Chereads / A Slime in MCU / Chapter 7 - New Body

Chapter 7 - New Body

It was 9 in morning. Jumping from roof to roof, one could see a cat so white, one could call it celestial. Celestial white, just like my slime body. From roof to roof of buildings and store and stalls set up by the road, I made my way to the less busy roads, hoping to find some criminal activities taking place. No one noticed me as I had my presence completely erased, so none would bother me.

I kept running round town for the next 4 hours, not only looking for a dying human, but also mapping out all the streets, stores, and stalls. That might come in handy.

Four hours of running around payed off. I chanced upon an intense scuffle occurring in the fringes of the slum area. There were quite a few spectators, watching a young man in a bandana scarf being kicked all around by 6 burly figures.

From what I could gather from listening to the murmurs from the spectators and the curses of the burly figures, the man being kicked robbed the last valuable left from an ill mother caring for her daughter.

Apparently, the guy sold the gold necklace which the mother kept for her daughter's dowry to clear his gambling debts. He still didn't clear them all up, and when this matter was found out, the debt collectors and some neighbours dragged his drunken ass out to the street away from the sights of the police and started beating him up.

After about 20 minutes of drama, the scene started to clear out, and the debt collectors dragged his body to a secluded corner, giving him a last warning.

Whether it was lucky or unlucky that he was drunk, the beating finally drew his last breath. The collectors didn't notice this and went back. But I noticed.

Making sure no one was around, I jumped down from a roof nearby and transformed by into a slime and wrapped myself around him.

It felt weird, weirder that usual, since this was my first time devouring a human. I mean I once was a human, and I still consider myself as a human, even though I reincarnated as a slime. But I threw that thought to the back of my head, and devoured him by telling myself, at least in death he could be of some use.

It took just a moment to analyse the body and I tried to use mimic.

It worked.

I could finally see like I used to, and not with like some weird curved mirror vision from my animal eyes.

I looked down at my arms and my legs. Five fingers on each hand, five toes of each leg, and yesssss, I kept the dangly bit between there.

It wasn't until then that I remembered that I was naked. I willed to make spider silk thread from my fingertips with and manipulated to turn them into a pair of undergarments and pants and a robe, similar to the Ancient One, only pure white. My silk threads were all white, but they had all kinds of resistances that I had on my body, such as thermal fluctuation resistance, meaning it kept me warm in winter and cool in summer, and magic/energy resistance. Only problem with those being I didn't need them. But oh well, it looked good.

I made my way back to my room in Kamar-Taj and looked at the mirror. I was stunned.

My face held a few similarities to my old face, but more handsome. I had shoulder length shiny white hair, sanguine eyes and a healthy olive coloured skin. For a moment I thought I would look like an albino, but the skin helped with that. My features looked like a mix of the traditional eastern and the European with a hint to Indian to it. Eyes sharp like a phoenix, straight lightly shaded eyebrows, straight nose, angled rosy pinkish lips. I had three one-inch wide band like tattoos around my neck, their openings near my Adam's apple and turning downwards and spreading on my body. I didn't notice before, but I had a complete band on my wrists and my ankles connected. All black, like the darkness of the abyss.

"Hey Great Sage, what are those tattoos on my body?" I ask.

[Black band like structures seen on the skin of the body seems to be part of the seal placed upon the celestial body part in the Cave. Those markings are there to limit the aura of the celestial from leaking out.]

That explanation seemed fair. It also looked so cool on my chiselled muscular body, contrasting with the white hair and the red eyes.

I wore my robes and went out to greet the Ancient One. She seemed surprised to see me for a moment before figuring it out.

I stood at about 6'2", so I had to tilt down a bit to meet her eye to eye, which a previously could not. It felt good to talk to people after such a long-time, face to face.
