General PoV:
It was the beginning of the fall season and as summer waned, the vibrant greens of trees subtly began to transform into a kaleidoscope of warm hues.
Splashes of red, yellow, and orange splashed and painted the foliage, creating a spectacle worthy of mother nature's grace.
It was September. Along with the start of the new academic year, students from all across the globe were excited to attend their first year at universities. Especially students accepted into prestigious universities; Stepping onto the prestigious campus with its rich history, a surge of joy and pride envelops them as the prospect of learning and growth colors their future expectations and evokes within them a sense of accomplishment. The future ahead seemed as bright as the stars.
Well that was the case for most students, except for a special few who have already seen it all -- or so they pretend -- with their illustrious backgrounds and family histories, they seem to exude both a sense of arrogance and aloofness.
This scene was present in most prestigious universities. Just the same was occuring over at Xavier University in London, the heart of England.
Among the bustling crowd, as new students mingled with their seniors, walked a unique pair.
As they walked they exuded an aura of aloofness lacking arrogance. Their demeanour reserved, as they observed their surroundings as if watching a show. They carry with them an air of absolute confidence lending them an intriguing allure and making a spectacle in the crowd. Detached, yet still their presence could not be ignored.
Obviously the aforementioned people were Ash and Daevion. They had resolved their conflict by now; More like their battle had ended in a devestating defeat for the latter. Forced into a slave contract without the right to argue over the overbearing conditions.
Nevertheless, with the differences between them set aside, a few changes occured to their relation other than the obvious Master-Slave relationship that they have established. First off, Daevion was now Ash's sparring partner Numero Uno. As Ash worked on not only getting used to combat along with the constant advice Daevion was forced to give after every spar they had in the mountains. After every spar not only would Ash get slightly stronger but he would also simultaneously work on expanding his arsenal by creating more useful spells for all kinds of different situations he would face, as well as obviously learning more jutsus along the way, making his repertoire significantly larger than ever before.
Obviously to avoid being detected by muggl* - normal humans, Ash would set up an illusion formation along their pre-set sparring field.
Needless to say, the match up was completely unfair; pitting a person with over 50 years of combat experience against an amateur. Thus, obviously Ash was slammed in every match, even when he tried to cheat and rely on the system it was still an impossible task. Daevion was like an overwhelming boulder that Ash could not ascend.
With the limited time they had before university began -- 2 days to be exact, skipping the inauguration day -- they couldn't accomplish much more. Ash obviously didnt neglect training his chakra during the time and learning useful ninjutsus as well as a form of genjutsu he could use with his eyes.
He had made a promise to himself to learn how to be less dependent on the system for various reasons and he planned to stick to it.
As for the purpose they were attending university in the first place. Perhaps that was a hidden urge/need that Ash still has implanted in his subconscious from the time he was human. Yes that was a long time ago, but to him he had barely lived through anything other than cultivation during his time in this new world, and he still had many unfulfilled wishes and dreams that he carried over with him from his time as a human, and so, it was more for the experience than any immediate benefit.
As they both made their made their way to the lecture hall and sat down for their first class of an English Course. Ash contemplated his plans for the foreseeable future.
To get out of his dilemma -- as previously stated -- he had to reach the transcendent realm, no matter the form of power; and with his above average talent and heavenly cultivation technique that should be an easy enough task albeit rather time consuming.
No matter, the goal he had set was to reach the realm of transcendence within a span of 25 to a 100 years as an absolute worst case scenario.
Obviously, he planned to spend no more than a couple of weeks here on earth, for several purposes. First of was a form of vacation from the fast paced life that he had lived in the past whatever... time started to mean less and less to him as both his lifespan was infinite for all he could comprehend, and he started to mess with time dilation*. Next was just giving himself a grace period to increase his overall strength and set out more difinitive and carved out plans that he would follow for at least the following couple of years.
Things he also took into consideration was the Game that he had set up which would be in play during his life in the mortal realm. He was considering interacting with the different chosen ones spread out across the universe.
Meanwhile, Ash also made sure to consider the best ways to suck out the maximum value from Daevion, which was basically a walking treasure trove to Ash.

Unfortunately in this case, the popular quote had to be altered or perhaps reversed.
"Man proposes God disposes" would become in this case the opposite : God proposes man disposes.
As in whatever plans Ash had just set out were about to be completely wrecked and thrown out of the window as he adapts to the chaos that is about to ensue.
Dark plans were brewing subtly in the background. Some of which would directly affect the surroundings.Another, much more sinister grows silently, as a volcano broods in ominous silence, a dormant force biding its time. Beneath the surface of calmness, fiery intensity simmers, and the slumbering giant, awaits its moment to lash out. A powerhouse, which aims to transform universal tranquility into a symphony of chaos

A/N : And with that people, the prologue of this volume comes to an end, with a rather dark undertone and ominous undertone if I do say so myself.
First * : muggl / completion of the word : muggles(for plural) a term coined by author J.K Rowling in the popular series "Harry Potter" basically referring to normal people unaware of the presence of magic - if you didnt get this reference you should definitely brush up on your culture lol, would definitely recommend the series lol or the movies if you want
Second * : this is basically my way of saying idk whatever the hell amount of time has passed in this universe and how much time Ash has lived lol if anyone -- of the extreme re-readers or die hard fans, if this novel has any -- knows lemme know lol I appreciate yall
