Chapter 1 - Death

The crowds cheered on as the music faded to silence. Each of the lightsticks seems to dim as the stage lights brighten up. The crowd looks up with eager curiosity at the stage.

On the stage seven young girls wave giddily at the crowds. Each of them in gaudy outfits with their own signature colors. They bowed down in unison.

"Star Sisters! Star Sisters! Star Sisters!" The crowd chanted at the girlgroup.

The leader, the tallest girl dressed in red, walks up toward the microphone and smiles sweetly at the crowd, "Hello! It's your lovely leader Risako! We have an announcement for you starlings!" Her expression changed from one of  happiness to one of melancholy. She looks back at the group and returns her gaze to the crowd. She whimpered slightly and looked down and rushed to wipe her tears that were rapidly forming in her eyes. The crowd looks at her with worries.

A teenager in a yellow suit walks behind Risako and gently pats her back. She takes the microphone from the leader and smiles sincerely at the tall girl. The teenager in yellow stood straight and nodded at the crowd.

"I, Kimura Sayuri, have unfortunate news to share with you starlings."

She sighed when she looked up and saw herself on the big screen on top of the stage. Her hands clenched tightly on the microphone. Her posture was stiff and she looked back at the fans with a grim look on her face.

"As you all may know, there have been repeated contacts made toward the agency that seems to have threatened me and my closest friends. So to further protect them, we mutually agree that I should be dropped from the group."

An overwhelming wave of protest from the crowd cried out.

She trembled and smiled with tears in her eyes, "I am forever grateful for the wonderful support from you and my fellow members through this hard time! I shall never forget the memories we both have created from the past three years. And I hope you all should continue to support Star Sisters and that Star Sisters will grow big, even if I am not there in person! I apologize for all the trouble and I sincerely hope to see you all once again!"

She kneel to the floor and bow and grinned fiercely as she backed up and proudly let her tears flow.

The six other girls all ran toward Kimura and eloped her in a huge group hug and cried out words of gratitude toward each other. Kimura looks up at the group and laughs freely as she lets herself be hugged.

The gruff bearded man looked back at the young woman smoking a cigarette. He raised his eyebrows and huffed out.

"Should we really do it? It seems too soon to finish the job." He scratched his beard.

The woman rolled her eyes and flick her gray hair, "It gets us good money."

The mustache twitched and he looked down at the stage, "Seems awfully cruel, she's only 17 years old, is she not?"

The woman groaned and turned her back toward him, "It's her fated death anyway. No matter what, she was always going to die at this age. We are only speeding up the process."

The man snapped his head toward the woman, questioning her motives.

"Fated death?"

"You know Mr.Grimm, his quirks allowed him to see how much life they should be able to live. It doesn't say when they die, but rather the perfect time for them to die. She should die in a 3 month time, we are only here to finish it up early." She huffed out and dropped the cigarettes on to the ground, digging her heels on to it.

"But then it won't be perfect timing?"

"Ugh! Does it even matter? Grimm doesn't care for anyone and it's not like he'd lecture us on this. He been giving out these type of assignments for a long time for his boss."

The man tapped his finger on his chin, "I guess you are right."

"Of course I am, now follow me. They all think I am part of the backstage crew, which should give us easy access to her."

.

.

.

"Sayuri, we are going to miss you! I think I'd cry if I see anything yellow for a while!" The girl dressed in a pink dress whined as she clings to Kimura's sleeve.

"Aw Hiromi! Let her go,  you're suffocating her!"

Kimura chuckled and waved her off, "It's alright Chuya, I don't mind at all."

Chuya scowled, "It's so fucked up! My mother said the agency will replace you with someone."

"Well, you do need a yellow in the group, I mean you are blue, Hiromi is Pink, Risako is red, Gina is green, Kagami is purple, and Mamiko is orange. It's all part of our concepts."

"Well it's still fucked up that she says crap like that. She says it as if you are easily replaceable. She doesn't even care that we all knew each other since we were kids! What if it happens!"

Mamiko hits Chuya in the head and gives a pointed glare before turning to Kimura and hugging her tightly, "Don't listen to Chuya, I'm sure the agency wouldn't dream of replacing you. And even if they did, we'd protest against it."

"Yeah! I think I'd leave if it comes to that!" Hiromi pouted.

"Abso-fucking-lutly, I'd leave too!"

Mamiko sighed fondly.

Kagami stayed eerily silent and Gina grinned supportingly.

"Now, now. All of you calm down. The agency is incredibly loyal to us all, there is no way it would happen. Kimura Sayuri, I wish you the best." Risako shooked Kimura's hand.

"But it still bullshit that we can't contact Sayuri after this?" Chuya asked.

"Oh yeah, that's complete bullcrap. Nothing can separate us." The leader nodded as if it was a fact.

Kagami eyes darken further at the sight of the group. Seeing that no one bothered to notice her, she decided to grab her bag and leave. She really did felt uncomfortable around that room, her quirk going haywire on her. Her hair stood at the back on her neck as she left the room and speed walked past two people.

The group all cheered up and Kimura laughed.

But uneasiness settled in her. Not contacting her only friends? That was a horrible punishment on her, she never wanted it to come this far.

The threat had been unexpected. As far as she and her family knows, they had done nothing to deserve the wrath of anyone. Kimura wasn't even the most or least popular member among the group, in fact she is usually entirely average in her group.

The threat on her life had only started six months ago with a letter predicting her death at the next concert. Out of fear she was unable to perform. She still loves her job dearly and tried to continue.

More threats had been made of her life, the agency found themselves tied up. It got to the point where threats were made on other members unless they kicked her out of the group.

And so it was agreed that she must be pulled from the group.

It devastated her that she wasn't allowed to ever show any connection with the agency or the group and individuals that work under it. But it is what it is.

After a few hours, each member had left. She was left alone in the room, wanting to take in her last chance on this lifestyle. She walked around, sliding her hands on the walls and looking at the gifts that overflowed the box in the corner of the room.

She took a stuffed teddy bear and walked to the couch where she wept into the teddy bear's fur.

The door creaked and she did not look up, thinking it was her tired mother.

Her mother had been single all her life and worked hard to support her eldest daughter's dream of being a pop singer. The shame she felt that she had wasted her mother and her relative's time and energy. Her father would be so disappointed in her from beyond the grave.

"I'm sorry kiddo." a raspy gruff voice spoke over her quiet sniffle.

She looked up with confusion and quickly threw herself from the couch to the floor when she saw the gun pointed at her. She looked up between the huge bearded man and the beautiful gray-haired female.

And she knew instantly what was going to happen. The presence of death draped on her soul.

"Why? Why now? Why did it have to be me?" Her voice trembled.

"Why not? You were meant to die anyway. Our client Leon, was tired of you getting in his daughter's way." The women smirked.

"But I haven't done anything to stop anyone?"

"In your eyes, you have not. But in Nanami's eyes, you stole everything from her."

"Who is Nanami?" She asked, her pitch going higher out of pure panic.

The man faltered, "You don't know her? She is Leon's daughter. Have you not met her?"

"I have not! The only other Nanami I knew was an old friend."

The bearded man hesitated.

The woman sighed and took the gun from the man and pulled the trigger.

Kimura's body fell sideways as she grasped at her neck where the bullet had hit.

"Wait- wait! She didn't even know what she did!"

"Oh Ricardo, you and your soft spot for young girls. So what if she doesn't know."

The man looked nervously between the lady and Kimura.

Kimura groaned and reached her left hand toward the two, her other one still grasping at her neck. The two adults did nothing but stare at her in silence.

She whimpered and groaned at the pain, her head was pounding.

"Mom. I'm so sorry. I was a useless child after all." She cried out as her vision blurred from tears and her last words gurgled from the blood in her throat.

She tried her hardest to keep her eyes open but it was useless.

Unbeknownst to her, she had decided to activate her quirk in her final moments.

.

.

.

"I feel so cold, I can't breath." Kimura gasped for air.

Vision seems to move rapidly in her eyes.

"Where am I, everything hurts. I can't move at all."

"Am I supposed to die now?" Another voice asked. A deeper voice than hers.

"Who are you?"

"Who am I? Who are you? Why are you in my head?"

"I'm Kimura Sayuri. I don't know. Are you dead as well?"

The voice pause, taking in the information.

"Dead? I might as well be. None of these damn heroes are doing anything."

"Oh, I believe I'm already dead. You still have a chance I think."

"I'd never admit this, but I can't keep going on. I can't escape. I don't want to die yet." The voice held an exhausted tone.

Kimura felt a sense of a protection nature in her for this mysterious owner of the voice in her mind.

"I'll take over for you, you won't feel anything if I do. Let me take your host body." She begged.

There was a moment of silence. Kimura grew frantic.

"Alright. I'll let you into my body."

"Thank you."

Blinking was hard for her but she can clearly see the crowd of heroes and concerned citizens. How sad and pathetic the heroes decided to watch a kid die in front of them. Nonetheless she didn't mind the excruciating pain. She was already dead, this will pass by soon. The boy won't have to witness his lifeline leave him.

Still she can't help but still feel fear. The host's emotion was probably still seeping through. She looked down and made eye contact with a boy with dark green hair. The green hair boy froze for a slight moment before pushing the crowd and running toward them.

"Get back here, you fool! Stop!" The hero yelled at the boy dashing toward them.

Kimura can't help but be impressed. Though the host didn't feel the same way.

The green-haired boy threw his backpack at the villain and tried to tear the slime away.

"Kacchan!!"

And suddenly Kimura was pulled back into darkness with a projection shining brightly in front of her.

"Host? What are you doing?" She tried to regain control of the body but only found herself in a dark pitch black room with a bright screen in front of her. On the screen, it played out the host's vision and what they were hearing.

She could see the green slime wrapped around the host's face with a young freckles boy trying to pull it away.

"You! Why?" The host gasped out.

"My leg just started moving. I don't know!"

Kimura tried to gain control of this Kacchan person once again, but he wasn't letting her back in. She had to just watch whatever the host was seeing and doing.

"You...You looked like you needed saving!" The freckled boy cried as he continued to push the slime away from the host's face.

"DETROIT SMASH!"

And it was all over. All Might had arrived to finally save the host.

At that moment both Kimura and the host keep switching for control of the body. They never spoke a word toward the heroes but rather listened to each other's voices in their head.

"Thanks for trying to deal with it for me. If you really exist." He whispered to Kimura, staring blankly at the scene where several slime bits were everywhere as the clean-uo crew tried their best to collect them.

"I do exist. I must have accidentally permanently used my quirk on you moments before my body died."

"What is the quirk?"

"Possession, I can gain consciousness and  control in a body as long as I get permission from the host."

He hummed in consideration.

"So you can't leave?"

"I'm afraid not. Not until I find another host willing to give me their body."

"Drat. You won't get in my way on becoming the number one hero will you?"

"No, I won't. I can amplify any part of you for five minute every 5 hours though. Whether it be your strength, healing, or your quirk."

"That is useful. I'm Bakugou Katsuki in case someone calls for me once I dipped out." He look down and pick up a rock, throwing it up and down as he walked away from the scene.

"Of course. Nice to meet you Bakugou. Call me Kimura."

Kimura lets Bakugou gain full control of his own body and she watches from the room staring at the projection.

"Hey Deku!"

Kimura watches as the boy turns toward Bakugou in the projection.

"Don't be harsh on the boy, he seems decent."

He instead twitched and grumbled, "I never ask you to save me! As if you could! Huh? I could've beaten him myself."

"Bakugou." Kimura stared at the screen, her eyebrows narrowing.

He didn't listen to Kimura's voice and continued on, "How dare a quirkless failure like you pity me. Tryin to win me over?! Don't you dare mock me!"

And with  that he turns away and walks off.

"Oh Bakugou, must you be like this?"

He did not reply and for some odd reason, Kimura was completely fine with that.

There was not much she could say after that.
