When the clock on the desk beside her bed read 4:15, she heard the door to her room knocked again. Before she opened it, Gabby was already carrying a small black backpack.
Michael had been standing in front of Gabby's room. When the girl didn't show a sign to come out of her room soon, he looked at the painting not far from there.
Suddenly, when he was still focused on the painting in front of him, he felt someone hugging his waist from behind. Without having to look, Michael already knew that it was Gabby from the warmth of her body.
"Honey," Gabby tiptoed a little and then put her chin on Michael's shoulder. "You didn't do anything with Coach Henri, did you?"
"No," Michael replied, touching Gabby's hand.
He patted Gabby's hand, gesturing to release her hug. The boy turned around and stroked Gabby's cheek then moved his body away from her. He took Gabby's hand and led her into the elevator.
