The boy sat there alone, staring at the stars. He wondered if they were real or deception like the Librarian who treated him as her own but then disappeared, leaving him to rot. She left a note and a book which the boy wanted nothing to do with, so they were left untouched.
The boy lost every one that he cared about in an car accident on his 12th birthday, and he also lost half of himself. He was assigned a number and then was sent to the orphanage. Bedridden, he lay there with an expressionless face. He noticed that there was a woman who would leave a book on his table by the side of his bed. She would come every week and replace it with another. The boy finally decided to read one of her books and was amazed at the story it held. Week by week they grew closer as the boy would beg her to read to him or ask for more books. One day the woman asked the boy "there is a magical place filled with books and other unique things but you can't stay there forever. Well… there is one way, little one, do you want to become a Librarian?"
Pushed in his wheelchair, they entered the small library, which suddenly became giant as he looked inside. Looking up, his eyes widen, "Madame, is that what I saw in the books?". " Yes, they are stars my child, and you may call me Lucy. I haven't thought of your name yet. Give me some time and I'll make a good one for you."
