eye on the sky. Everybody and everything that came in and out of Katanga was heavily checked. Lucas was losing his mind. Lucas pondered for a plan. He then rounded up his finest, Ponto, Kilkyl, and Vegron to come with him to find a way in.
Lucas ventured into the forest searching far and wide for a way in only to fail at the hands of the Katanga guards patrolling the forest. Lucas was winded. Zarz, Ponto, and Kilkyl were dehydrated. Lucas looked over his shoulder where he saw a trial with a giant orc and a child walking. At first he thought they were strangers, but at second glance realized it was Rael and Waateef. "What the hell are they doing" asked Lucas. "Ponto, what are those two up to" asked Lucas. Ponto then explained that orcs are kindly welcomed by Katanga. Other creatures aside from humans are also typically welcomed by Katanga. Fire within Lucas began burning hotter than Kilkyl's torch flames. Ponto felt as though he was shrinking tinier and melting. Lucas then began running after Waateef and Rael. Unfortunately they were too far and made it to Katanga's gates before Lucas could reach them. Lucas was even more furious.
"I never been here before" said Rael with a big smile on his face and elf ears pointing out. "This is how it should be here" said Waateef as he smiled just as bright as he smelled the incense and felt the breeze brushing his face. The two walked slowly through town experiencing the drums being beaten, but not people. Tubes being blown, but not pockets. People were dancing, but not fighting. There were smiles without a frown in sight. Waateef could not help but to flex his muscle as he saw many lady orcs without any scars nor marks of slavery on them. Rael then pointed out stating that there were many people playing volleyball. Waateef was just as excited as Rael to finally play some sports. The two dashed off into the crowd heading out towards a giant lake in town.
Once there the two saw many humans, orcs, and a few dwarves of all types playing together. Waateef then spoke up asking a group if he and Rael could play volleyball with them. A dwarf spoke up and accepted the two. Rael and Waateef played volleyball to their hearts content. Once the people were all done playing, they invited Rael and Waateef to come eat and party with them. The food ranged from fresh fruits and vegetables to cooked fish. Rael and Waateef partied, smoked, and drank until the two were in a stupor laughing at their own jokes.
Late that night Rael and Waateef had nowhere to sleep. A friendly orc then welcomed the two to come stay with him for the night. Waateef and Rael detected no ill will from the orc and thus took him on his offer. As Waateef and Rael approached the orc's home they could tell it was a full home. The house was small, but the heads were many. A bigger orc came out and greeted the friendly orc with hugs and kisses. The two were married with many children, friends, and family living in their home. Waateef and Rael were kindly welcomed by everybody.
Next Day
Waateef and Rael woke up to bread with fried veggies. The two ate and then headed to the castle where the queen lived. Waateef was excited. His whole reason for sneaking away from Lucas was to try to seduce and marry the queen. Rael wanted to help Waateef as well as get more information for Lucas and the mission. As the two drew nearer to the castle, troops came and apprehended the two. "Fuuuuck" yelled Rael as he and Waateef was being put into handcuffs.
Later
Lucas and his remaining team was sitting out in the woods being eaten by mosquitoes. Lucas was waiting for an answer while everybody else was waiting for Lucas' orders. As everybody sat patiently waiting, two Katangian troopers appeared. "We come to speak to Lucas" yelled the troopers in hopes not to scare away Lucas and his team. Lucas continued to lay down next to a tree while Vegron directed the two troopers to Lucas. The troopers explained that Waateef and Rael was safely at the queens castle waiting for Lucas and his team to come. "What for" Lucas asked. The troopers further explained that the queen has a deal waiting for Lucas. "What deal" asked Lucas. The two troopers refused to give anymore information. Lucas did not care whether the troopers were lying or not. He just wanted Waateef and Rael to come back. Thus the two troopers left to deliver the message.
Later
"Lucas is an asshole" said Rael, "so I should draw a picture and write a letter to Lucas". Waateef sat puzzled across from Rael at the dinner table at the prison. Waateef and Rael were not real prisoners. There was simply a lack of better places to hold them. The guard got Rael a pen and paper who had then drew a stick-man picture and wrote a letter to Lucas.
When the picture was delivered to Lucas by the two troopers, he only glanced at Rael's drawing, crumbled the picture, and threw it away. He then demanded for Waateef and Rael to come back or for the message to be delivered.
The troopers returned with the news of Lucas' stubbornness affirming that he was a real asshole. Rael fell to tears once he heard that his picture was once again crumbled and thrown away. A human stood sighing "i'll bring this man in" he said. "Lucas and his men are strong" added Waateef. But the human had no worries.
Later later
Lucas was laying down next to his tree taking a nap while each team member was relaxing about their little campsite when a swarm of Katangian forces fell landed in front of them. Kilkyl attempted to stab one with his axe, but the trooper quickly dodged it, allowing another trooper to electrocute Kilkyl along with Vegron and David. A giant orc trooper grabbed Zarz before he could cast a spell. Lucas stood with Ponto surrounded by their fallen comrades and forceful trooper. "That's it Ponto, we're leaving to start a new life in the islands" said Lucas. The leader of the troopers came forth. He looked as enthusiastic as Lucas about the whole charade. Lucas then recognized him as Don Cheadle. A soldier who fled Tristam to help the orcs and halflings fight back against their enslavement. Commander Cheadle then demanded Lucas to come in with his men. Lucas had little to no choice.
Back at the prison, Lucas was held in Cheadle's office while his entire team was held in prison cells. Lucas spoke with Cheadle for a bit regarding Hank Bedlam. It did not take long for the two men to reach a conclusion. Lucas walked out with a trooper to free his men. They were then escorted out of Katanga.
It was not long after Lucas and his full team walked out of Katanga that Lucas turned around and began giving Rael and Waateef an ass chewing. Waateef stood collecting Lucas' spit while Rael stood looking up and teary eyed. Neither Waateef nor Rael was really paying attention to Lucas. "I just wanted to meet the queen" said Waateef. Lucas continued yelling. Rael continued his act while thinking to himself how they were suppose to kill this Hank Bedlam guy who single handed broke into Katanga and escaped after selling their information to Coronia. Lucas was finished after a good hour of yelling at the two and began leading his crew up north towards the villages.
David and Vegron stayed a good distance in the back of the formation as Lucas was leading the team throughout the forest. Rael was walking thinking to himself how this mission is gonna suck and that he might as well bail on it. He then looked back and saw Vegron and David signalling him to come to the back with them. Rael casually made his way to the back to join in on their gossip. David and Vegron were curious as to what information Rael has regarding the mission. Rael whispered and explained that their job was not to assassinate anybody. But rather to steal an ancient artifact from the city of Babylonia. Vegron had no clue what Babylonia was. David heard that it was an ancient evil civilization. The two began questioning Rael about the artifact and Babylonia. Rael further explained that long ago a calamity came down and brought forth an advanced species of creatures that established the city of Babylonia. The gods were displeased and destroyed the city. But its weaponry remained. The artifact they are looking for is a weapon from this ancient city and they are trying to retrieve it for Tristram. The weapon is apparently strong enough to overthrow civilizations and has access to godly magic. Rael then admitted that he was in over his head when he took this mission and kinda wants out. Vegron and David both agreed. None of them knew that they were after a crazy ancient weapon being fought over by nations. And surely if the half-elf did not want to be a part of it, then neither did they. "We gotta get out of this" said Vegron. David only laughed asking "how"? "Lucas did something that got him in trouble. This mission is his only way to redeem himself. The only reason why he is keeping everybody together is to help himself" Rael explained. "You got it little guy" Vegron chimed, "so let's get rid of this guy and get out of here". "One more thing, Zarz knew from the beginning and is looking for the city of Babylonia for research purposes" said Rael. David then noted that Kilkyl is also loyal to his payer. Rael further added that Ponto was in this for his family and Waateef for the sake of not having his fellow orcs slaughtered. David and Vegron both shocked to not have Waateef on their side. This left the trio with no option of a coup and few of any other option. They then decided to fake their deaths and run away. David then made it clear to not tell anybody. "Waateef and Ponto knows" said Rael. "Huh" asked David. "Orcs, elves, and half-lings have a great sense of hearing while dwarves and animal hybrids typically have terrible hearing" said Vegron. "Shit" David said silently. Rael then stated, "As long as we don't harm the mission, we can escape without any worry from Waateef or Ponto". The trio did not know how they were going to do it, but they were going to bail on this mission and leave Lucas to suffer.
After some time, the team came to a spot where they began setting up a small camp. "So what are we doing now" asked Kilkyl. "We are protecting the Alke village from the Coronian Forces by defeating General Victor Crane" said Lucas. "Coolios" blurted Vegron. David sat and thought "How the fuck are we going to take out a general"? "How are we going to do that" asked Rael. Lucas did not have a clear answer. But knew they were to join the remaining Alke rebels. Lucas already had the plan to link up with them the next day, but had no clue on how he was going to push forward.
Late that night as the team slept, Rael stayed up watching the night sky from a tree, making sure no enemy sneaks up on the tree. "So you really are an elf" said Waateef as he climbed up next to Rael. "Hey" Rael replied. "So what happening to you to join these people" asked Waateef. Rael then began, "Not many options. My mom was raped by a human. Elves are not too accepting of humans to begin with. So I am not too welcomed in elf societies. Nor human ones. But at least among humans I can hide myself and pretend to be a child. My mom was eaten by a beast. So I have nobody to run with. If I can gain power, I can do whatever I want and live my life free. What about you? what are you going to do once you have left out of here"? "I honestly don't got much going on to me. They want me to do this and in return my people don't die" said Waateef. Waateef then shrugged "My people are going to die anyways. And if they live they will only be oppressed one way or another". "I say take the deal. Get your freedom and go" Rael added. "Go where" asked Waateef. "Here, Kashkiri, or even in the lands by Coronia. It is actually pretty nice out there" Rael replied. "Ya know, that ain't a bad idea" Waateef said looking down. Waateef then sighed and asked "are you all really going to quit the mission". Rael then stood up and replied "The magic we're dealing with goes over any elf magic. It is the magic that gods feared and attempted to destroy. The man and the entire bank was under the wielder's spell. I knew we were chasing an ancient artifact of great power, but not this kind of nonsense. I'm out". Waateef watched as Rael walked off and thought how hopeless it was for him to walk away from this mission alive.
The next day Lucas woke up early and got his team onto their feet. They hiked through the woods until they came to a swamp, Lucas looked around and saw nothing but a giant python. "They're underground" said Rael. "So how do we knock" asked Lucas. "You don't" answered Ponto, "you whistle". Ponto then began to blow a silent whistle that only fellow half-lings and elves could hear. Small patches of dirt began to rattle around the swamp and out came half-lings. Lucas spoke "We were sent", but a half-ling immediately cut him off saying "we know. Ponto explained it all". Lucas was baffled by the fact that Ponto explained so much with a silent whistle. Lucas then walked away with Ponto and Waateef to speak with the Alke chief.
While Lucas was speaking to the Alke chief, Kilkyl began questioning Rael on his intentions with being in the group. Rael only rejected him by explaining that he simply wants to join Tristram army. But Kilkyl did not believe him. David and Vegron were listening in on the heated argument worrying that their plot to escape may be thwarted. Rael could sense that Kilkyl was only being an asshole, but Vegron and David could not. Rael begin closing off the argument, going as far as demanding Kilkyl to shut up. But this only made Kilkyl angrier. Kilkyl stood up and drew his axe causing Rael to step forward to the over sized asshole. The two faced off made a jump at one another when a missile came down and blew up the land. Many missiles came thereafter destroying all of the homes and almost all living things. David had luckily grabbed Vegron just in time to shield him from most of the blast while Zarz, Kilkyl, and Rael were left defenseless to absorb the blast. Lucas was further away from the team but still suffered from the blast. Waateef had quickly picked up Lucas, Ponto, and the chief and ran far away to prevent further damages from the missiles.
Everybody was either dead or injured. Waateef had successfully escaped with the three in his arms. Rael rolled to his stomach and attempted to transform to a mouse, but was too injured. David and Vegron were both unconscious. Zarz was out cold while Kilkyl was completely paralyzed, but still awake. Rael heard the vehicles coming closer and closer until he looked over and realized a nearly 6-foot dwarf walked out with soldiers around him. They were kicking bodies and sniffing around. The dwarf in charge then spotted Zarz. He knew Zarz was not one of the Alke Rebels. He then looked around and noticed that there were others that were no half-lings. The dwarf then ordered for all non half-lings to be taken as prisoners while the rest were slaughtered. Rael and Kilkyl watched as each of their teammates were picked up and each half-ling was shot dead regardless of their age.
3 Days later
Lucas was faint as he woke up surrounded by brush. His head was pounding, and his throat was dry. Lucas felt as though he was going to throw up, but had nothing to puke. He looked up and saw Waateef sitting down with fruit in his hands. "Where is everybody" asked Lucas. Waateef explained that they may or may not be dead from the attack. In addition, Katanga would not accept them despite their injuries. Lucas was angered to tears. Waateef handed Lucas some food to eat, but Lucas had only attempted to throw the food away. Lucas was crying with his head down. Sobbing that he had once again failed his men. "Did you see their bodies" Lucas asked. "No" Waateef replied, detecting the sorrow in Lucas' heart. Waateef had finally felt the sense of love and dignity inside of Lucas. Sure in the past Lucas was terrified and had a sense of care, but never was Waateef able to tell that it was for his teammates and not the mission. Waateef then assured Lucas that once Ponto and the chief wakes up they can heal themselves to full strength and they could check for dead bodies. Lucas felt no better, but knew he had no choice without endangering further lives.
Elsewhere
Rael and Kilkyl remained hanging from their hands being nailed into a bamboo pole. The giant metal used was a special metal that seals away magic. Thus preventing the two from escaping. The nail itself curled up like a hook to prevent them from physically sliding off. Both were wearing nothing but shorts to cover their groins. Bleeding and bruised from their frequent beatings. The dwarf from before came in with a nailed bat. "Good morning Victor" Rael and Kilkyl said in sync. "Good morning" Victor replied, "Have the two of you decided to tell me why you are here"? "No" said the two in sync. Victor gave a nice chuckle before he began beating into Rael and Kilkyl senselessly.
Meanwhile, Vegron, Zarz, and David were each tied in a room on a bed. They had been frequently beaten, but not as hard as Rael and Kilkyl. It was time for the the captives to eat. As usual wet bread was stuffed in the mouths of Kilkyl and Rael as they continued to hang from the magic suppressing hooks. Vegron, David, and Zarz were given a nicer treatment. They were beaten and brought out with their hands cuffed and feet shackled. The three had then stood in a line with other captives waiting to eat. One by one each would get a plate of unidentifiable mush. Zarz was first. He grabbed a plate of mush and sat down moping and eating what he could. David was next and asked if he could get a little bit of meat. The server called over a guard who rushed past the line and began to beat on David. After a few minutes and David was sent to starve. Vegron then looked at the guard with a sad face and asked if he could get a plate of food. The guard allowed Vegron to continue without any hassle.
Elsewhere, Lucas had arrived at the original site of the missile attack. Waateef looked around holding Ponto and the Chief. "I cannot see any of their bodies" said Waateef. "What do you mean" asked Lucas with tears on his face. Waateef looked and sniffed, but found no signs of Rael, Kilkyl, Vegron, David, nor Zarz. "They're not here" replied Waateef. With a heavy heart, Lucas then asked "which way did the Coronian forces go"?
David had been taken off for further beating while everybody else sat and ate their mush. once done, three guards came and took them away to their beds in multiples of three. Vegron and Zarz waited patiently and silently. Zarz had no clue on what to do while Vegron was exhausted by the whole ordeal. Finally the three guards came to bring Zarz, Vegron, and another human to their beds for restraining. The three guards walked them trough the campsite through the tents. One guard walked in the front while another stayed in the back. The prisoners walked in a line while another guard walked near the center with his rifle aimed at the prisoners. "Hhmm" said Vegron as he took a step back out of line looking towards the rear guard. The center guard went to fire his shot at Vegron, but Vegron had already dashed towards the front of the line and came around the center guard. Vegron pulled a knife out, staffed the guard in his arm, used the guard as a shield and sliced his throat with a second knife. Vegron had moved so fast that by the time the guard in the back raised his rifle and the front guard notice a disruption, the center guard was dying. The stranger in the line ran away causing a distraction for the rear guard and giving Vegron enough time to dash over and stab the rear guard in the neck. Zarz quickly grabbed the front guard and held him in a headlock. The guard attempted to yell, but Vegron had already sliced his throat as well. Zarz continued to choke the guard until he was indefinitely dead. Vegron was hurrying up to hide the guard's bodies and steal their equipment. "How did you get your hands free and a two knives" asked Zarz. "Easy" said Vegron as he was stripping the guards, "When David was asking for food I grabbed some stuff from the guard that passed by. Bet you did not see me grab the keys nor the blades, huh"? "We got to get out of here" said Zarz as he began heading towards the woods. But Vegron detested leaving David or the rest of his buddies behind. Zarz thought Vegron was crazy, but knew his chances of survival were limited without the team. Vegron and Zarz had then dressed as the dead guards and made their way through camp.
"Ow" said Rael and Kilkyl in unison. "Why do you two saying "ow" in unison" asked Victor. The two then replied in unison "We are to great and speak with proper obedience in unison sir"A sudden explosion was the heard from outside. Victor could not ignore the explosion. He then ran out to see what was going on. "You think that's help" asked Rael. "I don't know" Kilkyl replied. "Swing and kick me off the hook" asked Rael. Kilkyl waited a quick moment to make sure nobody was coming back in till he started swinging with the nails grinding in his palms.
David was being untied by Vegron and Zarz who had killed the guards guarding David as well when the explosion was heard. "Fuck" said David. "Hurry up and let's go" demanded Zarz. "I'm trying to think" said Vegron, "We have not heard many troops storming to a fight. Rael and Kilkyl would be the types to cause an explosion against an army, but are captive as well with magic suppressors. So who could that be"?
Victor ran out demanding answers for the explosion. But his men where running wild shooting in many directions. Prisoners were running and attacking the guards with no care for their lives. An orc prisoner had then ran up and attempted to stab Victor with a sword he found. Victor threw his left arm up in a standard guard position causing the blade to slip away. The orc then punched Victor, but had no impact on him. Victor then pushed away the orc's fist and began punching the orc till it grew faint. Once the orc could not fight, Victor picked up the blade and stabbed the orc in the heart.
The Coronian soldiers were firing away at the fleeing prisoners when Waateef jumped up in the air with a Coronian Humvee and smashed it into a number of Coronian troops. Waateef then roared out at the troops who had then began focusing their fire at Waateef. While Waateef was keeping the majority of the troops distracted, Lucas was looking around at the tents and through the crowd for his men. However, his eyes caught sight of Victor Crane himself who had just killed an orc. The two men made eye contact leading Lucas to hold his sword high encased in magic and charge at Victor.
Kilkyl ran out of the tent with Rael behind him. Their hands were bleeding along with their backs. The two had no intention to fight due to their injuries and weakened state. The two were so injured that they could not even work up their basic magic. The were stumbling their way to get out of the campsite. A Coronian soldier then came and started firing at the two. Kilkyl rushed the trooper while Rael flat palm the trooper in his liver. Kilkyl then grabbed the trooper's head and twisted it backwards. Rael grabbed the trooper's hand gun and knife while Kilkyl grabbed the trooper's rifle. The two continued to run towards the woods when suddenly Ponto jumped up on Rael's back.
Zarz reluctantly followed David and Zarz as they made their way through the camp looking for Rael and Waateef. Sure enough their was a tug on Vegron's boot. Vegron jumped and looked down where he saw nothing. The Alke chief had then apologized and had undone his invisibility spell. "Sorry about that" he said, "Follow me". The Alke chief then ran Zarz, Vegron, and David until they came upon Ponto healing Rael. Kilkyl's hands were already healed, but his body was still in distress. "Thank the gods" said David in relief. "We still need our weapons" said Kilkyl. "I have an idea on where they are, but it's on the other side of camp" Vegron stated. Rael then noted that Waateef needed help and that it would be better to go around camp to get their weapons. But before Rael finished talking, a giant fire blast was shot at the team. Zarz quickly shot out a wind blast to counter the fire assailant. "We'll be back with out gear" said Vegron as he, David, and Kilkyl ran off into the woods for a safe route to the weapons. Rael was barely able to stand on his own and Ponto Stayed by him to keep healing him.
Lucas was panting. His body felt broken while Victor barely worked a sweat and had only a few scratches. Victor began mocking Lucas. Lucas only grew angrier. Lucas dashed at Victor swinging his sword, parrying Victors punches with his bade. Victor was quick and slid past Lucas' blade to kick him in the rib. Lucas managed to dodge the kick by a hair a fire off a power blast from his sword at Victors neck. the blast had hit causing Victor to jump back, but was not fatal. Lucas had already figured that Victor was using a magical aura for a boost in both offensive and defensive abilities. While this ability was great, Lucas knew it only lasted for so long. Lucas charged again at Victor as he jumped away. Victor attempted a roundhouse on Lucas, but Lucas dropped and slid on the ground to dodge Victor's kick. Lucas then encased his sword in magic and sliced Victor's standing leg nearly completely off. Victor then grabbed Lucas, slammed him on the ground, and began to strangle him. Victor was enraged, tearing through Lucas' flesh with his bare hands. Lucas did not stop. Lucas fought against Victor's grip and turned his bladed pointing at Victor's neck. Lucas then enchanted his blade once more and pierced his sword through Victor's neck. Victor's grip was still strong if not stronger than before. Lucas was out of air and saw no end to Victor's grip. Lucas then charged his blade fully and released a blast that took Victor's head completely off. At this point, Lucas fell with relief.
Zarz had lured the assailant to run through the tents after himself, Ponto and Rael. Rael and Ponto had hidden away so Ponto could finish healing Rael. Zarz ran as the assailant was firing airbombs at Zarz. Zarz was at a disadvantage for not having his book, but was still able to use magic at a lower degree. Zarz created flames that surrounded his body as a shield and began firing fire balls at the tents from it. Seconds later the camp was being burnt in flames. The assailant could no longer see Zarz and had started working up his water magic to extinguish the flames. But Zarz had appeared within 15 feet through the fire, firing a ball of torch flames at his assailant. But a giant blade, the size of a truck, came down to block Zarz ball of torch. The blade was then raised up by a giant metal creature. The creature locked onto Zarz and hurled its blade down on Zarz. Zarz was frozen. But Rael dived head first with his mouth wide open. The blade was coming down on Rael in the fiery pits created by Zarz when Rael transformed into a cerberus. "Now that's a creature of legend" noted Zarz. Rael held the blade in his mouth and pulled it away from the beast. Zarz quickly turned his sights back onto his assailant who was now distracted by Rael's transformation. Zarz used the opportunity to instantly slice the assailant in half using a wind blade. Rael then told Zarz from his beastly form that the creature is a magic powered robot that is being controlled by somebody nearby. Zarz then took the duty of finding the puppet master who was controlling the giant robot. Zarz stared around without knowledge on where to find the puppet master when Ponto appeared saying "Follow me". Zarz had then began following Ponto to kill the puppet master.
Waateef was now carrying Lucas on his back when he had linked up with David, Vegron and Waateef in the armory. Vegron stated they were packing a few extra supplies and stealing a Coronian War Truck before they leave. Lucas second that, but noted they needed to get the other three. "Well let's hurry up. I don't want to be beaten like an orc again" said Kilkyl. "Wait" yelled Waateef. A herd of fear invaded the bodies of everybody in the armory. Waateef then spoke in a softer voice saying "Don is here".
Don and his men moved swiftly shooting down all Coronian forces. Don looked over and saw the cerberus biting off the head of a Coronian robot, not knowing it was Rael, and thus avoided conflicting with the beast. Don had his men fight and kill off every Coronian force in the camp while he was led by one of his orc companions towards Lucas and his men.
Zarz jumped on Rael's back with Ponto while Rael was still transformed in his cerberus form and began riding him to Lucas and the rest of the team. Once three had arrived at the armory, Vegron yelled "good news. We know where the guy is". Rael turned back into his elf form exhausted. Don noted that Katanga will lend a ship for transport as well. The team was mildly relieved. Neither David, Vegron, Rael, Waateef, nor Ponto actually wanted to finish the mission. But regardless, it was coming to an end.
