"I wanted to wait for openning of the Eclipse Gate. Then I would ask our ancestor for help us to convince dad."

Layla's tone was curious, but in fact that was sarcasm used to make daughter think a bit about her actions.
"Likely shocked in a good case or betrayed in a worst case... Oh god! You're right! What was I thinking? I'm so sorry."
"Nothing has happened yet, but remember to consider his feelings. Jude is person that hides his feelings from others and himself. Sadness, frustrations, worries and even love and because of that sometimes he's trying to find security in making fortune. His feelings ignored would be a serious problem in the future and that can mess your relations with him. We're going to Jude's office. I don't know If he will believe you, but he may believe me."
"In the office Jude have been sitting behind his desk writting something. Room was huge and was filled with splendour of books, sculptures, plants, leather covered furnitures and red carpet. A lot of things proudly served as decorations. That was office of rich man and monument of way of his life."

"It has something to do with me being mage."
"You know that I don't know much about magic. I can't help much here."
"I didn't come here for advice about magic stuffs. It's about Lucy. Lucy somehow has knowledge going insanely beyond her age. She knows... certain future."

"She told me something important about Heartfilias duties given us by ancestors she couldn't knew."
"Is that true?"
"Yes, father. The most important thing about Heartifilias is that 400 years ago our ancestor gave us mission to unseal warriors which will defeat Acnologia."
"Jude was shocked. Layla never told him that Heartfilia family is so important."
"Why I didn't know about that?"
"Because Lucy gained that knowledge today with knowledge about the future. Ancestors didn't told me either."
"Did you thought about possibility of her lying? You know power of children's imagination."
"Yes, but her story is way too complicated for something like that. And she's eight. In that age children know that their lies don't work that easily. Her story includes being in the most powerfull mages guild in Ishgar, my ex-servant killing my other ex-servant and turning evil, numerous adventures and a lot of friends, my death, existence of Zeref's empire in Alakitasia, your bankrutpcy..."
'A lot of ridiculous things!'
"Bankruptcy? Why would I go bankrupt?"
"Lucy?"
Only Lucy would has that information.
"I don't excactly know. You never told me about, what causes your bankruptcy. By speculating, I think you did some risky investments or tried to expand company on too many industries, or... simply spend too much money for something not so productive as services of the Phantom Lord Guild to kidnap me after I escaped from home. In general Heartfilia Railways was famous business."
"Lucy, I really tried to kidnap you?"
Jude was a bit shocked about hearing this. What would happen with him in the future?
"Yes and no. In other timeline Jude tried even to force me to marriage, but you didn't. We can't blame you for something you never did. However I cannot lie that I'm not afraid this will happen again. After death of Layla our relationship became so messed. I'm sorry, but I don't know that much."
"Let's put that aside. Mom's life is just too precious. Layla, why did you die in that... alternative future?"
"Then I used too much my magic power to unseal wariors because I lacked power of one powerfull Celestial Spirit, which I gave to Grammi and tried to do this myself. Actually I'm preparing to fix that and contact with Grammi and Lucy wants to train to become strong enought to be able to help."
"If I knew..."
"It's that me fault that I wasn't seeking for help. I noticed that even thought we are loving family, we don't talk much about our problems. We need to change that."
"Definitely. So let's say I believe you. Tell me the rest of the story."

"So your friend from the other timeline is brother of Zeref, boy that was raised by the dragon and potentially the strongest demon in one person. Yeah... that's ridiculous! In general all of that is so ridiculous! It's ridicilous! Your story includes even three timetravels! However if Layla believe you, I believie you too. And I have to say I'm not very pleased that you're not interested in Heartfilia Konzern, because if we manage to expand family business our family can even sponsor little private army."

That way Layla noted bad direction of the conversation.
"But this is your life. I'm going to respect this fact. My company makes no sense if it's obstacle to our happy life and you certainly aren't happy about dedicating your life to the company. Heartfilia Konzern can only lose on trying to force you. Do what you want. If one day you become interested in matters of running family business, this road will be still open."
'We wouldn't expect more. Freedom is enought.'
"What are you going to do now?"
"I want to find some books about art of enchantment. Even if learning it won't improve my Celestial Spirit Magic I would buff mother's Celestial Spirits, me, my weapons, my friends or just my mother so opening of Eclipse Gate would be not that taxing."
"Layla, do you know any enchanter that would like to teach our Lucy?"
"Yes, I can recommend somebody, but I don't know any enchanter which is insanely strong or even really strong. Enchanters are rather selftaught. Lucy told us about Wendy and Irene, but Irene is a dragon and has 400 years of experience and Wendy is dragon slayer. Lucy, why did you thoght about enchantment?"
"I don't know much about that magic but enchatment's effects are rather simple and have great potential. In general most kinds of magic are about converting non-type magic power to one of types of magic power or one type of magic power into other. Enchantment is definitely unlike them because it's about giving magic to objects and taking magic from objects. Kind of magic power doesn't look like a problem. In fact as Celestial Spirit Mage I even created spell similar to enchantment."
"Seems to be a reason. Layla, can you buy books about enchantment for our Lucy? Later we'll talk about looking for teacher. I don't know much about magic stuff, but I can help this much if it's only about money."
