Chapter 48 - Meteor Shower

After finishing the magnificent, I and Emma thanked Osiric's mother for the meal, Dave also thanked her.

"Oh, don't worry about it. I am just happy that my son has got some friends. I was really worried about his social life, you know." said Osiric's mom.

Well, to be honest, there wasn't a lot of kids in this village. Also, there aren't a lot of schools - that's because the people in this world unconsciously do the calculations required for their skills and if they have any suspicions they would just ask the gods, or the magic lord would just make it himself.

I mean most of the inventions in this world was made my the magic lord, after all.

I mean there isn't any job out there that doesn't have a skill for it, and if there isn't the god of time would just make it for you.

Since, the god of time literally knows everything. Not due to his power, but because of how mind boggling skilled he is. I think in the church of time, it was stated that even if the god of time let go of his authority over time, there would be no difference in his power.

So, if he has the stats of a normal person, meaning having 10s in all the stats, he would still be one of the strongest god classers. Though, he would actually give up his immunity to the concept of death and destruction - so can get killed if he gives up his authority.

"Well mom you don't have to worry about me. I have made some good friends, after all." Osiric said to his mother.

Osiric's mother hearing it, smiled at him. She was really happy that her son had made new and good friends, after all, she could see how much trust they had for each other - though I didn't count Dave, since we didn't trust him as much as we trusted each other (which, to be fair was kind of unfair; I wouldn't even be scared to bet my life for Emma and Osiric, and they won't be afraid to do the same to me).

"Sorry mom, but we still have some training to do." Osiric apologized to his mother, he was a little sad. But his determination had overpowered it, so there was only a little hint of it - which I had managed to pick up.

I then sighed, "It's really going to be hard!"

"Oh, don't worry about it. If you enough determination you can do anything." Osiric's mother motivated me.

Hearing that, Emma who was silently complaining to herself shut up, and me as well.

I couldn't anything other than thank her.

I then told Dave that we were going to busy with training, he nodded and said that he was going to look around the village.

After doing that, I, Emma, and Osiric started going upstairs to Osiric's room. That's because Rind, himself, had said that he was going to do the entire training course in that room.

"After this, we don't have to do anything, right?" I asked Osiric.

"Yeah, I know Rind, he isn't that much of a bastard." Osiric said to me.

Emma quietly turned to her side and silently pumped her fists. Though, that silent was still audible to me and Osiric.

We didn't mind it that much, since stating that to Erica would probably sour our relation for a while. And making the healer mad is pretty suicidal, I have read and listened to so many rumours about an entire party getting wiped out because of them having problems with their healer.

"Ok... I have to real with you guys, I really really don't want to do it." Osiric said to us, a little tired.

"Yeah, if that was just the warm up, it still scares me how the true training is." I replied.

I had a rough idea, and it was pretty bad. Osiric had said that while training, he had to find Rind until he couldn't physically move, so we had to fight him until our entire body was near death.

It was a scary thought, "Emma, please don't heal us when are fighting Rind." I pleaded with her.

"Ok." she nodded, she replied because she was very afraid of fighting to death over and over again.

"So kids! Are ya' ready!!!" then Rind teleported into existence.

We all, hesitantly, nodded...

...

"So kids, this is the second one. Its pretty simple, you only have to run 10,000km." I then started to smile, since we only had to run for about an half an hour or so, "You have to run the distance for about 100 times, this will greatly increase your resistance stat and will also give you a lot of experience in your physical skills. Also, there are going to be meteors falling down upon you, so you also have to destroy them. You mana regeneration is now null, though your stamina regeneration is infinite, so you won't get tired at all."

Hearing that made me and Emma despair, while Osiric wasn't fazed by it. Probably since he has done the training over and over again - though, it was to a much lesser extent.

...

We were currently in a flat plane. The plane was pretty barren, I mean it only had the ground. The plane continued till infinity.

Though it was infinitely big, it just adds more to the front and does the opposite to the back. If I was to explain it simply, it was much like a game's render distant. Though it was massive - the plane was about 5,000km in diameter.

Though due to its flatness (?) we could see till its "end", it was pretty confusing, but to be fair, how the fuck I am supposed to understand an infinite dimensional force when I am just a 3rd dimensional being.

"Well kids! Start whenever you want! Don't worry about time, its stopped." Rind said to us through telepathy.

"Os, I have to ask you. If Rind is capable of stopping time, what is the true amount of time you have trained for?" I asked him.

"It's still 10 years, this is the first time Rind has stopped time for the training." Osiric replied.

I nodded, "Emma, we should probably fuse our auras, since there is no way in hell we are going to survive this if we don't do that." Emma, just like I had accepted, nodded. Though she still didn't talk to me.

The reason for us fusing our auras is because of how much boost it was going to provide us. And the reason we didn't use it at first was because, if we did so Rind would start throwing out swords that were going to move at 10 times the speed of light - yeah, Einstein's probably tearing his hair out hearing that.

They were going so fast that even I knew their trajectory I wasn't going to be able to dodge them.

We then started to release our aura, mine was a combination of fire, water, wind, and earth, Emma's was holy, and Osiric's was pure.

His pure aura literally started to break the space and time around him, since this world was similar to the one back home - meaning it didn't get the flow pumped into it

This just showed just how fucking broken the flow is, "Sorry, its really hard to control a divine aura in this space." Osiric then finally got a hold of his aura.

The thing he just did was probably impossible for us, controlling your aura, especially a divine one, was very hard due to how violent they were.

After that we started to fuse our aura together, due to Osiric's pure aura, my entire stats was doubled, Emma's made me have a continuous healing - which was pretty strong, about 10% of Emma's healing magic, and mine just made me have better control over my element.

With our aura, we were confident that we had finally broken into high F-rank, after all, we were pretty close to it after our class up.

"Let's go!" I said as we started running for our lives as 100 meteors started falling form the sky, thankfully, they were only 10m in diameter.

They weren't that strong, if I had to guess, it was probably 4 KT of TNT. Which wasn't much considering I could do thousands of time stronger that that, I could make an attack having 50 MT of TNT.

And with how much I can mess with the laws of physics, I could put every single bit of energy in it. Though, I was still a long time until I could use 100% of the mass as energy - probably 10-20 years, since I needed to be at least a grand saint classer.

Thinking about it logically, isn't that kinda dumb. I mean I could literally mess with the fabric of reality and you are telling me that I need to be as strong as an A-ranker to fully utilize 100% of the mass of an object!

Well, considering how broken the flow, I couldn't understand it. But due to its usefulness, I could overlook it.

"Os, why can't I use the 100% of the mass of an object?" I asked him.

"Really, Tyler, really?" Emma asked me, a little disappointment. I mean, we were about be hit by 100 meteors in just a moment. So to shut her up I immediately destroyed all the meteors and made a barrier using my own mana and the flow.

She then shut her mouth up, and I looked at her with a smug face.

"It's because of just how powerful it is. There was a time where we could use 100% of an object mass, but because of that many people couldn't control their powers; and like trillions upon trillions of people either died or just couldn't rank up. It was the same for monsters as well." Osiric replied.

I nodded and thanked him.

Right now I could use maybe about 0.8% of an object mass as raw energy. And it was hard to control that, so then, how can I control something that's more than 100 times stronger than that.

Well that just showed just how stupid I could get.
