Souls that were deported to the underworld through the ability, Guide of Souls, would transform into a devil serving as soldiers under the Demon God Clan's banner to fight for the greater cause.
And not just humans' souls that were applied here, monsters' souls could also be sent to the underworld to undergo devil transformation as well.
Feng Luotian sighed as he thought: "These villagers are workers under our clan, yet they seem to know nothing about it. And they don't even have any protection from the clan. What has Father been doing all this while and let this all happen?"
Normally, the worker branch of the underworld would be given protection strong enough for them to survive in their environment, together with supplies and skill tomes to cultivate their men.
When their strength became sufficient, they would move to the new location to guide stronger dead souls.
However, observing the current situation, no support was provided to this village, not even a stable home to live in, while also being attacked by bandits whose existences could be considered lower than ants compared to the cultivators from Demon God Clan.
The clan's weakest array could be set up to prevent even Wing Realm Masters from entering, much less someone in Fang Realm. This made Feng Luotian confused and angry at the same time.
Noticing him became silent all of a sudden, Wu Ya asked: "What's wrong, Benefactor?"
"Nothing. Just thinking about why you all have to live in this condition." Feng Luotian softly replied, showing his condolence.
Wu Ya's heart feel warm. She smiled as she received his sympathy: "Don't worry about it, Benefactor. Aside from being attacked by the bandits, we are really happy with our lives."
"Come on, Big Brother!! I'll take you to meet the village's head." Wu Xin tugged Feng Luotian's sleeve, completely ignorant to his current emotion.
"Oh? You're familiar with the village's head, Little Xin?"
Wu Xin was skipping as she led the way in a cheerful manner: "Of course, he's my father. Hehe."
Feng Luotian finally understood her meaning as he turned to Wu Ya: "I see. So that's why it will be fine as long as she says it."
Wu Ya smiled and invited him into the village, leading him to the biggest hut around. Along the way to that hut, she passed the basket full of herbs to the healer of the village to treat those who were injured by the bandit troupe before resuming her post as a guide.
The villagers were startled at first when they saw the unfamiliar young man entering the village, but after seeing that he came with Wu Ya and Wu Xin, they became relaxed and continued what they were doing.
Wu Xin, on the other hand, ran straight into the biggest hut and notified the people inside about their visitor.
Upon entering the hut, a bulky man, who was a Seven Fangs Fighter, approached to greet Feng Luotian with a friendly attitude.
Behind him, there were many muscular villagers standing in a circle around the center of the hut. They were holding a meeting just now.
"Benefactor, my name is Wu Neng, the head of this Raven Village. I heard you saved my wife and my daughter from those bandits. Please accept this one's gratitude." The village head cupped his hands and bowed.
This caused Feng Luotian to quickly receive the gesture: "You don't have to do this, Village Head."
"No. If you were not there, I might not have the chance to see my family again, so you deserve this, Benefactor." Wu Neng insisted
"Okay. I will humbly accept your feeling. Please be at ease."
"Thank you, Benefactor!!" Wu Neng gave another salute.
"And please call me Feng Luotian. I don't like being called 'Benefactor' all the time." He half-jokingly suggested with a wry smile. Yet, everyone in the room froze after they heard his name.
He became confused by their reactions, so he asked: "What's wrong, Village Head?"
"Your surname is Feng?" Wu Neng wished to confirm something.
"Yes. My name is Feng Luotian. Is there something wrong?"
People from the village were looking at each other until Wu Neng replied: "No, nothing. We probably got the wrong person. Anyway, Young Hero Feng, please sit with us."
Wu Neng then changed the subject and invited him to join their meeting.
Feng Luotian did not mind not getting the answer. If they did not wish to divulge it, he would not push it. In fact, he already guessed what that was all about.
After he sat amongst the circle of people, he noticed another girl who was around his age.
She wore regular clothing without any accessories. She might not be considered to be a beauty like the goddess Mei Yue'er, but she was quite adorable by her childish twin buns on her head, along with her shy and timid appearance.
Nevertheless, the light within her eyes was fierce enough to put out any thoughts of her being easy to bully.
Wu Xin caught the glance he gave towards the girl. She ran behind him and whispered: "That's Big Sister Tu I was talking about."
"Mhm. As I thought." Feng Luotian mumbled.
///// Six Fangs White Bolt Floral Rabbit
///// [Void Jump] : The user can jump from anything without ricocheting or impacting the jumping ground.
///// [Petal Prance] : Increase the user's jump speed and jump force when jumping from a flower petal.
"White Bolt Floral Rabbit? So, it's not really a flying ability but dual abilities instead." Feng Luotian was surprised, but not in the way he expected.
The bloodlines with dual abilities were different from what Feng Luotian had. What he got was two bloodlines with one ability each. This girl had only one bloodline but with two abilities. The rarity of such bloodlines was no different from those with flying ability.
He inwardly commented: "It's no wonder she can fly."
Actually, she could not actually fly, but she used her ability as means to travel in the air.
Tu Lingxi noticed his gaze and returned it with a simple nod.
Feng Luotian returned the gesture, and the meeting resumed.
Wu Ya started: "I have something to report. When I was picking healing herbs with Xin'er, we accidentally met with the troupe's third squad. I defeated six of them whose cultivation was lower than Three Fangs, but I could not fight their squad captain, so I ran. Afterward, they caught up, and we were almost killed by Xiong Fan. Luckily, Young Hero Feng saved us and killed him along with another one of his men."
"Young Hero Feng killed Xiong Fan?"
"How's that possible? I can't even sense any cultivation from him."
"And he looks just fine too. That means the battle must have been short and easy."
A commotion broke out amongst the crowd.
Tu Lingxi looked at Feng Luotian in a new light. She, too, could not sense one single ripple of Theríon from him.
And how could he kill someone at Six Fangs and without any injuries at all? Tu Lingxi herself could not defeat Xiong Fan without using her ultimate move, much less kill him uninjured.
Wu Ya smiled and decided to add some fuel to the fire: "More than that, he used only two moves to twist Xiong Fan's head off."
"What?!"
"That's bullshit!!"
"Who dares say my wife is bullshit. You're looking for a beating."
"But that's not possible. He looks only fourteen or fifteen!!"
The commotion got even louder and longer than before.
"Amazing!!" Tu Lingxi could not help but exclaim in admiration. She thoroughly believed Wu Ya's words, as they were close.
"May I know your cultivation level, Young Hero Feng?" Wu Neng asked as the lack of aura did not represent the real cultivation in this martial world.
Feng Luotian flatly answered: "I am a Five Fangs Fighter."
Hiss.
Everyone in the room could not help but take a full cold breath. Some of them even got goosebumps.
Wu Ya, who told the story to tease the crowd, also did not expect this. She thought his cultivation would be much higher, judging from the fact that he could easily kill one of the bandit captains.
"You have my utter respect, Young Hero Feng." Wu Neng spoke as he cupped his hand, while the rest of the villagers followed suit.
After that, he resumed the meeting: "Well, let's turn back to the main topic. With their third squad annihilated, their force should be considerably weakened. Nevertheless, with their troupe leader being an Eight Fangs Fighter along with his men, we still have no hope to contend against them.
"The only thing we could do now is to stay in a defensive position. The moment we saw the troupe leader, Miss Tu here, would ambush their base to set their hideout on fire. This way, their troupe leader won't have an easy mind leaving his place."
The rest nodded their heads, but suddenly, a stern voice sounded.
"I disagree."
It was Feng Luotian who interjected everyone's all-agreeing thoughts. They turned their heads toward him with perplexed gaze because what their village head said should be the optimal tactic to deal with the bandit troupe, yet this young man had disagreed with the idea.
