I woke up in the same room I first woke up in. Except this time, there were a pair of eyes staring at me when I woke up. Startled, I quickly pulled myself to the corner of the bed.
"W-who are you?!?" I yelled. The girl rushed to stand up and bow.
"It is my fault miss! I was only waiting for you to wake up! I should have never left your side! Please punish me!" She said rushed yet so naturally, as if it were practiced. My eyes squinted as I stared at her.
"B-Bella?" I said slowly. She looked up at me with a pitiful expression.
"Yes miss?" She said immediately. So it really was her..
In the show, Bella was a maid to the main female lead.. wait a moment. I covered my mouth before staring at her. I pointed a finger shakily at her.
"You!" I started, but before I could finish, she quickly bowed again.
"I'm sorry Miss! This will never happen again! Please be merciful!" She exclaimed once more. I quickly put my finger away and removed my hand from over my mouth.
She must have assumed I was angry. I sighed deeply before calming down.
"Bella, I would like to rest for a bit, could you please guard the doors?" I asked her softly, my demeanor shifting. She looked up at me bewildered but quickly corrected her expression. She bowed once more.
"Yes Miss! Please rest well!" She said. I nodding before waving at her to leave. She quickly ran to the door and exited. I laid back down and stared at the ceiling, I was completely numb, I didn't know how to react. Processing all the information, I suddenly thought back to before I ran out of the house, Bella..
Was I the main female lead???!? I wanted to cry.
The main female lead always faced the most near death experiences and always was caught up in love triangles. I wanted nothing of the sort!! I then thought back to what happened on the street. I carefully touched my shoulder.
There was nothing that I could feel there, was it simply just a rock?
"But a rock wouldn't hurt that bad.." I thought to myself, remembering the agonizing feeling it felt like when I got hit by it. I sat up slowly and walked over the the rose mirror. Staring it it, I saw a small symbol drawn just below my collar bone.
"Wings?" I said softly. I then noticed something. The symbol wasn't made darker to my already darkened skin tone, but was a brighter color. Almost a pure white. It looked more of a tattoo than an injury. On top of that, it no longer hurt. So what exactly was is?
I sighed and sat back down on the bed. The biggest question I had for myself:
How do I get out of here????
I sat in silence before laying back in bed. Just as I was about to sleep, I heard loud shouting from outside.
"I am her mother! Let me in!" The voice yelled. I squinted as a frown made its way onto my face. Quickly I stood up and opened the door.
"But madam, Eva is-" before Bella could finish, my mother raised a hand and was about to hit her.
Quickly, I hit my mom's arm away. Her hand fell back to her side as she looked at me shocked.
"Eva! How dare you block her! This mere servant has always been disobedient! It is time I punish her properly!" She yelled. "Maids!" I watch as her hand maids made their way towards Bella I quickly stood in front of her. Coldly, I glared at the apposing side.
"Take another step forward. I dare you." I hissed. My mom glared at me. But little did she know, this expression I had seen to many times from her to count, her anger was no longer intimidating. Just then, I remembered something. I pulled Bella to stand behind me as I spoke.
"Mother, I will be leaving tomorrow morning for good. Bella will be following me." I said strongly. Her faces turned sour as she stared at me in shock. She smirked.
"To where? Without be you would be living on the streets! Stop causing trouble and hand the maid over!" She scolded again. Everyone went silent. I looked at her with a small grin. Yet my expression remained cold.
"To the royal palace of course. I will become a lady in training." I responded.
