"In my time alive, I have come to learn a great many things." This is Spring's thoughts as he leaves the cave, where his friends lay.
"Master Armon, you had created me for a singular purpose, but I have found more to life with these people, nevertheless I owe thanks to you, Master Dwarf, Sir. Elf, and Miss.Tabaxi for all of your teachings" Spring leaves, running to the city. A full day's journey by foot awaited him.

In the time before the party found him, Spring wandered aimlessly within a forest. His only directive, to find and kill any false hydras that sprout. At the time he did not know that they would only germinate within cities.
Donavin the paladin saw Spring, completely motionless, low to the ground near a pond. None of them had thought to check if the warforged was still active. When Donivan approached, he had snapped a twig under his boot causing Spring to react by swinging his sword at the sound. This particular action almost cost the paladin his life, with Spring's greatsword mere inches from Donovan's throat.
"Woah there friend, I didn't mean to startle you. If you don't mind what are you doing out here?" Although Spring knew that this being was talking to him, he knew not of this man and thus was weary of him.
"Who are you, and be you friend or foe!" Spring's voice module, though old, still managed to get the words out. Donavin stood in shock at the warforged, never in his life had he interacted with one that wasn't berzerk and trying to kill him.
"My name is Sir. Donavin, Holy paladin of the church of light and life. I and my friends are not your foe, and mean you no harm." Donavin, still in shock, allowed his awe to take over, and marvel at the mechanical being.
"Oh, no there he goes again." Chelcy said to the group whom was looking on at Donavin, who was with great blatancy was attempting to recruit the warforged into the party.
Spring's time with them was educational.
Through Donavin, Spring learned better mastery of his greatsword.
Through Ritchard he learned how better to be hidden in plain sight, and gained a mastery of persuasion.
As a joke, the party has a silver tongue made for Spring. To Spring that was the first and greatest sign of their friendship.

"You will die you foul beast!" Spring lets out a mighty roar, the civilians run in terror of the warforged thinking that he has lost his sanity and gone berserk. Spring swings and cleaves through some of the roots that are the false hydra. In that moment a few things happened.
First the hydra appears before the city. Second the beast lets out a shriek so loud it threatens to deafen any who were too close. Lastly, after a few moments for the population to recover, the entire city went into a state of pure panic, running off in all directions. Spring did his best to avoid hitting any civilians while attacking the beast.
The beast shrieks, and fades from public view. The people running away in fear stop, uncertain of why they were running away. Slowly, they return to their homes. Many pass the blood covered warforged, and keep walking Almost like they can't see him.

"Armon, what is the point of preparing to kill something that is already dead?"Armon looks at Spring, for just a few moments, it was unclear if there was confusion, or frustration.
"Why have paladins that slay the undead? Why build walls to protect cities? You ask why one prepared for the worst. Spring my son, the reason we prepare is to protect the things we love, and hold close to ou- o- our hea..." In that moment Armon's eyes closed and never opened again. It would be about two years before Spring left Armon's body to fulfill his objective.
Over those long years, Spring buried his father, and cleaned the workshop. In cleaning Armon's workshop he found a strange jewel, the true value of which he would not learn until after meeting his companions.

Spring charges in on the beast once again, though for the first time ever, Spring feels anger and happiness, fear and bravery, sorrow and releaf.
"I am always with you my son, now fight with honor and protect that which you cherish."
