As it seems, I was born a little after winter had ended and spring had started. My parents the Merlin's, decided to name me
「 Jamie Amethyst Merlin 」
I still remember how my old life went plus my adventures in becoming the me now, and honestly I am glad to have been reborn into this world. My parents seem to care for all their children and shower them with love along with the nannies making sure my siblings don't feel left out by the new family member taking their parents attention.
The life of Jamie Amethyst Merlin starts now!

After 5 years after living in this world I have found a few things out. There are a total of 6 nannies, 20 in house maids, 30 in house butlers, and what seems a never ending train of people working in the kitchen. Learning all their names seems to be the biggest task I've been trying to achieve along with exploring the whole house.
Another thing to note is that my Mother's job seems to have something to do with maintaining funds for a guild or company called 'The Lion's Roar' while my Father is an avid adventurer for the lion's roar. But the most important fact I learned about this world is that the people can use magic! My Father told my siblings that everyone has a core color related to their understanding of magic and how they can handle the magic around them. The progress of using this magic is a lot like the mana manipulation I saw in those isekai manga's from my original world. Since Father's teaching about magic my brother Marcus started studying magic along with sword training, trying to grow his core from Dark Red. There also seems like there are some talks about him becoming a Beast Tamer by essentially, taming his own animal companion.
Like my brother, my sister Luna, she seems to be a special case because she just started going to school although a few years ahead of her age group. Reason as to why is, it seems she has a knack for grasping different concepts including her understanding of magic seeming to be boundless. Another reason why she seems to have started life early is that unlike my brother Marcus my parents were pressured to test her early. Why this was shocking is because instead of waiting to test her at the age of six she was tested at the age of four. But the results of her test were just like Marcus' results. Both of their core tests showed them already in the peak stage of their Black cores along with both of them having boundless magic energy for their age.
As I learned this I found out that the core system starts from the lowest to highest colors by Black being the base for everyone with 3 tiers and a peak level. Next it would go to Red and the system changes from tiers to dark, solid, light, and peak. After Red it would then lead to Orange, Yellow, Silver, White, to the highest and rarest case Transparent. Reason why it is rare is because it seems that only five people in history have been able to get their cores to the Transparent realm.
Usually children start out in either tier one and in some cases, tier two after they get tested on their sixth birthday. Which means it is understandable when people started to call my sister and brother geniuses because of the fact their cores are significantly different from all the other children and their large pool of magic energy. Which led to people asking my parents to test me early but after my first birthday my parents finally got tired of people asking. Causing them officially announced that they'll wait to test me on my sixth birthday like all the other children. Silver lining is that the bombardment of questions finally started to decline though many people still try to persuade my parents to change their name whenever they can. Sometimes they try to question me on how I feel or if things started to act strange around me.
Another thing I learned about my family is that my Father tends to get so busy, that we rarely see him for days on end. Though on days my dad stays home he always makes us forget he was ever gone. Even when he leaves for days or months he would always come back to us no matter what. Sometimes even bring souvenirs from his travels, like new animals or rare minerals. After learning all that I finally was able piece together more things about this I didn't know. But it seems the task of exploring the whole house is about to be complete…
Well that was the case until my nanny Annie caught me leaving out the back door. I tryna sneak to the stables because unlike my siblings I haven't been able to see what kind of creatures lurk in them. While she was telling me that going outside without an adult is dangerous and that I should keep playing in the house, until my attention goes to my brother who conveniently walks in when I need him. After spotting him, I ask Annie if he will play with me around the house. She replied with a sigh and stood up to ask Marcus, "Young Master would you care to play with Miss Jamie?" After she asked him, he replied with "why not, I'm bored anyways" prompting Annie to be satisfied and started to leave before saying, "By the way, Miss Jamie is not allowed near the stables." She always seems to know what I'm thinking and ruins my fun. As we started to walk around the house, Marcus asked me if I wanted to see the stables, completely ignoring what Annie told him. I immediately smiled and shook my head signalling yes. He took my hand and walked us over to the back door before one of the maids cleaning a window nearby noticed us leaving.
She stopped him and said, "Miss Jamie is too young to visit the stables." Which made Marcus smirk and say, "What if we just visited the horse stables? There shouldn't be a problem if I take her there." For a moment the maid seemed to contemplate his words. Though it seems Marcus already knew her answer because before she could answer he said, "I'll take your silence as a yes and if we get caught, I'll just say we left on our own accord." It seems this wasn't his first time using this excuse to do what he wants.
As we made our way out the door, Marcus started to tell me about all the different kinds of stables we have. Seems that we actually own a few dozen stables full of different animals, ranging from horses to lizards to big birds and other creatures that I couldn't even pronounce. Though when we started to get closer to the horses stables, they seemed to look normal enough until you got closer that is. When I saw them I had to do a double take because some of them had metallic fur, while others had horns and the strangest one of them all had a constantly changing pallet of colors.
As strange and new as all the other horses seemed around me the horse at the very end of the stable was the one that caught my attention. That horse seemed to change color so seamlessly that I felt so memorized by it, and everything else seemed to drown out. As Marcus was explaining what each horse was he noticed I stopped walking and started to chuckle. He looked towards the horse and pointed then said, "You wanna have a closer look at him?" As he said that, it snapped me out of my daze. After realizing what he said I shook my head violently until I could find my voice again with a croaked "yEs". He took out his hand and said, "Well then come on" as he said that I ran over to him, grabbed his hand, and started pulling him towards this strange but memorizing creature. While doing that we both started laughing and made our way to him before he said, "Okay, okay, slow down Jamie. He isn't gonna go anywhere haha".
With every step closer I felt like if I didn't keep my eye on the horse it would disappear from my view, so as silly as it sounds I wanted to get near the horse as fast as I can. As we veer closer Marcus seemed to have grabbed some white cubes from a bucket and handed some to me as we finally stopped in front of this ever changing beauty. Even up close my eyes still can't believe how he can change colors seamlessly but what surprised me the most was his eyes. The color of his eyes were midnight blue with grey and silvery dots. Then I realized his eyes looked like the night sky! This creature must be a magical beast that is portrayed as important to the isekai plotline! As I thought that, the horse leaned forward and all my thoughts cease to exist.
His eyes memorized me even more than his coat. I snapped out of his trace when I felt him nudged my hand. I looked towards Marcus confused on why he was doing this. He smirked and said he wants the sugar cubes in my hand. I totally forget I was holding on to these little white cubes. I opened my palm and raised it closer to the horses mouth. While he ate the sugar cubes, I decided to test my luck on trying to pet this magical being. I slowly raised my hand to his face before I could pet him he lifted his head back up. It seems I missed my opportunity to pet him before to ate all the sugar cubes. I looked to my brother and asked "What's his name? and why does his eyes look like the night sky?" after thinking for a moment he looked at the horse and petted his hair seemingly trying to come up with a story.
He started to speak to me while still looking at the horse, "The name of this horse is Capriccioso and the reason behind his name is because of his ever changing colors." After saying that, he finally looked away from him and started to describe everything about him that he learned from Father. "Dad told me that though Capri's fur constantly changes colors, the one that thing that doesn't change is his eyes." As he said that I looked into Capri's eyes again and realized that he wasn't lying. His eyes that remind me of the night sky was actually the night sky! Though I do wonder why his eyes don't change though. If his coat can change as will can't he do the same with his eyes?
As we both stared into Capri's eyes it seemed like my brother read my mind and asked, "Wanna know why his eyes never change?" I nodded furiously, genuinely wanting to know why it looked so much like the night sky.
He smiled then continued with his story, "The reason why Capri's eyes look like that is when a baby horse, also known as a foal is born, the minute they open their eyes whatever the sky looks like is reflecting back into their eyes. Forever sealing that moment in their eyes. Though horses aren't the only creatures who do that, they are the most commonly known."
While he was finishing up what he was saying, he looked back at Capri but this time fed him a little sugar cube. But before I could ask him if I could feed him again too, I heard a little snort from Capri capturing my entire attention. I looked back at Capri and realized he had lowered his head to me as if asking me to pet him. It seems he trusts me more now after hearing his story.
I looked back and forth between Capri and Marcus. Only for Marcus to push me forward saying, "It's okay, he's a gentle creature and he also is giving you permission to pet him. Go ahead, he won't bite." Though Capri is indeed beautiful, I am still in a body of a child and such a big creature is kinda frightening. But having Marcus here supporting me, I feel like I can do anything. As I reached out to pet him again, my fear slowly started to fade away into nothing and then be replaced with awe. Petting him I realized how soft his fur is and how silky his hair felt.
