I tried to get up from the ground and as I did, I realized that not only I got my head injured but I had also scraped my knees and palms when I tripped. The abrasions on my skin burnt with a stinging pain as I pulled myself up from the ground. A thin layer of skin on the insides of my palms was sliced into tiny shreds and small pieces of moss and fern leaves along with dirt stains stuck to my skin and on my clothes. I tired to brush off the debris and the dirt only to scrape my palms even more and now the blood begin oozing out of the light cuts.
"Don't do that." Finn stopped my hand which was brushing my jeans to get the dirt off. "You're only hurting yourself." He told me.
