Leila had known Lord Stourton since she was at the young age of sixteen.
Her father had often invited him for tea, and unlike her sister who was chasing the town's male witches (and humans) and her brother who was much more comfortable in his private space, Leila was closest with their father.
At least, that's what she was thinking then. Since she was always at her father's beck and call, she had already given herself the role of being his favourite child.
Therefore, she was always there when Lord Stourton would come and visit. She was the one who would serve the tea, as she listened to their conversations on the recent witch hunt in another town, and running the leadership of Rowtuck with humans still around.
One time, he thanked her and told her that her cake was quite a treat.
And that was when she fell for the man, who already had a family.
