I showered carefully, preventing the water to get in contact with my wound as the doctor has advised. According to him, I didn't need stitches to close the wound as it had already begun healing and I surely didn't wish to do anything that would just open it again. It was difficult to wash my hairs that way when the bandage was so close to them. Somehow I managed to get my hairs done without wetting the cut. I then stepped out of the shower and wiped my face with a wet towel. I stared blankly at my reflection in the mirror. My tiresome eyes appeared dull like they could use a proper sleep. The wound on my head had started to swell up that it was visible around the edges of the bandage and the skin had purplish bruises around it. Apart from that I had a few scratches on my face which were so faint that someone had to take a closer look at my face to tell that they were present.
