Kyren tested out [Gene Transformation: Focused Transformation] many times in the most unique ways possible. It truly seemed as though the armor could adapt to any changes in his body so long as he didn't get too big. His dragon form was out of the picture unless there was a serious upgrade to the armor that Darien was far from being capable of doing.
Although organic equipment had countless benefits, it was also dangerous technology so it wasn't used all the time. The soul that developed inside was a great example, and if it gained too much power or consciousness, then it could gain independence. Death magic could also mess with the functions of the armor but not destroy it, only tamper.
Another huge downside to the organic items was that unlike regular equipment, it needed item energy to be able to perform. If this energy ran out, then the armor would become sluggish and abilities would stop working, making it unusable until it could recharge.
He however could counteract most of the downsides. If he rerouted a fourth of a percent at a minimum of his mana recovery rate to the armor, then the armor would never run out of energy as long as the consumption didn't get ridiculous. His life mana could negate any death magic tampering to the suit so that wasn't to big a problem for him either. This armor was perfect for him specifically because he would pretty much enjoy the advantages and ignoring the disadvantages.
While he and Rayna marveled at the suit, Darien grabbed some items from somewhere nearby and presented them to Kyren.
There were two items in the first batch he brought over, pairs of semi-organic draconic combat boots and gauntlets. They matched the armor perfectly but more fiercely and lethally. Unlike Draconic Animate's non-threatening hands and feet, these items had long and menacing dragon claws that seemed like they would make it difficult to hold any handheld weapons. The gauntlets stretched along the arm and even covered some of the shoulders while the boots covered the feet, shin, and a little bit of the knee. These items looked like they were solely meant for tearing and shredding targets, but they were also able to still use martial techniques when necessary. They were apart of the Draconic Animate set so they had similar abilities.
The last two items were two overly large double-edged greatswords with large blades that almost reached his chest height.
Sadly, they weren't semi-organic so they would need to go through upgrades from Darien. Upgrading equipment sometimes took more time than creating the equipment in some cases, depending on the number of changes and increase in power. What was even sadder was that Darien was nowhere close to being strong enough to make use of five-star materials, which was the bare minimum level of equipment that Kyren could use sustainably.
The larger the difference in power between user and item, the greater the risk. If the user was too strong then the durability would drop far too quickly with a high chance of breaking. If the item was too powerful, it was lethal and most probably fatal even if the difference in power wasn't large. That's if the user could even use the item.
Another solution would be to create semi-organic swords so that Kyren could upgrade them. But that's if they happened to obtain that special ability, [Organic Uprgrade Potential], which he didn't believe was a problem with his luck. The problem was that Kyren didn't want too many organic items to maintain with his mana because he didn't want to create too much unnecessary upkeep. Although it didn't seem like he needed to supply much, that was only the minimum and the upkeep could rise to a point where he couldn't maintain even at his level. That could create incredibly risky situations that could be the deciding factor in a battle.
He was forced to reject the swords unwillingly for now, but he promised Darien to fund him as much as possible so that he could raise his job to a necessary level. Darien was taken aback by this at first, but not by too much because he already had a wild guess that Kyren was too powerful for the equipment based on him using such powerful armor so easily. He didn't want his precious masterpieces to get ruined so he had to also wait until he could upgrade them.
While the swords were being put away, Kyren stuffed Elder Dragonoid parts into the boots and gauntlets to upgrade them. Since they were made within the same batch and were set equipment with the armor, they also gained similar abilities and around the same stats. He decided to open up the status window of all the items to properly assess the change of power they gave him.

The gauntlets and the boots were practically the same so he didn't bother looking over the boots. Something however did catch his attention which he didn't notice before. He looked Darien up and down, seemingly sizing him up, "A Super Forger?"
"HAHA, your good eye continues to amaze me! After making this equipment, I've seemed to have advanced to the next level and I can already feel and visibly see the benefits. I've been stuck as an Apex Forger ever since my prime year's in youth and this special living armor helped me cross that line.
By the way, sorry that I didn't get any other weapons done by now. Organic items take a much larger amount of time to create. I guess that's a good thing though, since you can't use my equipment and all...
This stuff can be used by S~grade beings, which are the pinnacle of the Mortal Realm..... So does that mean your 'that' strong?" His tone was unconsciously cautious and prodding with a serious expression. It was just too difficult to believe so depending on his answer...
"Ah, about that... I've seem to received the favor of a God."
"A-A-A G-GOD!?!?!" He sincerely wondered if he misheard because of Kyren's nonchalant voice and demeanor.
Rayna also seemed to heave a sigh of understanding. She also received the boon of a divine being so it made much more sense to her about his power spurt. She was worried that he used some dark and less agreeable methods to get to where he was at now so a large weight was lifted off of her shoulders.
"..." Although it was a complete lie, it made a perfect excuse for his extremely sudden power increase. He trusted Darien and Rayna with even his bigger secrets, but they weren't ready for the truth. He waited a few moments to let the shocked man calm down before asking a question, "How do we bind our souls to these items?"
Darien pushed his roaring thoughts to the back of his mind and regained his professional aura. The process of soul binding to items was complicated and required elevated thinking. As he explained though, Leo did most of the heavy lifting so Kyren didn't need to exert too much mental energy. It was a grueling operation on the mind that Rayna, who didn't have someone like Leo, was struggling with. Even with unfathomable growth potential helping the speed of understanding and learning, it was still difficult.
They were supposed to "wrap their mind and soul around the item" and "feel every nook and cranny with their mere thought" all while blocking their physical senses. Of course, Kyren also used soul mana to aid them both by physically connecting them, which significantly decreased the burden for Rayna and made it even easier than it already was for him.
While they did this, he also calculated just how much power he gained from the items and he was astonished. His power went from "U" to "U+" which was like the difference between heaven and earth. Now that he was a transcendent, the difference between having and not having a plus was similar to the difference between grades in the Mortal Realm. If before he could handle tens of T~grades or behemoths at once, he could now handle hundred. Such an increase to power just because of some items and armor was terrifying.
'I suddenly feel a little less sad about not having two giant swords...'
