Chereads / The Sword Saint's Trail / Chapter 59 - Divine Salad

Chapter 59 - Divine Salad

I slowly walked towards the house's front door. I wanted to ask Rind about the crops.

"I really want to eat a salad with them." I thought about the salad with them, my mouth was starting to drool by just thinking about it.

I didn't know why, but I was very attracted by it. I was surprised by it, but I didn't mind it that much; I just wanted to eat it.

The front door was in front of me; I then knocked at it lightly.

I then started waiting, after all, even high ranking psychos don't always move at FTL speeds all the time. And actually like walking slowly and exploring.

I then heard someone slowly walking towards the door. I knew that it was Rind, as only he lived in the house.

I then stood outside, and prepared myself. I wiped my drool and did my best to look casual and professional at the same time.

And then the door opened, and behind it was Rind. "Why did you come here?" He asked, "I thought I had told the lass to tell you to come at 1?" Rind was a little confused.

"Oh, it's not that. I just wanted to come to ask you something." I replied.

Rind was surprised it and then said, "Sure, what do you want to ask?"

"Well..." I was a little embarrassed to say it, but through sheer willpower I asked, "I really want to try a salad made from them," I pointed at the garden, "You don't have to give me if you don't want to, I just wanted to ask."

Rind then looked at me, he was very surprised and confused at the same time. Even he took a second to process what I had just said.

And just like I had expected, he started to laugh hysterically. If he was a normal person he would probably be choking due to how heavily he was laughing.

"Oh my god!" he finally calmed himself down, "You gave me good laugh kid!"

"And about your request, you can have it. I don't mind it. After all, I really wanted someone other than the Lad, and the Lad's mother trying them out." Rind answered.

I was very happy after hearing that, but I was a little confused about something, "Huh, if you wanted someone to try them out, why don't you give them to the villagers?" I asked.

"Oh, that's a good question, kid! You see, the villagers are too much of a pussy to even come near me! Let alone eat the fruits of my hard work!" Rind complained arrogantly, somehow.

"You know kid, once you're strong, everybody will start to be in awe when you go in front of them! Like kid, even Reins can come in front of me and I'll still call him a fucker, even though he is about hundred billion billion times stronger than me!" Rind complained arrogantly, again.

"What!? Is that really ok, isn't Lord Reins the Sword Lord? Won't that get your cursed?" I was actually scared to even call the Sword Lord by name.

There wasn't a lot of knowledge about the true lords, so many people think that even calling the lord names would warrant divine retribution. Which was something I believed, after all, with a true lord's permission you could get blessings very easily.

"Oh, I forgot. I didn't teach the lad how to bad mouth. Sorry, that was my mistake." Rind then apologized by bowing down a little - which surprised me, "Well, there is actually no problem calling even the true lords a motherfucker. Just like how you call me a psycho and a great bastard" Rind jabbed at me, "Plus, the lords are actually very chill. Except the magic lord, that crazy bastard can go fuck himself." Rind finished.

"Rind... do you know about the true lords?" I asked, very intrigued.

"Yes, I know about them. I have even trained with some of them, and also am friends with Reins the sword fucker." Rind then laughed as he bad mouthed the person who could take away his right to swordsmanship.

I then quickly remembered that I had something left do. "I don't have much time, so can you get something quickly?" I asked him.

"Sure. Actually do you want to get them right now?" he asked.

"Yeah, that would be better." I nodded.

"Ok then, here you go." Rind then snapped his finger and right in front of me a bowl of salad was floating in front of me, and on it's side were spoons.
