I wish could have stayed there forever under the dreamy night sky in Lucas's arms but the night was advancing further and the temperature was descending the degrees. Unwillingly or not we had to make it back.
We trudged down the hill. Lucas was holding my hand and was leading the way like before. While hiking down he would warn me to carefully pass through the spots with wet mud and vines. I wondered how he could see properly even in the immense darkness that seemed to be eternal in the dense forest at night. As for me all I could see was his tall silhouette and a few bushes around me.
Finally when we made it out of the forest, we found his car and stepped inside. It was comfortable inside as compared to the cold dark forest. He turned the keys in the ignition and switched on the heater.
